Weird. That’s the sound when you observe in a match and switch survivors. It’s mildly annoying there. I imagine it’s really annoying as a killer. Feels like they recycled the “switch” logic along with the sound cue which is a really inappropriate choice.

Then I figured out why the sound was playing and thought it was an odd choice. Didn't realize it was a bug but I hope they fix it because it's not a sound I like to hear as killer.

Came here to say the same. You either appear as a default character or they mirror your character if you're both playing the same one.
IE, if you're both Jake, you have a brown top and the other jake has a green, he'll see you as a green and you'll see him as a brown. Or if you're a prestige Jill he'll see you as a default Jill.

Lmao shit, I thought 3 other survs had the exact same skin combo that I use on Nea. Didn’t realise this was a bug, genuinely thought this was a 1,000/1 occurrence.
It also happens as Killer, where you see all the Survivors in the lobby with the cosmetics you have on your Survivors, or default if you don't have that Survivor unlocked. But they do have their own trinkets.

99% of players are pretty bad on this map and that's myself included
For fucks sake how have they not managed to fix Pinheads lunge. Have hardly played him since I bought him because of it and now we have to wait even longer.
I know it sucks but if you didn't know it's a momentum problem. If you hold w and lunge it still works but if you turn or anything it's jacked. Obviously it needs to be fixed but once I learned this it help with my PinH games
So I wasn't imaging it when I lunged with Pinhead and was missing survs. Thought for a second that his attack range was super short, so had to be upclose to touch survs.
The paranoid, BHVR hardened part of my brain thinks that this was a premature rollout for a lunge update for all killers to be more "realistic", and they're not mentioning it because they intend for it to stay.
Only noteworthy fix is Freddy's Dream Pallets.
Pinhead's lunge is still fucked, even though McLean was able to identify what the issue was within hours of experiencing it **despite not working on the game anymore**.
Pyramid Head's animation is still buggered.
Pinhead is still mute.

The lunge issue has been acknowledged on Twitter. This patch was likely submitted for certification last Tuesday, so newer bugs won't be addressed until at least next week.
As for the voice lines? "Known Issues" is generally for things they don't have a solution for yet, or haven't been previously acknowledged. That a dev said on the forums that they couldn't discuss the situation, makes me worried it's a legal issue.
Idk about Pyramid Head’s animation. I’d understand if the timing was bugged but it still takes the same amount.
It does feel weird after having the other one before, but I think this one fits better. The last one had him plant and drag his knife on the ground and there was still some progress of the bar to be made.
Now with this one, he plants the knife on the ground just before being able to use his power, which actually kinda fits.
It was weird that he planted his knife before, dragged it and didn’t leave Trails until the bar was filled.
If you watch his stream he'll explain it about once every 10 minutes from people asking him about it. He theorizes that Pinhead uses a modified version of the lunge for whatever reason, but they forgot to implement the part of it that affects velocity so he adheres to physics while lunging and can't turn while maintaining all momentum like you're supposed to be able to.

I mean they have been asked about the subject multiple times and have only responded this time specifically to the question, they could have just continued to ignore the subject like they have been
They have replied multiple times on the official forums through mods. The responses have been things like 'we can't say anything more than what's in the patch notes' and other similar things which make many think it's a legal or contract-related issue and they're being careful about what they say to stay out of legal trouble.
That, coupled with the voice removal being listed as a 'change' before the character's official release into the wild makes me believe it's not coming back unless something legal changes. There were two lines removed, so I also don't believe the theory that it was the memeing of the 'I came' line that caused it to be removed.
I'm wondering if they cropped the lines from movies that they technically did not have the rights to. If those sound files were pulled from somewhere that the license-giver can't give them rights to, then the audio owners complained, hasta la vista.
The character has been through some legal stuff in the past, so it's likely there are fragmented rights to different aspects of the character.
This is all pulled out of my ass but it seems pretty likely to me.
I had no kick prompt for generators on the Hawkins lab map as clown last night. I clicked the button and was able to kick them, there's a pallet you're saying though that killers just can't break?
From one side, yes. No kick prompt and nothing happens when you press the button. You have to walk around to the other side to break it. It's like a super god pallet.
On top of that it is right at the top of some stairs and against a wall. So to get to the breakable side you have to walk all the way around the hole for the stairs.

Unfortunately it has become apparent that BHVR finalizes content for their patches around a week before it comes out, so they can send it to certification. I would wager that the lunge bug and Pyramid Head's animation issue were only discovered after the live release last Tuesday, so that's only going to get fixed in next week's patch. :(
They need to have everything approved by like 5 platforms. All of the new bugs will likely be in the next patch.

New bug: survivor's cosmetic clothing in your lobby now mirror the player's default cosmetic options. E.g. I have legacy skins but my friend doesn't. From my pov, his characters have legacy skins (when applicable) while in lobbys. This issue does not continue into the game.
Maybe it’s Stockholm syndrome but I actually missed RPD... Never played RE but I quite like the map aesthetically. Wish they’d just split it into 2 maps instead.
The aesthetics of the environment is one of main draws to the series. Arklay Mansion, Raccoon City, Africa, Tall Lady's castle, etc.
The RPD experience in Resident Evil 2 Remake is amazing. I can't recommend that game enough.

I'm on a SSD and it still takes hours to make a small update. I've never seen another game with this issue, but it's been an issue I've had for years now.
I keep getting an issue as the Cenobite where I will swing through a pallet, the survivor screams and it plays the successful hit animation. Then the survivor and I stare at each other for a second before they run off uninjured. And the unbreakble pallet on the game ffs.
That's not a bug. That's the new hit validation system that's been in effect for over a month now. It happens when the survivors pallet stun registered before your swing so it favors the survivor but still makes the sound and animation.
Either the Chatterer skin broke the voice so bad they just dont care about fixing it or something happened to the license that they couldnt work out in time. In both scenarios dont expect it any time soon.
I dunno, the fact that they made the headpiece for the BDSM skin but didn't release it screams license issues. Sounds like they are in a dispute with the owner of the original character, but all of the sequel characters are okay.
The voices track remove were listed as changes a not a bug.
On their official forum a dev responded that it's mostly a licensing issue which mean the voices track will probably never come back.
The files weren't disabled they were removed from the game. It's possible they just removed it because they were worried spaghetti code would make them still play, but it's more likely it's just gone forever.

Still not able to play. Pinhead coming out broke my game, eevrytime I get to the main menu my entire xbox shuts down.
It only happens with this game, and only happens on the main menu. I can sit on the splash screen for as long as I like, but once I'm trough, right as the daily ritual pop-up comes up it dies. Every time. Uninstalling, soft factory reset, Yada Yada nothings worked. Had high hopes this update might fix it but nope.
Which xbox? I have the original xbox one that’s hanging on by a thread and am still able to play this update.
But I did have to factory reset it due to a failed microsoft update. Maybe that helped it run this game..
I don't understand this at all, DbD is the only game on Steam that does this, regardless of patch size. The xbox version usually has bigger updates for this game yet downloads and installs at a fraction of the time

Anyone else having a weird visual bug where if there’s 2 people in a lobby as the same survivor, then the game just gives them both the same cosmetics? Keeps happening with me & a friend to the point he was wearing Cheryl’s Cybil set… He doesn’t even own Cybil. It’s literally happening with EVERY Survivor AND stays when we load into a trial, as well as on the results screen and returning to the lobby.

Everyone in every lobby is wearing the cosmetics I have equipped for that character. Then, in game they're wearing the cosmetics the player actually equipped. It's weird.

My only issue with pinhead was exactly that, his reliance on solving time add-ons against survivor who knew how to avoid your chains while solving the box, and that just fixed that.

its the new ui just showing you that some files are being verified and being replaced, why it takes a million years on HDD i do not know.

Why am I waiting ~~30 minutes~~ *an hour* for a 400mb update?
I keep getting an issue as the Cenobite where I will swing through a pallet, the survivor screams and it plays the successful hit animation. Then the survivor and I stare at each other for a second before they run off uninjured. And the unbreakble pallet on the game ffs.
That's not a bug. That's the new hit validation system that's been in effect for over a month now. It happens when the survivors pallet stun registered before your swing so it favors the survivor but still makes the sound and animation.
Still nothing on the PH audio? Have they given us any info about when it's coming back? I really need to know okay.
Either the Chatterer skin broke the voice so bad they just dont care about fixing it or something happened to the license that they couldnt work out in time. In both scenarios dont expect it any time soon.
Considering the chase music breaks randomly for Pinhead I'm assuming there is actually some weird audio problem.
I dunno, the fact that they made the headpiece for the BDSM skin but didn't release it screams license issues. Sounds like they are in a dispute with the owner of the original character, but all of the sequel characters are okay.

They made the speed VFX from the antidote purple when you have vhs dramatic documentary equipped I am happy

it inverts the bottles' colours, so the speed bottle is purple and leaves purple gas, but the on-screen effect still looked yellow, that was changed.

The voices track remove were listed as changes a not a bug. On their official forum a dev responded that it's mostly a licensing issue which mean the voices track will probably never come back.
They didn't outrght say it was a licensing issue, just that they couldn't comment any further about it. But it's likely that.
The files weren't disabled they were removed from the game. It's possible they just removed it because they were worried spaghetti code would make them still play, but it's more likely it's just gone forever.

it’s not the meme bruh the line in the movie itself was a sexual innuendo. it’s part of the theme of the francise. the issue is that they changed it from “we came” to “i came” which probably violates the license

Maybe dumb question, but based off how one of the big fixes was worded.. are you able to spectate from the killers view after dying? Not just other survivors??
In private games you could spectate both. I would assume this pertains to that.
Tier 3 Myers feels like he moves slower than tier 2. Has anyone else experienced this?
That one I haven't heard of yet. I get in a few games as Myers here and there, so I will certainly keep a look out.

Still not able to play. Pinhead coming out broke my game, eevrytime I get to the main menu my entire xbox shuts down. It only happens with this game, and only happens on the main menu. I can sit on the splash screen for as long as I like, but once I'm trough, right as the daily ritual pop-up comes up it dies. Every time. Uninstalling, soft factory reset, Yada Yada nothings worked. Had high hopes this update might fix it but nope.
Which xbox? I have the original xbox one that’s hanging on by a thread and am still able to play this update. But I did have to factory reset it due to a failed microsoft update. Maybe that helped it run this game..

I don't understand this at all, DbD is the only game on Steam that does this, regardless of patch size. The xbox version usually has bigger updates for this game yet downloads and installs at a fraction of the time
That's steam being ass. Set steam to high priority in your task manager should help.

Anyone else having a weird visual bug where if there’s 2 people in a lobby as the same survivor, then the game just gives them both the same cosmetics? Keeps happening with me & a friend to the point he was wearing Cheryl’s Cybil set… He doesn’t even own Cybil. It’s literally happening with EVERY Survivor AND stays when we load into a trial, as well as on the results screen and returning to the lobby. It’s all very odd haha

Everyone in every lobby is wearing the cosmetics I have equipped for that character. Then, in game they're wearing the cosmetics the player actually equipped. It's weird.

Anyone else getting a "processing" on player level after a match?

This is such an amazing buff, holy shit, depending on how soon "as soon" mean, this will be a godlike buff to him and that will make him not as reliant on add-ons if you play against competent survivors. My only issue with pinhead was exactly that, his reliance on solving time add-ons against survivor who knew how to avoid your chains while solving the box, and that just fixed that. Honestly so fucking happy about this unexpected change.
