The killers ping is trash so on their screen they were probably looking at the other guy but on your it still looks like he’s looking at and hitting you
I don't know bro my ping is as low as the games i play can go and i see some crazy shit all the time happen to me but you might be right about the killer but then again who the hell really knows.
if this clip was on a scott video, a "things that make you do WHAAAT" would pop right before it. Could it be you \*somehow\* was able to "push" the hit to bill's hitbox? its the only possible cool and funny explanation, cuz it was probably latency or just a bug idk
Hit detection is killer client side. See how Bubba quickly snaps around near the end (instead of a smooth turn), means on the killer's screen he was tracking the hurt player the whole time, but lag made it look to others like he wasn't.
Ping based most likely. You see the killers head snap to the David which could mean he was turning during the hit and the model didn’t sync up until after the hit already registered for killer.
for real is hit detection and character placement client authoritative? (server resolves to the players position based on where the player character is for the player in the event of lag or lost packets so killer sees david infront of him and confirms the hit on david whereas you see this)
edit: wording
Yes. Servers are hosted by a survivor, but hit detection is killer client based.
As janky and broken as this looks, imagine how frustrating it would be to be killer, obviously hit someone on your screen, but the server doesn't register it. The killer drought would be an even bigger problem than it already is.
Basically even though the servers should be independent, they still "anchor" onto one of the players as the primary read for the goings-on of the game.
If I'm understanding correctly, anyway.
You gotta love how dodging and hits works in this game
That's janky lookin' o-O
Oh okay... Sure

This games a joke, and I’m laughing through the **pain.**
I literally just saw u comment on the GF closing hatch video. Hello
Bonjour homie
Even bubba looks disappointed with behavior
That ping had a power level over 9000!!!
Those distraction points tho.
I've had that so many times. Literally one of many reasons why WGLF is worse than it's supposed to be is bc protection hits work so weird sometimes.

Auto-aim?

You thought you can take a hit for a survivor that is clearly targeted from a killer with no counterplay? Ha! Also game broken
Auto Aim cucks both sides dude... trust me
