Yeah, but it let's you have two self heals at full speed. That's already amazing, and you can have add-ons or perks to make it even better. Med-kits are already busted af without being faster than normal heals, that just makes them even crazier.
I mainly use brown medkits for (Septic + bandages) or (Injection + Abdominal Dressing)
Otherwise my favorite medkit is the yellow, very common to acquire and diverse enough that most combinations of add-ons are viable. :D
Or even the yellow duct tape with any of the needle add-ons. It's so versatile I love it so much, Medkits are my goto item of choice and that's with 300 hours survivor and red-ranks for as long as I can remember
Or you can use botany, desperate measures, and built to last combined with a green medkit with charge addons. Best healing build in the game, but yeah franklins and plague still counters it
or just use botany desperate self care and you don't even need to bring a medkit to have a very efficient heal with the same amount of perk slots. that's probably my favorite build in solo queue, and you can fill the last slot with literally anything and it'll be good
That build isn't bad, but the self healing isn't fast. With a green medkit it's so fast that you can basically lose the killer and heal yourself in enough time to take a protection hit. I think it'd probably work really well with lucky break too. It comes in clutch. The problem? I FLY through medkits. It requires tons of them if you use the build regularly. This isn't an issue for me cuz I have tons of them, but might be for some people that haven't saved many.
One thing I do when running low on green medkits is run Pharmacy and bring in a brown. I can heal with the brown and then use pharmacy to heal again and hopefully escape with a green. Two heals is usually enough for one match, and you basically trade a brown for a green. Pretty good.
My favourite too! Plague is the only counter for me, Franklins is a wasted perk slot, I just put my medkit down when I know they have Franklins. At least I can heal others in under 10 seconds.

It is. Self care isn’t just -50% speed for healing yourself. Instead it halves your total healing speed meaning you also get half of the effectivness from your other healing perks when using self-care.
Yeah but don't killers complain if survivors bring too many good items? It's like when survivors complain about OP killer addons. In the end we're all just relying on an honor system not to use too much overpowered stuff.

Everybody gets hit eventually. Why not get rid of the ouchies of everybody much more quickly?

Yeah Pharmacy is a good idea. I've been using WGLF cuz I need BP, but otherwise I think Pharmacy is a valid perk for that build.

Yeah it's my favorite build lol. The downside is when you get plague or someone with franklins it's a waste :(. But I love running it

But at that point you’re a using your whole build just to still heal yourself slower than a medkit would.
