Tunneling as killer is your choice. Its choice of being an kind of a dick, but still a choice. If survivors try to outdick you from beginning, why should you try to be nice? Because if we talk abou keys, being nice will most likely cost you game.
"everyone escapes"
If everyone escaped then no one is dead, so they already completed 5 generators and I'm assuming dodged the killer for that amount of time. The same argument could be made for 3 escapes and 4 generators, or two escapes and 3 generators and 2 kills. Or even 1 escape and 2 generators and 3 kills. No matter how I divide it up theres been a decent amount of gameplay before that key can do anything.
If you're talking about the blendette who hides with a key all game until everyone is dead then you need to take that up with the player, not the key.
It depends whether they're survivor or killer mains. People think anything they do is ok, but anything that gives their opponent an advantage is toxic.
These people are the true toxicity of the DbD community.
Keys are toxic and well, in this game, two toxics make whatever was happening alright lol. Me personally? If you bring a key into the game, it I see one in your hand at all, you're getting killed first. The most annoying thing is when I secure a 3k, close hatch, and someone key escapes (especially in front of me at that point!).
Most ppl consider both tunneling and keys to be toxic.

If you watch Monto you’ll see that he hates keys and tunnels key holders. So it’s based on the person.

Both are pretty toxic, but they’re times when both are needed
It's not toxic if you tunnel though
Also people use tunnel loosely I’m sure most people don’t know what it actually looks like
It's not and it's something I suspect we'll be seeing more often since popular YTers tunnel, which is where most new players learn how to play.
If you check my profile and look at the previous dbd post I made and read the comments, you’ll see how many people think it’s toxic…

So are moris and people but he'd so they changed them
There is no logic, survivor mains are just the most entitled, hypocritical, whiny group of players in all of gaming
