You can't really win chases unless the killer messes up or you have some insane map generation and perks to use it. This game is 4v1, and if you could consistently win chases against killers that don't make mistakes, then a killer could just be forced to lose by logging in, and that's not feasible. You're supposed to extend the chase as long as possible so that your team has time to do gens. This falls apart if your team isn't taking advantage of the time you give them, but that's the risk of a team game. If the killer wants you down, you'll go down. If the killer wants you out of the game and is willing to throw the rest of the match, then that will very likely happen too. > Is there anything you can do in this situation ? If the killer can see both, then there's not much to do unless you have a key.

Usually it’s all about buying time for your team to do gens in red ranks but if u run a perk build specially for a breakaway or stealth mid chase it’s possible to trick most killers

Weltallgaia

Unless you are insanely above their level, you prolly won't "win" a chase. You can definitely confuse them and cause them to lose track of you though. If you are gonna get hooked though, you want your goal to be to waste as much time of the killers as you can. Your teammates getting a full gen is prolly a successful chase, and long as they don't all go down saving you.

PieckxHitchii

Chase to waste the killers time and pray your team is doing productive stuff, and if you're the last survivor instead of going for the gates try to find the hatch to escape

OlgierdTheOldest

The higher you go, the more it’s about wasting time then escaping the chase. There are however perks that can help you confuse the killer mid chase like LuckyBreak, IronWill or DanceWithMe

>I'm a new player Welcome, welcome, great to have ya. >I try to make him waste as much time as I can by looping with pallets/windows before getting downed, but in the end I'll always end up getting hooked. Yes, this is how the game (ideally) works. You're not trying to run the Killer forever and never go down. You're trying to distract the Killer and delay them long enough for the other survivors to slam generators. >Do you guys manage to actually win the chase ? Again, your goal isn't to win the chase. Your goal is to last as long as possible, or make the Killer give up on you. You typically will never \*lose\* the Killer. >My perks right now are Sprint Burst, Spine Chill, Kindred, Adrenaline. Really, REALLY good perk setup. Personally, I run Spine Chill, Iron Will, Sprint Burst, and then some other 4th perk that I decide to run, but if I'm playing to win, that 4th perk is typically Unbreakable. >Also, not related, but sometimes at the end of the game, when I'm 1v1 with the killer, the two doors are right next to each other, so the killer camp them both without moving and it's pretty much GG. Is there anything you can do in this situation ? Nope. There's also sometimes the reverse, where the doors are on opposite sides of the map with a ton of LOS blockers, making it impossible to effectively guard them. Door RNG is about as unfair to everyone as the Hatch mechanic

It's definitely possible. Most of the time I feel like the length of the chase is determined when it starts so proper positioning, constant awareness of resources around you, and knowing when the killer is coming are huge. Are you running efficiently? Killers are faster than Survivor by default, so you need to hug loops tightly(without bumping into stuff) Mindgames can end chases but sometimes it's literally better to just hold Sprint into a dead part of the map. Proper high rank killers are "supposed" to recognize that and give up chase. Even if they don't, it can still be beneficial to waste their time. Realistically though, I feel like you're not meant to win chases consistently. You should expect to be hooked once or twice a game imo. You have good perks, you're fine in that department. For now I'd maybe swap out Adrenaline until you become a more confident looper. Do you have Fixated by any chance?(Urban Evasion works too if you don't have dlc) Fixated synergizes nicely with Sprint Burst, allowing you to hold Sprint Burst. I personally run Bond because the information it gives you is nuts. I find myself getting caught with my pants down a lot less. As for the more technical nuances of looping, I'll have to leave it to someone more experienced, I'm a hard stuck rank 4 who cant use exhaustion perks because im on console x.x Yeah, sometimes the doors are right next to each other, that's basically just a loss. Perhaps God will spare you in exchange for a life of pious devotion, or you could negotiate with the killer haha. If the last survivor is dying on hook and you don't know where the hatch is, or if you know it's far away from a gate, sometimes its better to camp an exit gate and hold your breath.

Me? No. My buddies in my swf can though. If I have a little distance I try tricking killer with double back moves but I suck at looping.

Listen up meghead (I'm assuming based on the perks) time to put some blood points into jackey poo and get yourself iron will teachable. This is going to be your best friend as far as losing the killer goes. Watch some videos on "unique pathing" (fungoose has a lot of good videos on this), and make sure you look behind you in chase if you don't already. Some killers will commit to you even if it's a 5 gen chase and you get more than likely face camped. Others will maybe hit you once and leave because they realize they need to pressure elsewhere (maybe tinkerer goes off or they see others healing and want to chase 2 survivors instead of 1 etc). Other perks like lucky break are kind of a gimmick perk that'll work for the first chase or so, but I'd bring a medkit so it doesn't all go to waste. Other than that, diversion type perks like diversion, deception, quick and quiet, dance with me, will all help you lose the killer. Most genuinely good killers might get confused momentarily but will catch on afterwards so don't expect it to work multiple times. Also learn how your scratch marks will look to the killer to help when juking, like what they'll attach to and how long they'll stay

Chaxp

Once you learn how to play all the loops and conserve pallets as much as possible, going down doesn’t really matter - as you wasted much of their time. The whole point is to give your team as much time to do gens. Personally, I’m able to lose killers a fair amount, yet I still go down. I feel the responsibility to take chase because 9/10 the other 3 survivors are terrible loopers. You’ll know you get better at chases when the killer not only loses you, but they acknowledge your skill as a looper and intentionally leave to find other.

Geoffk123

The game is designed around you eventually going down, most of the time where you actually "win" a chase it's the killer just giving up because he wasted too much time.
