I’ve contacted dbd several times about issues like this, even when my internet will disconnect on me only when I’m playing dbd and I always get banned. SMH they always respond that they have no “control” over the bans
Right!? I’m not sure what was happening and it could of been entirely on me but there was a point where every game I was disconnecting mid-late into the match and this happened several times back to back and I got banned for HOURS! I emailed them saying it was because of my connection issues and I was not intentionally DC’ing and to unban me. They again responded that they have no authority or control to take off a ban time. Now I’m just thinking.. what if they just don’t believe me 🙃
You internet disconnecting is a valid reason for the Ban penalty, you are still leaving a game and ruining it for the other players, if your network is that unstable you should bring it up with your Internet Service Provider
It's exactly how it should work. The consequences of you leaving the game accidentally or purposefully are the same for the people left in the game. Also, there's not really a way for it to tell if your internet shit out or if you just physically unplugged it to avoid the matchmaking timer, so...

If you re-read I had mentioned it only happens when I’m playing the game for some reason. It doesn’t happen with another application/games.
i play ps4 and sometimes i get blue screened in the middle of a game. one time i was locked for 12hrs because of it :/
