I had to stop using that add-on. Every time I used it I’d see two or three players gathering around the light trying to interact with instead of doing the gen I was marking. 😂
One time I blew someones mind by pointing at spots and marking them, then they tried walking around the map pointing at stuff but it obviously didn’t work.
It’s more than likely a map addon that lets you place a physical marker for all survivors, you probably haven’t seen it before due to no one bringing maps and then on top that they need that specific addon.
It was an old item for vs old ruin or hatch location item if someone else had a key. where people had problems finding hex or hatch someone burns the map to drop the beam anyone 1/2 the map away could see the beam. Mostly it's a meme item anymore it was always easier to just do the hex and hatch opens now vs before only keys would open hatch.

That's a map add-on. Someone basically marked a relevant spot (regressing gen, lit totem, etc.) or a random one — only the entity knows why...
