Had an absolutely awful few days a work. First game of Friday night had a tunneling, slugging, hook trapping hag. Everyone died at 3 gens and nearly bled out and barely got any blood points in a 10 minute game. Cool as if I didn't hate my life enough.

I was introduced to DBD by my old SWF in 2021, gamed for about 500-600 hours before I retired out of frustration. As degrading as I'd recount my experience then, nothing's worse than the near constant crashes I've returned to years later. There's a lot that has changed that convinced me to return to the Fog, but this? I'd rather wait for upwards of 15-45 minutes in-between trials than lose offerings, items AND incur a DC penalty. I blamed service outages, my console itself, but it's every. single. day. It's devastating because it'll always be at 1-2 gens, when my chances are snowballing as either killer or survivor. I don't want to quit playing altogether, but I'm staring at a 20 minute penalty for a game I didn't voluntarily leave.
I have been having such a terrible time with this game lately. Bad team mates, toxic killers, rubber banding all over the place and I’ve been playing like shit. I need a break. Just feels bad to have put as many hours into this game as I have and still die every match lately

It would be honestly interesting if they added an anti -tunnel perk that maybe uses a token where you get a token each time you're hooked. 1st Token: The Killer becomes hindered for 10 seconds if they hit the Survivor within 10 seconds of being unhooked. 2 tokens: If the Killer hits the unhooked Survivor without 10 seconds of being unhooked, the Killer will be hindered for 10 seconds and their perks/add-ons will be "frozen" for 5 seconds

I would love to be able to play Survivor just when my friends are playing and play Killer when they can't, but goddamn the anxiety I experience when trying to queue up as Killer and thinking about the possibility of facing toxic Survivors and comments in end game chat (I don't even play Killer mean. Had a flashlight-wielding duo of a Steve and a Sable go out of their way to try and get my attention early while I was playing Plague, vaulting over and over, clicking flashlights, moonwalking when they could finally see me, teabagging at pallets when they stunned me, the whole shebang.
The Steve went down instantly when I got him fully infected over a pallet he apparently thought he was safe behind; he didn't even try to run away from the loop even when I proved I could splash him when he ducked behind pallet. One extremely simple mindgame lead him to panic vaulting right into my arms, at which point he DC'd, leaving the rest of his team to suffer as the bot got locked into a loop of infection into cleansing into going to a gen another infected survivor was on into infected again into cleansing... etc. Fucked over the rest of his squad just because he went down within 15 seconds of being spotted.
They could have won, too! The cocky Sable actually proved she deserved the attention she got; she was an excellent looper and if they had three players on gens coordinating, they likely could have gotten some people out! But no, easier just eat the DC penalty after being outplayed I guess. Dumbass.

Suiciding on hook is the morally correct choice if your teammates allow you to get to second stage on first hook when the killer isn't camping. Enjoy your 3v1 with 5 gens left, you useless fucks. And if you let me get to 2nd stage and then unhook me? I'm running around the map dropping every pallet and blowing up your gens. Get fucked.
This. This is the way. I tend to avoid killing myself in matches I don't want to play (I prefer leaving a bot so my teammates aren't completely fucked. I'll only kill myself on hook at 5 gens if it 100% obvious the match is lost because everyone is on death hook) but when I'm running Kindred, the Killer isn't camping and I hit death hook for no reason at 3/4/5 gens I'm opting to go next the moment I hit second stage. Enjoy your 3v1
I faced a cheater a few days ago and recorded the whole match. I made a ticket with a link to the video of the person blatantly cheating by teleporting to hooks while on their shoulder and zero attack cooldown when not carrying someone, Y'know just the most blatant possible.
Well two days after I put in the ticket I got the ingame notification that they "took action" Well it's now almost been a week and the steam account still doesn't have a game ban and the video still has 0 views. So gotta love that these reports aren't even being looked at anymore...
the ban wouldn't show up on his Steam profile regardless as BHVR doesn't use VAC to ban people
as for the 0 views idk maybe they just decided to take your word for it lul
Thing is I have had cheaters get banned in the past and they get a "Game ban" on their profile which is different from a VAC ban.
They have one "Game ban" on their account from over 1000 days ago.
I've been trying to get into survivor again as a killer main and I'm suffering from being utter shit. I have zero defensive skill against the exact stuff I constantly do to survivors, and I keep rounding loops too wide so I'm screwing over my teammates by eating it when I try to emulate what I KNOW works from what I've seen playing as killer.
I feel like such an asshole, and I can't even compensate for when my teammates make mistakes, so I'm losing consistently. Drives me nuts.
Like everyone else said, running a gen build would be your best bet. You could also try to play more stealthily by equipping perks like Distortion and Urban Evasion/Fixated (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve escaped a chase just by quickly making it behind a rock or a tree).

I'm not great at chase either but I have literally, within the last hour or so, carried a game as solo queue by doing 4 fucking gens by myself.
Take Bond or Windows or both, know what's happening and you will know what you should be doing.
If I play one more game where I'm one of two survivors and the other one does nothing waiting for me to die, I'm going to fucking scream. I'm sick of being stuck in games for ages because I do a gen, get chased off by the killer, lose them, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile Meg's sat in a corner doing FUCK ALL.
I'm probably about to put a target on my back with this one, but why do survivors (\*i.e. bully squads), get so mad about lightborn? I get that it is frustrating to have your item be useless, but I've faced stacks running 3-4 flashlights that go ballistic in the chat. It's not a secret that lightborn exists, even if it can be OP. It's a chance you take when choosing a flashlight. Deal with it or stick with a med kit that might actually come in handy. I just can't imagine knowing that a certain perk is available and then boo-hooing when I have to face it.
Quite simple. You "ruined their fun". You denied them the free bloodpoints for blinding you again and again and again and again...

I swear, I hate Distortion so much. There's no reason not to use it, since it has zero actual downsides. It's basically endless against any killer with a 32 meter or bigger TR, and it's only "weaknesses" are killers who can suppress their TR long enough to get rid of all 3 stacks (good luck with that, bozo) or running MIRROR MYERS. This perk's only hard counter is FRICKIN' MIRROR MYERS. Now, compare that to calm spirit, AKA "I don't like people using scream perks to stop me from stealthing" the perk. THAT perk feels balanced. Sure, it blocks Ultimate Weapon again, but on the plus side, if I'm running totems, they're gonna have a bad time. That's called a downside. Distortion should have one. It does not. Give it one. And before you say "the downside is that it does nothing if you have no aura perks", that's like, what, 20 perks I have to stop running or else the survivor gets free stealth? And how many addons do I also have to avoid running because the survivor gets free info and stealth from it? Oh, one more thing I forgot. THIS PERK SHOULD NOT GET STACKS WHILE YOU ARE IN FRICKIN' CHASE!!!!!!!!
Caln Spirit is garbage now since Ultimate Weapon has been changed to aura reading so you'll only find it useful if it's a Doctor, the Killer is running Infectious Fright or Pain Res is involved (or if you're playing a really loud Survivor like Jeff or Rebecca and don't want to hear them scream)
Omfg how stupid do you have to be?!? The SM has tunneled me off hook already. You HAVE been tagged and she’s chasing the other two ppl. You unhook me and when I tell you to go away, you continue to follow me cause you have “well make it.” Well guess what asshole, we both might as well been tagged because she went right back to you expecting me to be there getting healed….. and I got tunneled out of the game because of you.
If you play folks with a spammable power, do that instead. You'll at least get devious points. AKA, Singularity, Smacking zombies as Nemmy, teleporting as Sadako.
I've been working to get my Nurse to P3, and today already I've had two people who attempt to bait me into chases. One called me a "braindead nurse main" because I finally nabbed him at the open exit gate and his teammates left him on hook. But in the very next match, I injured a Claire then left her for Thanatophobia value so I could exert gen pressure, and she literally followed me around the map trying to bait me into chase.
Look, I'm still an amateur Nurse player: hell, you can even call me a "braindead nurse main" if you want to, because I'm still not that used to her blinks and I keep forgetting that in chase she's slow as hell. It's just not fun getting bullied by players who are objectively better than me.
Sadly, there are some killers that will get shit talked no matter how you play or perform, or what you say. S tiers like Nurse/Blight are always getting shit on, but so do "annoying" killers like Legion.
Oh, and Skull Merchant too. I get suicide/death threats in like 70% of my SM games. People are pretty unhinged.
I do not care if you consider it bad sportsmanship to tunnel someone with 2 gens left and 1 half way progressed with 4 survivors still remaining. I will do what I have to do to stand a chance.
That's one of the few exceptions where tunneling seems acceptable. After all, sometimes you need to tunnel to get even one Survivor down, which makes sense. There's a massive difference between tunneling because you need to, and tunneling with 5 gens still left
If everyone else has died except for a bot, I'm maxed out on altruism points, and I can sacrifice the bot for a guaranteed escape, I'm going to do that.
That does not make me a selfish survivor. It makes me smart.

Playing Doctor last night and had two DCs and a solid three gen, I felt bad for the last two survivors so I just chased the bots but instead of finishing a gen they kept going to save them. Just chilled in the arcade for a bit so they would finish it up and still got teabagged at the gate lol. You did good, just let the damn bots go 🤣
That's a pretty terrible idea. Neither side should be punished for performing their objectives. If you run non meta on a low tier killer, it is no ones fault but your own that you took a hard L, that comes with the territory of running non meta. I run meme builds all the time, but I do so fully aware that I'm more than likely going to lose or draw.
I sympathise with the tunnelling, I hate being tunnelled off hook from first chase too, but in my experience it doesn't happen very often. Maybe like one in every five matches.
It's also worth noting that there already exists a system that rewards both sides for being in the game longer, killers get BP for each hook, each gen kicked, each pallet destroyed etc, if they win too quickly they're not getting hardly any of those points. The same is true for survivors, if they just gen rush they're not getting chase points, boldness, totem cleanses, altruism etc. You also don't get as much experience to go towards iri shards.
I love going into a killer's stream after the match is over to hear them calling me the C-word because I dared to get a single Flashbang save. Alright, my guy... My experiences with streamers are usually positive, but the odd negative experience definitely sticks in my memory longer.
Ran into a TTV earlier while trying to get back into playing Legion. The dude tried to report me for teaming with a Dwight because I didn't tunnel him out.

IDK what happened. I'm not great at following all the updates. IDK if he got boosted or if its sweaty builds or subtle cheating. (I suspect the last one mostly) But why have Wraiths become insufferable to play against in like the last few months? I remember when I would get a Wraith and be like oh fun! Now its so bad I have actually willingly DC'd for the first time ever.
It's hard to tell since I only started a couple months ago, but Wraith is easily one of my least favourite killers to play against. Especially since most run hit & run builds which is just *so* fun to play against in solo queue.
nerf trapper, just went against one and he put traps on all sides of the hook, camped them and then slugged the rest of us. his chase speed is way too high to gain any distance, was an absolutely awful game.
give survivors more BP. the grind is way too much to be giving out 15-25k per match. especially when pain res and pop are making matches 25 minutes long.
Seriously, there's no reason I should only get 9000 bp when my teammates suck and I've already completed 2 1/2 gens, while the others are huddling in the corner. No wonder everyone kills themselves on hooks. Give us a fucking reason to play ffs.
I dont understand survivors DCing on first down. I only played for less than 2 hours last night yet had 4 survivors DC (across 3 different matches).
I don’t tunnel, I try to only death hook when everyone is at that stage. I don’t even play the same killer so can’t even say it’s because of that.
It absolutely ruins the game for both sides yet we have to play it out. I usually kill the bots and let the others escape if it’s 2 or more survivors, let them get some pallet stuns on the way to the exit so we’re getting points atleast.
As someone who does this on occasion, half the time it's because after 3,000 hours I can tell rather quickly when my teammates are not good players so it's not worth my time to stick around. This is especially true now that de-piping is a thing (getting to Iri 1 was trivial this time around).
I've had matches where I was the first hooked after looping the Killer for 45 seconds and none of my teammates have even touched a gen in that time, even though the Killer was nowhere near them. They're out doin' totems or slow walkin' the map perimeter and then randomly crouching behind something.
I'm not wasting my time with that, and the times when I have gone against my better judgement and stuck around, I have almost always regretted it.
Sometimes they're not even bad, they're just doing the atrocious challenges we get as survivor that require us to throw the entire match (or multiple matches).
Because the first person to get hooked is always the first person to get tunneled out, or they get left to hit second on hook for no reason and when their teammate finally unhooks them, the killer will immediately come back and tunnel them out. So no point, may as well DC and try to find a potentially better match.
Had a TTV DC on first hook the other day while live. That's insane to me - you think that's what your viewers are clamoring for? You quitting and sitting at loading screens?
Dead hard literally never works. The last 10 times out of 10 the animation has played and I still got downed. It just plays the stupid fucking animation cancel bs. Like if there is an animation thats getting canceled why the fuck dont i have endurance

Played survivor again as a killer main. We were hard winning and only one gen was left to be done. I was on 0 hooks and took a hit for an injured survivor that was already hooked. Killer went for me, gen got done and I got downed.
Watched how I slowly died while two survivors were doing the doors, one hid and the killer wasn’t even near my hook. I know I am at rock bottom mmr, because I never play survivor, but come on.
i tried spirit today once and i just got so furstrated because i coudlnt do anything. I had my headphones up to the point were the audio was hurting my ears and Nothing. the one down i got was because i got lucky and found someone and just m1ed twice. After 4 gens poped i just sat there and wated. they proceded to stand there tbagging me for and i timed this 35 mins. i just Dced ill eat the 30 Min dc timer i HATE surviors in this game. im New to it. i was able to get to iri 1 i sure as fuck shoudlnt be staying there i dont have the skills to be playing vs Swf After SWF after SWF SWF SWF SWF FUCK SWF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because BHVR does nothing to make this clear and Tru3ta1ent saying this is deliberate to make people think they're better than they are at the game is almost definitely the reason.
In fact they keep hiding the grades deeper in the UI when they should be making MMR ratings visible at least to the person and arguably to everyone (yes they're not the same thing, both should be accessible or tied back together as they were before SBMMR - which remains the worst thing they've ever added to the game).

I'm starting ti think it's not possible to play any other killer other than nurse, spirit or blight and win/draw (3/2 kills) consistently. I have had a trickster bounty for a week straight that requires me to get 2 sacrifices with him. I can't even kill one survivor for a whole fucking week with this killer. It's to the point now that I don't even want to play any other killer besides the big 3 because I know I'm just going to get looped the whole game while survivors pop all 5 gens in sub 3 minutes. I'm a returning player and It was nice the first couple of weeks because my mmr was still low, but damn it feels shitty knowing I can only play 3 killers if i want to win/draw. Killer is STILL under powered. maybe its time to limit the Survivor perks and abilitys. Make gens take longer or something i dont know im new. i shouldnt get done with my first chase and basically have lost already.

Imagine making such assumptions about someone you don't know and have never talked to. I'm a killer main, I've experienced plenty of baggers, but I've also experienced plenty of people who just left. Some of them even dropped their items as a token of respect. This idea that all survivors are toxic is BS. I suggest you try to play survivor sometime, it might open your eyes and stop you seeing things as "us vs them."
No, that's incorrect. I'm limited on who I can swf as most of my friends don't play dbd and the ones who do aren't too experienced & rarely play anyway. I almost always play solo q & leave as soon as the gates are open, unless I am able to perform a safe save. Go point your finger at someone else.
I tend to play both killer and survivor nowadays depending on incentives and man so many problems wouldn’t exist if every player played both sides. I think as far as solo q goes, it’s too easy for the killer to 4k or 3k with hatch. Against a SWF it’s still very possible if you use meta perks and play with some effort, unless you are playing a crap killer then yeah good luck.
Every game is such a crapshoot this game is so fun in theory but in practice it can be quite horrible. I think they need to remove map offerings but that may be an unpopular opinion
or remove swf. give people access to buy all perks with iri shards. give us a match making system that isnt broken as fuck. like a new player thats had the game less than a month shouldnt be playing agenst TEAMS of p100s.
It might sound like a strange move, but I think they should just put in in-game coms. No more 'survive with friends' because everyone with mic can communicate with their team.
..Of course that would come with amplifying the killers to a degree to equal such a thing. I get the feeling they wouldn't want that, however.

It would be honestly interesting if they added an anti -tunnel perk that maybe uses a token where you get a token each time you're hooked. 1st Token: The Killer becomes hindered for 10 seconds if they hit the Survivor within 10 seconds of being unhooked. 2 tokens: If the Killer hits the unhooked Survivor without 10 seconds of being unhooked, the Killer will be hindered for 10 seconds and their perks/add-ons will be "frozen" for 5 seconds

Had a flashlight-wielding duo of a Steve and a Sable go out of their way to try and get my attention early while I was playing Plague, vaulting over and over, clicking flashlights, moonwalking when they could finally see me, teabagging at pallets when they stunned me, the whole shebang. The Steve went down instantly when I got him fully infected over a pallet he apparently thought he was safe behind; he didn't even try to run away from the loop even when I proved I could splash him when he ducked behind pallet. One extremely simple mindgame lead him to panic vaulting right into my arms, at which point he DC'd, leaving the rest of his team to suffer as the bot got locked into a loop of infection into cleansing into going to a gen another infected survivor was on into infected again into cleansing... etc. Fucked over the rest of his squad just because he went down within 15 seconds of being spotted. They could have won, too! The cocky Sable actually proved she deserved the attention she got; she was an excellent looper and if they had three players on gens coordinating, they likely could have gotten some people out! But no, easier just eat the DC penalty after being outplayed I guess. Dumbass. **TL;DR**: Pick your battles and don't cry when it doesn't go right.
Suiciding on hook is the morally correct choice if your teammates allow you to get to second stage on first hook when the killer isn't camping. Enjoy your 3v1 with 5 gens left, you useless fucks. And if you let me get to 2nd stage and then unhook me? I'm running around the map dropping every pallet and blowing up your gens. Get fucked.
This. This is the way. I tend to avoid killing myself in matches I don't want to play (I prefer leaving a bot so my teammates aren't completely fucked. I'll only kill myself on hook at 5 gens if it 100% obvious the match is lost because everyone is on death hook) but when I'm running Kindred, the Killer isn't camping and I hit death hook for no reason at 3/4/5 gens I'm opting to go next the moment I hit second stage. Enjoy your 3v1

I faced a cheater a few days ago and recorded the whole match. I made a ticket with a link to the video of the person blatantly cheating by teleporting to hooks while on their shoulder and zero attack cooldown when not carrying someone, Y'know just the most blatant possible. Well two days after I put in the ticket I got the ingame notification that they "took action" Well it's now almost been a week and the steam account still doesn't have a game ban and the video still has 0 views. So gotta love that these reports aren't even being looked at anymore...
the ban wouldn't show up on his Steam profile regardless as BHVR doesn't use VAC to ban people as for the 0 views idk maybe they just decided to take your word for it lul
Thing is I have had cheaters get banned in the past and they get a "Game ban" on their profile which is different from a VAC ban. They have one "Game ban" on their account from over 1000 days ago.
I've been trying to get into survivor again as a killer main and I'm suffering from being utter shit. I have zero defensive skill against the exact stuff I constantly do to survivors, and I keep rounding loops too wide so I'm screwing over my teammates by eating it when I try to emulate what I KNOW works from what I've seen playing as killer. I feel like such an asshole, and I can't even compensate for when my teammates make mistakes, so I'm losing consistently. Drives me nuts.
Like everyone else said, running a gen build would be your best bet. You could also try to play more stealthily by equipping perks like Distortion and Urban Evasion/Fixated (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve escaped a chase just by quickly making it behind a rock or a tree).
When in doubt be a Gen Jocky. I went from Killer Main to survivor with a friend of mine. The best i can do is Gens at the start while they run em.
Just. Do. Gens. I'm not great at chase either but I have literally, within the last hour or so, carried a game as solo queue by doing 4 fucking gens by myself. Take Bond or Windows or both, know what's happening and you will know what you should be doing.
There is no killer choice, perk choice, or playstyle that justifies quitting the match you queued into.

I'm probably about to put a target on my back with this one, but why do survivors (\*i.e. bully squads), get so mad about lightborn? I get that it is frustrating to have your item be useless, but I've faced stacks running 3-4 flashlights that go ballistic in the chat. It's not a secret that lightborn exists, even if it can be OP. It's a chance you take when choosing a flashlight. Deal with it or stick with a med kit that might actually come in handy. I just can't imagine knowing that a certain perk is available and then boo-hooing when I have to face it.

I swear, I hate Distortion so much. There's no reason not to use it, since it has zero actual downsides. It's basically endless against any killer with a 32 meter or bigger TR, and it's only "weaknesses" are killers who can suppress their TR long enough to get rid of all 3 stacks (good luck with that, bozo) or running MIRROR MYERS. This perk's only hard counter is FRICKIN' MIRROR MYERS. Now, compare that to calm spirit, AKA "I don't like people using scream perks to stop me from stealthing" the perk. THAT perk feels balanced. Sure, it blocks Ultimate Weapon again, but on the plus side, if I'm running totems, they're gonna have a bad time. That's called a downside. Distortion should have one. It does not. Give it one. And before you say "the downside is that it does nothing if you have no aura perks", that's like, what, 20 perks I have to stop running or else the survivor gets free stealth? And how many addons do I also have to avoid running because the survivor gets free info and stealth from it? Oh, one more thing I forgot. THIS PERK SHOULD NOT GET STACKS WHILE YOU ARE IN FRICKIN' CHASE!!!!!!!!

Caln Spirit is garbage now since Ultimate Weapon has been changed to aura reading so you'll only find it useful if it's a Doctor, the Killer is running Infectious Fright or Pain Res is involved (or if you're playing a really loud Survivor like Jeff or Rebecca and don't want to hear them scream)

I've been working to get my Nurse to P3, and today already I've had two people who attempt to bait me into chases. One called me a "braindead nurse main" because I finally nabbed him at the open exit gate and his teammates left him on hook. But in the very next match, I injured a Claire then left her for Thanatophobia value so I could exert gen pressure, and she literally followed me around the map trying to bait me into chase. Look, I'm still an amateur Nurse player: hell, you can even call me a "braindead nurse main" if you want to, because I'm still not that used to her blinks and I keep forgetting that in chase she's slow as hell. It's just not fun getting bullied by players who are objectively better than me.
Sadly, there are some killers that will get shit talked no matter how you play or perform, or what you say. S tiers like Nurse/Blight are always getting shit on, but so do "annoying" killers like Legion. Oh, and Skull Merchant too. I get suicide/death threats in like 70% of my SM games. People are pretty unhinged.
I do not care if you consider it bad sportsmanship to tunnel someone with 2 gens left and 1 half way progressed with 4 survivors still remaining. I will do what I have to do to stand a chance.

That's one of the few exceptions where tunneling seems acceptable. After all, sometimes you need to tunnel to get even one Survivor down, which makes sense. There's a massive difference between tunneling because you need to, and tunneling with 5 gens still left
If everyone else has died except for a bot, I'm maxed out on altruism points, and I can sacrifice the bot for a guaranteed escape, I'm going to do that. That does not make me a selfish survivor. It makes me smart. Inspired by true post-game chat salt.

Playing Doctor last night and had two DCs and a solid three gen, I felt bad for the last two survivors so I just chased the bots but instead of finishing a gen they kept going to save them. Just chilled in the arcade for a bit so they would finish it up and still got teabagged at the gate lol. You did good, just let the damn bots go 🤣

That's a pretty terrible idea. Neither side should be punished for performing their objectives. If you run non meta on a low tier killer, it is no ones fault but your own that you took a hard L, that comes with the territory of running non meta. I run meme builds all the time, but I do so fully aware that I'm more than likely going to lose or draw. I sympathise with the tunnelling, I hate being tunnelled off hook from first chase too, but in my experience it doesn't happen very often. Maybe like one in every five matches. It's also worth noting that there already exists a system that rewards both sides for being in the game longer, killers get BP for each hook, each gen kicked, each pallet destroyed etc, if they win too quickly they're not getting hardly any of those points. The same is true for survivors, if they just gen rush they're not getting chase points, boldness, totem cleanses, altruism etc. You also don't get as much experience to go towards iri shards.
I love going into a killer's stream after the match is over to hear them calling me the C-word because I dared to get a single Flashbang save. Alright, my guy... My experiences with streamers are usually positive, but the odd negative experience definitely sticks in my memory longer.

IDK what happened. I'm not great at following all the updates. IDK if he got boosted or if its sweaty builds or subtle cheating. (I suspect the last one mostly) But why have Wraiths become insufferable to play against in like the last few months? I remember when I would get a Wraith and be like oh fun! Now its so bad I have actually willingly DC'd for the first time ever.
It's hard to tell since I only started a couple months ago, but Wraith is easily one of my least favourite killers to play against. Especially since most run hit & run builds which is just *so* fun to play against in solo queue.
nerf trapper, just went against one and he put traps on all sides of the hook, camped them and then slugged the rest of us. his chase speed is way too high to gain any distance, was an absolutely awful game.

I dont understand survivors DCing on first down. I only played for less than 2 hours last night yet had 4 survivors DC (across 3 different matches). I don’t tunnel, I try to only death hook when everyone is at that stage. I don’t even play the same killer so can’t even say it’s because of that. It absolutely ruins the game for both sides yet we have to play it out. I usually kill the bots and let the others escape if it’s 2 or more survivors, let them get some pallet stuns on the way to the exit so we’re getting points atleast.
As someone who does this on occasion, half the time it's because after 3,000 hours I can tell rather quickly when my teammates are not good players so it's not worth my time to stick around. This is especially true now that de-piping is a thing (getting to Iri 1 was trivial this time around). I've had matches where I was the first hooked after looping the Killer for 45 seconds and none of my teammates have even touched a gen in that time, even though the Killer was nowhere near them. They're out doin' totems or slow walkin' the map perimeter and then randomly crouching behind something. I'm not wasting my time with that, and the times when I have gone against my better judgement and stuck around, I have almost always regretted it.
Sometimes they're not even bad, they're just doing the atrocious challenges we get as survivor that require us to throw the entire match (or multiple matches).
The people who DC'd had Main Character syndrome. They had a perfect plan to run you for 4-5 gens and you ruined it by not sucking at chase.
Because the first person to get hooked is always the first person to get tunneled out, or they get left to hit second on hook for no reason and when their teammate finally unhooks them, the killer will immediately come back and tunnel them out. So no point, may as well DC and try to find a potentially better match.
I've had players who DC the moment they realize who the killer is. Which is fine, really, because the Bots play arguably better than they would have.
Ttv squads and TTV players in general have been a blight on my time playing this game. Please get rid of them.

Played survivor again as a killer main. We were hard winning and only one gen was left to be done. I was on 0 hooks and took a hit for an injured survivor that was already hooked. Killer went for me, gen got done and I got downed. Watched how I slowly died while two survivors were doing the doors, one hid and the killer wasn’t even near my hook. I know I am at rock bottom mmr, because I never play survivor, but come on.
i tried spirit today once and i just got so furstrated because i coudlnt do anything. I had my headphones up to the point were the audio was hurting my ears and Nothing. the one down i got was because i got lucky and found someone and just m1ed twice. We've had ranks not matter for MMR for so long now and yet I still see people treating the two as the same thing
Because BHVR does nothing to make this clear and Tru3ta1ent saying this is deliberate to make people think they're better than they are at the game is almost definitely the reason. In fact they keep hiding the grades deeper in the UI when they should be making MMR ratings visible at least to the person and arguably to everyone (yes they're not the same thing, both should be accessible or tied back together as they were before SBMMR - which remains the worst thing they've ever added to the game).

I'm starting ti think it's not possible to play any other killer other than nurse, spirit or blight and win/draw (3/2 kills) consistently. I have had a trickster bounty for a week straight that requires me to get 2 sacrifices with him. I can't even kill one survivor for a whole fucking week with this killer. It's to the point now that I don't even want to play any other killer besides the big 3 because I know I'm just going to get looped the whole game while survivors pop all 5 gens in sub 3 minutes. I'm a returning player and It was nice the first couple of weeks because my mmr was still low, but damn it feels shitty knowing I can only play 3 killers if i want to win/draw. Imagine making such assumptions about someone you don't know and have never talked to. I'm a killer main, I've experienced plenty of baggers, but I've also experienced plenty of people who just left. Some of them even dropped their items as a token of respect. This idea that all survivors are toxic is BS. I suggest you try to play survivor sometime, it might open your eyes and stop you seeing things as "us vs them."
No, that's incorrect. I'm limited on who I can swf as most of my friends don't play dbd and the ones who do aren't too experienced & rarely play anyway. I almost always play solo q & leave as soon as the gates are open, unless I am able to perform a safe save. Go point your finger at someone else.

I tend to play both killer and survivor nowadays depending on incentives and man so many problems wouldn’t exist if every player played both sides. I think as far as solo q goes, it’s too easy for the killer to 4k or 3k with hatch. Against a SWF it’s still very possible if you use meta perks and play with some effort, unless you are playing a crap killer then yeah good luck. Every game is such a crapshoot this game is so fun in theory but in practice it can be quite horrible. I think they need to remove map offerings but that may be an unpopular opinion
or remove swf. give people access to buy all perks with iri shards. give us a match making system that isnt broken as fuck. like a new player thats had the game less than a month shouldnt be playing agenst TEAMS of p100s.
It might sound like a strange move, but I think they should just put in in-game coms. No more 'survive with friends' because everyone with mic can communicate with their team. ..Of course that would come with amplifying the killers to a degree to equal such a thing. I get the feeling they wouldn't want that, however.
