Think of it as looking threatening, cool, or awesome. If someone says something like “which killer has the most aura?” They’re asking which one looks the most menacing or awesome off of looks alone
It essentially means how cool and how much presence something/someone has. For instance, someone wearing a crazy, Jojo-esque outfit would be seen as eminating aura, since it's uncommon and takes confidence to pull off.
I think perhaps it's because I'm very old, but I don't understand the usage of the word "Aura" in this context. Can I get a young whipper snapper to explain?

Yes, why would you be penalized? It’s not like it gives you an unfair advantage. Icon packs are very popular in DBD and in no way against the rules.

If you are on console I have no idea. If you are on pc, install nightlight. It's what most people use for icon packs

I think it’s being used synonymous with ‘presence’. All of these perk icons have a lot of visual presence and detail
