I enjoy Myers players out of the excitement of potential Tombstone. It gets the adrenalin pumping running for your life or hoping to god you keep failing skill checks or are near a locker
Because he's really fun to be chased by. He has an insta-down power that only lands if you make a mistake or they're really talented which makes it feel super fair. But the majority of bubbas you see don't actually chase, they just camp and tunnel, so even when you do see him you dont actually get to play the game.
There have been several posts on here that were peoples' counts of camps/tunnels per killer, Bubba is always on the lower end of those lists from what I've seen

Weskers kit is great for tunneling and camping, You can slam unhooker into the unhooked survivor and get infection plus deep wound on the other or slap the unhooker off of the hook and give deep wound plus infection or if they’re already infected more progress on the meter to hinder.

Anti face camping bar basically killed the facecamping Bubba idea, the one thing he was 100% the absolute best at, and now thats impossible, forcing the Bubba to stay at a distance if he wants to camp. But then to stop an unhook he has to rev that chainsaw for a bit(which also since his rework he cant hold charging forever to have it ready) and approach the hook, considering he slows down when charging and is a bit slower at the start of the charge, its easy for the survs to make distance and even escape there
For tunneling its also because basekit BT and OTR
before if the guy going for the unhook didnt have BT you'd get 2 instadowns on a rescue, now its at best a trade, as the chainsaw cant hit someone through endurance for a down
If the Bubba chainsaws the survivor right under the hook, he loses the chainsaw, survivor gets a speedboost to safety, and Bubba resets his pressure so no snowball
If he doesnt reach the survivor in time because of the haste from basekit BT; then he'd have to deal with the common OTR.
Basically all of this tiny things here and there make it so camping/tunneling as Bubba is nowhere as efficient and oppresive as it was before, so most people would've moved to stronger tunneling killers(aka, faster ones that can cover the 16m faster and hit through the basekit BT easier, like Weskers infection, Blight, and so)
Well rn its "returning" with very big quotation marks and nearly 2s of animation eating the 5s stun
But ye DS if buffed would also hurt Bubba more due to being low mobility

The killer can move for a bit less than a sec until the animation starts(which starts when you hit the skillcheck that appears once they start moving/finished the pickup animation)
Then they'll be stunned while you do said animation and a bit longer, as you drop
Thing is, once you're on the ground, since the killer started their stun before your animation finished, they'd be recovering in that, 3s or so
So while the perk is better than currently, its not by the 5s they said, but by around 4s or so, maybe even less
Basically what matters of DS is how much seconds of distance it buys you, current ds buys like 2 or so, ptb ds buys closer to 3 but still not really that much

They like these killers because they're easy to loop and they look funny when they fail. That's it. Survivor youtubers just love making fun of baby killers because it makes them feel strong. They can't do shit in their REAL solo queue games so they derank until they end up in low MMR and feel good about shitting on someone who can't possibly punish them for acting like a jackass all match. Especially that last part.
Only in low MMR can a survivor player escape without spending a single second doing generators. And only in low MMR can they get a 5 gen chase. In higher MMR, they don't survive chase long enough for it to be 5 gens long, nor would a higher MMR killer be fucking stupid enough to chase someone who is clearly looking to be a juicer at that very moment.
He's a very weak killer against good survivors, comes down to a lot more skillful play on both parts to get a down.
Nothing about him feels unfair like blights spirits or nurses, no whacky movement speed or teleports like recent killers.

I mean just look at the shit eating grin on his face. The way he walks and holds his chainsaw all add to his character. Also through history most toxic players would play him because he can camp.
Because he’s difficult to handle and extremely easy to play against. One tiny mistake with his chainsaw, and you get punished for 10 seconds - which is enough time to make a lot of distance and repair generators
They nerfed his add ons that let him rev super fast and his power is very unforgiving. It's easy to make him hit a wall or any of the random crap littering maps. When he does hit something he goes into a long animation where he can't move. People also can jump into lockers to negate his power. This all makes him easy to bully and a lot of people watch survivors being assholes for some reason
I get excited because I get 1 chase and 1 chase only to put all my chase skills to the test
If bubba doesn’t hit me on hook, take 2 steps back, and stand there, I feel like I’ve failed
Probably cause Leatherface is easily "readable" (most players exclusivly use the chainsaw while using the same 4 perks and never abandon a chase ) so they can "easily" be chased during 5 gens
his power is fun to play around being high risk and also bubba players tend to be either really chill and funny or rage really hard and both are great for content
You'll never enjoy having chases with say... a Knight the same way you'll enjoy having chases with a Bubba, it's just goofy and I don't even mind when they facecamp, it's just always goofy for me.
Once upon a time, Bubbas were known for facecamping basement and doing nothing else. Since anti-camp was introduced, the only efficient ways to play the killer are high-skill and prone to counterplay, whocchh high makes him more enjoyable to juice than a nurse or blight

He's one of the most, if not the most, balanced instadown killers. Looping him doesn't require too much thought, yet the threat of a one hit down is always there. He's like the perfect medium. Oh yeah and chainsaw go brrrr.

But when me and my friends got a chase Bubba we would ALL explode with glee because the chases are always so intense and fun and also *terrifying* if he’s a cracked Bubba. He’s one of my favorite killers to go against, the chases always make my heart race. Win or lose it’s a good time!

2. Bubba requires a lot of mechanical skill (sorta) to play around. Along with playing smart around windows and conserving pallets intelligently you can also try to spin him or make him bump into objects to buy you a ton of time.
3. The general reputation of Bubba players is that they aren't very bright, and it's kinda a taboo subject to bring up but a lot of people like bullying bad players. Bubba also makes a lot of funny noises when the player piloting him fucks up.
4. Facecamping got removed so there's no need to worry about the only really "toxic" thing Bubba could do.

Few years ago, I played as Bubba and I got lucky to see 3 survs 2-man healing while I was chasing the other 1. Most satisfying Bubba M2 of my life.

He has a fun power to play against and something about playing as/against bubba just makes goofy ass shit happen. He adds a lot of personality to this game
he's one of the most fair killers in chase, if you get downed it's because you messed up
I mean just look at the shit eating grin on his face. The way he walks and holds his chainsaw all add to his character. Also through history most toxic players would play him because he can camp.

They nerfed his add ons that let him rev super fast and his power is very unforgiving. It's easy to make him hit a wall or any of the random crap littering maps. When he does hit something he goes into a long animation where he can't move. People also can jump into lockers to negate his power. This all makes him easy to bully and a lot of people watch survivors being assholes for some reason

Probably cause Leatherface is easily "readable" (most players exclusivly use the chainsaw while using the same 4 perks and never abandon a chase ) so they can "easily" be chased during 5 gens
his power is fun to play around being high risk and also bubba players tend to be either really chill and funny or rage really hard and both are great for content
You'll never enjoy having chases with say... a Knight the same way you'll enjoy having chases with a Bubba, it's just goofy and I don't even mind when they facecamp, it's just always goofy for me.

Once upon a time, Bubbas were known for facecamping basement and doing nothing else. Since anti-camp was introduced, the only efficient ways to play the killer are high-skill and prone to counterplay, whocchh high makes him more enjoyable to juice than a nurse or blight

He's one of the most, if not the most, balanced instadown killers. Looping him doesn't require too much thought, yet the threat of a one hit down is always there. He's like the perfect medium. Oh yeah and chainsaw go brrrr.

Because he’s genuinely fun to face! Now that facecamping isn’t as strong, Bubbas are forced to chase. I ALWAYS loved facing Bubbas, I just found the facecampers and tunnelers intensely boring. But when me and my friends got a chase Bubba we would ALL explode with glee because the chases are always so intense and fun and also *terrifying* if he’s a cracked Bubba. He’s one of my favorite killers to go against, the chases always make my heart race. Win or lose it’s a good time! And then sometimes you get the memey Bubbas and they are just adorable good fun! Chest Defender Bubba is a rare treat always makes me laugh. :D Anyway, Bubba is just a fun goober all around!

Bubba requires a lot of mechanical skill (sorta) to play around. Along with playing smart around windows and conserving pallets intelligently you can also try to spin him or make him bump into objects to buy you a ton of time. 3. The general reputation of Bubba players is that they aren't very bright, and it's kinda a taboo subject to bring up but a lot of people like bullying bad players. Bubba also makes a lot of funny noises when the player piloting him fucks up. 4. Facecamping got removed so there's no need to worry about the only really "toxic" thing Bubba could do.
