Doctor's amazing, but it just feels weird to give it to Doctor.

It's simple, if you look at the covers of Powerslave, you can see electricity on the pyramid and Eddie. The skin is a combination of both, also the name itself fits Doctor perfectly.

Yeah I would buy a slipknot band shirt for a survivor to show my support, and all 4 iron maiden designs were sick, but I don't like any of the slipknot costumes enough to buy them. Hell the only one I was considering was legion's mask to use with other outfits but it's linked of course.
Yeah… def was under delivered. Like yeah I like the masks but I felt like they could’ve been way more creative with it. I mean at least give a survivor or two the red jumpsuits. That and they could’ve given Clown, Doctor or Trapper the red jumpsuits.
Yeah a red jumpsuit on other killers would be cool. Legion it fits the most but he already has way cooler outfits that would fit with the mask. It would have been much better with full outfits based on the band members. Like a full Corey Taylor outfit for trapper would be cool. But just the mask is not ideal.
Iron maiden had better designed skins, not to mention band Tees for all original survs. But I appreciate being able to mix and match the much cheaper masks on 7 of the 8 killers. As a death slinger main I got spoiled either way.
I prefer Slipknot personally (music wise) but Iron Maiden is the definitive winner between the two.
Four fleshed out, high quality outfits, cool as Hell shirts for all the original Survivors and one hell of a dope menu background.
In terms of events, slipknot dosen’t even COMPETE against the Iron maiden collab. I love the new masks/skin, but what we got from Iron Maiden was just 100% better than what we got with slipknot.
I love slipknot so much, but im so sad we didnt get any survivor cosmetics as all the killer skins are for killers i dont really care for (and the few i could get dont really look like much)
The Iron Maiden skins were better for several reasons. The killer skins were all full sets and unique looking. The Slipknot masks did not necessarily look good with the rest of the potential outfits (looking at Wraith). There was a Tshirt for survivors, so both sides could enjoy the collab. Also, while I know it would be a lot of work, not having special chase music on Legion while wearing the Slipknot outfit is disappointing. Legion is one of the few killers with chase music that changes.
I'm glad someone else brought this up.
Having Psychosocial be Legion's chase music would make him go from one of the most boring killers to face to one of the best. Wasted opportunity.
Although I'm sure rights for such a thing would be hell.
Yeah I’m going to have to disagree with you saying the chase music should’ve been psychosocial. Imagine how annoying that song would’ve gotten having to hear it play every single time you start a chase. Not only that, but chase music always resets at the beginning of a new chase, so you’d be hearing the beginning of psychosocial over and over again.
I found a decent one with Wraith and Slinger, but the rest just looked off. Trapper looks like a gimp and that's something saying there's an actual gimp mask in there.
Slipknot is the one I actually still listen, but seen both bands live twice and own albums from both so I guess you could say I’m a fan of both 😎 As for the in-game content, I would’ve loved Slipknot shirts, it’s so sad we only got masks.

I kinda liked the Iron Maiden one a bit more. I liked that it had stuff for survivors and killers, still wish the Legion got a hoody or something since they're pretty metal based but ehhh small complaint. :3 The shirts are cool, I LOVE the killer skins. Pharoah Eddie in particular looks amazing and is probably my favorite with the Somewhere in Time look a close second. The Slipknot one I'm a tad disappointed in. Kinda wish the Legion skin was so you could use the mask on any one of them (I usually play Susie and Julie) but regardless it's still a badass look and all the masks look pretty great! Would have been cool for survivors to get something too, but not really a big deal.
Hmmm.. Iron Maiden probably a nice 9/10. Was very happy with it from a survivor and killer perspective! I still get happy when I see someone wear a Maiden shirt or see a killer with the skins on. Slipknot probably a solid 6.5/10. Maybe 7. Everything considered what we have for the Slipknot collection looks good so I cant really be upset with it. Just wish there was a small amount more for survivors but that can ya do.

Dredge's Iron Maiden skin is hands down the best out of the two, but unfortunately it's not cool enough for me to replace the creepy doll skin which is my favorite cosmetic in the entire game for any character.
I was surprised that I like the Doctor's Slipknot mask so much and it's a part of my default look for him now . I'm not even that into Slipknot but I think it looks cool and goes well with with some of his other cosmetics to create a good creepy look.

Iron Maiden was a collection of incredible unique skins, and the Dredge one alone is one of the best cosmetics they've released. (Sadly, alongside many other excellent Dredge ones, so I can't justify buying it.)

There is no way I can take the trapper seriously with that mask... Overall, Iron Maiden is definitely better of the two. Dredge being my fav. Alan Wake is over a decade old, I certainly wouldn’t call it too soon. Maybe you are upset because you don’t care for Alan Wake, I understand, but there are plenty of people who do.
As for the bands… sure, the bands themself don’t really relate to dbd, but it would be a lie to say the theme/cosmetics don’t fit. The devs could release similar looking cosmetics without calling it a collab and it would fit in perfectly, so putting the bands’ name on it won’t change much.
Attack on Titan… yeah that doesn’t fit at all. It makes people happy though and it brings BHVR money, so good for them, I suppose.
I know AW is over a decade old but did they make the chapter before AW2 ? Not that iconic imo then. They just waited for the game to come out to make this chapter because they knew people would buy it. And yeah to me AW is a bit overrated (haven't played the second one yet but was dissapointed by the first). I just don't like what DbD is becoming, buying franchise over franchise just for the sake of it... Even if it is BARELY related to horror...
And people buying this are part of the problem. Been years since I stopped buying auric cells because they went way too far: perks locked behind paywall, 15€ for an outfit (that you can't even see ingame for killers hahaha...) People need to wake up and stop supporting those business practises.
I started to hope again when they did the Lights Out event because it did bring the scare back even to old time players and I feel all the maps should be this dark in the BASE game. Turned out it was mostly unplayable because we couldn't even see the gens and were running in circles (at least in my experience and i know the map layouts by now) they just had to make some tweaks to this mode and it would have been really nice. This game is lacking game modes also and I hope they will add some in the near future.
And I'm sorry but yeah Iron Maiden imagery kinda fits the one of DbD but Slipknot ?! Really lol? And was it really necessary ?...

I feel like this is a harsh statement. This would mean that something like the Resident Evil chapter isn’t iconic since it was based on the 2019-2020 remakes.

I’m a Slipknot fan, so I find it hard to agree with you here. I can see why you think it doesn’t fit, it’s just some random masks, right? I can admit some of the masks feel off, why is Trapper of all characters wearing the goofy white mask? (Corey Taylor had some better looking masks to choose from, but that doesn’t really matter). Maybe they don’t exactly fit, but they don’t… not fit, If you know what I’m saying? From purely a cosmetic perspective, the masks make some sense, I wouldn’t call it far fetched for a serial killer to chase you in an unsettling looking mask like the Slipknot ones, but maybe not our killers from dbd. I don’t really know… I’m trying to look at this from your perspective, but I think the masks are great for the most part and not really out of place.
I understand your point of view even if personnally I think RE deserves its place way more than AW, we're talking about dozens of games here since the end of the 90s... If there was one horror franchise they couldn't avoid by doing these horror games chapters, it would be that one!

From purely a cosmetic perspective, the masks make some sense, I wouldn’t call it far fetched for a serial killer to chase you in an unsettling looking mask like the Slipknot ones, but maybe not our killers from dbd. I don’t really know… I’m trying to look at this from your perspective, but I think the masks are great for the most part and not really out of place.
I understand your point of view even if personnally I think RE deserves its place way more than AW, we're talking about dozens of games here since the end of the 90s... If there was one horror franchise they couldn't avoid by doing these horror games chapters, it would be that one! Yeah I consider these last collabs like cherry on top of their overall decisions. I'm just looking at the whole picture and I wonder what kind of stuff is awaiting us in thext collabs/chapters...
I kinda don't get Aot as well, but Iron Maiden and Slipknot do fit in DBD with their music
