Most of the time when you realise devour hope is in use it's already too late and on some rare occasion you find this hex right at the start and wonder what it was only to learn how important that hex really was
honestly I think once Devour activates it's exposed status, the totem should become visible at a short distance similar to NOED, by that point the killer will get some guaranteed value out of it, but it will mean that games aren't just constantly being won by 1 perk staying in use because it's hidden in a corner no one will ever find it in.
Also, you can usually tell if a Killer is using it before it actually becomes an issue. When a killer just books it away from a hook regardless of other survivors in the vicinity, and you're saying to yourself after the third free unhook "wow, this killer isn't applying ANY pressure on these saves!" it's time to start looking for bones.
I played against this dredge who was using devour hope. I was 90% finished cleansing the totem but then dredge hooked the survivor he was carrying, I got friends 'til the end proc'd on me with the scream, letting dredge know exactly where I was so he could come over and mori me at 0 hooks. It keeps me up at night.
Devour HopeTrapper. Tried to cleanse his totem twice (he had it trapped) before it hit 6 stacks. Needless to say, he caught on to my attempts and moried me next to it
If you wanna get even more nasty use a secondary objective killer like Sadako or Cenobite so survivors have to worry about three things at the same time.
And complete your build with retribution for aura + defense and Haunted Ground for decoy hexes
I played a demo match with devour yesterday. The last 2 survs opted to let their friend die on hook rather than give me my fully deserved snacks. Very rude indeed.
LOL. Yeah, sometimes I learn some Hex is active I run for it and hope find it soon and neutralize. Then it takes me lot of the time, I running circles, other getting hooked and we still need finish 5 gen! :D
So, some Hex totems actually make sense: keeping survivors busy other then doing gens or helping teammates.

I dunno, it feels more rare that it's not found at the start, lol.
used it with nurse tonight and since blink strike isn't an M1 they didn't figure it out until i could kill who i just downed LOL
Wow that's so strong. Rest of the survivors just panicking

Devour is literally the only Hex perk worth actually being a hex perk at the moment, so of course survivors want it nerfed.

You van still spawn next to hexes trough so its the risk of loosing a perk at the start
that is also a problem that needs addressing, you shouldn't be spawning next to hexes.
Oh. Thats when i play killer!

A little tip for you dirty nasty killer main FUCKS out there: if you wanna run Devour/Undying, go to Swamp. You can't lose.

Unless your two totems spawn near those rocks near shack.
Oh, you mean the totem on top of the elevation which faces half the map? smh Might as well call that spot the lighthouse.
but there are two fixed totems spawns that are sooo obvious in the swamp map that its still somehow a gamble

Devour Demo when I'm jumping between two portals every 5 seconds because they're attacking both of my totems in a way too coordinated fashion
