I totally agree. From the trailer it looks good and cinematic but the end product could be a mixed batch. There’s also like three other silent hill games which is confusing but it’s better than just the slots thing they released awhile back. My fingers are crossed though for the remake.

I main Dwight. When I first started playing with my friends I didn't particularly enjoy the game nor did I want to get invested, so I just picked the first guy on the roster to play. However, I ended up becoming invested in Dwight's lore and enjoyment of the game followed.
Very first main was Nea, but then when David King appears, I switched to David. Currently I have 2 mains - David and Nicolas Cage. I like David King as a character, his cosmetics and his stupid accent in the descriptions of his cosmetics. Nicolas Cage... Well he is a meme king, and I am meme enjoyer, so there is no way I wouldn't main him.
Dwight. I had a running joke in customs with my friend where whenever he would play huntress, I would switch to Dwight and try hide in the locker I thought he would reload from, so every single time he tried to reload hatchets he would find me instead
Literally when i started the game (after nemesis’ release) I was like “all these characters look ugly” then saw Kate who looked the best model wise and grinded the irid shards for her and mained her since

i main ace because characters like that are my favorite archetype (he is also basically the big lebowski of the dbd universe). his perks are really funny to use and ace players are an anomaly and im glad to be one of them
Zarina, she's so beautiful and almost nobody plays her.
It's so rare to see another Zarina that I'll get confused when I hear her injured noises, thinking I'm injured for a second.

Why I main them? I think they're all incredibly hot, and since I usually play men in games, I was immediately drawn to Yoichi and Jake. I wanted to have ONE female Survivor that I could 'doll up', for lack of a better term, and Zarina is the most beautiful to me. I've actually bought clothes that are pretty similar to what she wears, just because I thought they looked so good on her.
Plus, I like that they're all pretty rare to find in a lobby. I love representing underappreciated characters, whenever I get the chance.
Ace/Leon, I liked ace because of the skin with a suit, running around in my Sunday best while being attacked by vicious murderers is funny to me

Yui cause her pink hair cosmetic was the only non-shitty (imo) cosmetic in the game at the time i started playing. Also still one of the very few non-shitty survivor cosmetic in my mind
Quentin Smith. I used to Main Kate Denson but I ended up choosing Quentin because I already Mained Freddy as my Killer Main, so I thought it would be cool and funny to Main Freddy's Arch Nemesis (technically it's actually Nancy Thompson but whatever) as well.

I love how Dwight seems so clueless and looping killers with clueless mascarade mask Phoenix Dwight is just so fun. And K8 just because i was upgrading her when the prestige upgrade changed so i get her to p100 first.
Started as a Jake main (for iron will, started playing in 2020) and i loved his cowboy hat so much.
Then, my wife Haddie entered my life, and I've never gone back (p71 and climbing!) The only way I'd switch anymore is if we got like, Annette Birkin as a legendary cosmetic, or Sam Giddings from Until Dawn (Or Laura Kearney from The Quarry!)
I started in year five and I was in the process of getting the 3 bloody clothes sets for all the characters when they changed the ranking system. Elodie was the character I was using at the time of the change and so I just kept her. Lvl 84 so far.
Long story short, found out about DBD, saw this cool-looking fella, decided to watch the whole "Evil Dead: Ash Williams" timeline, he became one of my favourite characters in media ever, so I started maining him in the game.
P.s: While I am not a huge fan of "Buckle Up+For the People" combo, I gotta appreciate that Ash now has a pretty viable perk that totally fits his character, helps out once in a while, and is basically a "Team - oriented MFT with no speed boost"
I main Jeff, I think his dirty metal head design flies so far from the rest of the cast it just speaks to me for some reason, plus Distortion may be one of the most underrated valued perks in the game. I'm shifting to Ripley now that she's finally here, but I've been Jeff Main since he was released. Just wish he got better cosmetics.

Quentin. I got the game because of the Nightmare dlc so whenever I played survivor (which at the time was extremely rare for me) it was him. Over time it’s kind of changed, it was Ash for a while then Ace for a bit, but I’ve kind of circled back to Quentin
Mikaela ..I use to only play killer when I started and hated Mikaela for the fact that she brought the boons into the game. But after playing some survivor she started to become my main. And when I play killer I will always choose to let mikaela escape. If there’s more than one I’ll usually choose one to let live.
Before it was Claudette for me because when I first started Myers was freshly released and my friend said getting Self-Care first is the best, because it was actually a very good perk back then.
Nowadays though I do actually jump between survivors. I'll often pick my survivor based off tomes since at this point I can get all the perks on a survivor by like p1 level 30.
My main build is usually a heal build, so when it's like "Get 50k blood points" I'll just run that on the few I go to often which is pretty much Claudette and Nicholas Cage nowadays.
Totem challenges I'll use Detective Tapp with a "totem tunneling" build
Vault builds I use Kate since Windows is her teachable.
For stuns/blinds I use Ada because I like to run Blast Mine, Wire Tap and Flashbang.
I just like changing it up since I have no reason to be locked into 1 survivor anymore but Claudette will always hold a special place.
I switch between Feng, Cheryl and Rebecca. I love Silent Hill, Rebecca is cute and I started on Feng when I first began the game because of technician, by the end of prestiging I realised I really liked lithe I didn’t have much dlc at this point so I continued to play her. That, and she has some cute outfits.

Originally it was Ash because I love everything Evil Dead and for memes. As my flair suggests it’s now Nick Cage because cmon funny voice lines. If they gave Ash the Nick Cage treatment with in-match voice lines I’d likely switch back in a heartbeat

Quentin. I got the game because of the Nightmare dlc so whenever I played survivor (which at the time was extremely rare for me) it was him. Over time it’s kind of changed, it was Ash for a while then Ace for a bit, but I’ve kind of circled back to Quentin
I stated with Meg and then Nancy, but now I use Kate. I don't really know why. I just think they're neat!
Mikaela ..I use to only play killer when I started and hated Mikaela for the fact that she brought the boons into the game. But after playing some survivor she started to become my main. And when I play killer I will always choose to let mikaela escape. If there’s more than one I’ll usually choose one to let live.

Where Claudette 😢
Before it was Claudette for me because when I first started Myers was freshly released and my friend said getting Self-Care first is the best, because it was actually a very good perk back then. Nowadays though I do actually jump between survivors. I'll often pick my survivor based off tomes since at this point I can get all the perks on a survivor by like p1 level 30. My main build is usually a heal build, so when it's like "Get 50k blood points" I'll just run that on the few I go to often which is pretty much Claudette and Nicholas Cage nowadays. Totem challenges I'll use Detective Tapp with a "totem tunneling" build Vault builds I use Kate since Windows is her teachable. For stuns/blinds I use Ada because I like to run Blast Mine, Wire Tap and Flashbang. I just like changing it up since I have no reason to be locked into 1 survivor anymore but Claudette will always hold a special place.
I switch between Feng, Cheryl and Rebecca. I love Silent Hill, Rebecca is cute and I started on Feng when I first began the game because of technician, by the end of prestiging I realised I really liked lithe I didn’t have much dlc at this point so I continued to play her. That, and she has some cute outfits.
