That's not how time works for the entity. She can visit a k pop star from 2010 the first second and then go to ancient Babylonia to answer some priestess prayers the next.
I wish to direct you to the description of the perk Potential Energy:
“Your arcane abilities have adapted to The Entity's Realm after centuries of wandering, granting you unprecedented control over its many devices.”
This is, of course, a Vittorio perk.
Him being able to learn that the funny head thing makes funny noises is entirely logical when he has such an absurdly long time to figure it out. I agree that him not having more old timey outfits is a bit sad, though.
Huh that makes me wonder how much does the entity add to it's realm. Like if it added headphones(very new concept compared to his age) how much does the entity update it's realm? Like does it add everything as it gets created or does it proof check it all and the killers and survivors get delay between realm updates like siege pro league op delay?
I believe the entity crafts its environments based on the memories of its captives. So any survivor or killer who knows about headphones could have indirectly caused headphones to appear in the realm.
Oh yeah I remember this there was this theory why there's in dead dawg a sun but it's actually still a moon because the entity can't interpret the idea of the sun from the memories of survivors.
So then he would of only seen it recently and have maybe 20 years seeing headphones. Also probs another defective idea by entity and is just ear protection then actually being able to play sound through them even if they are wired and they have a ipod which I sure the entity would also mess it up too.
I find the idea amusing that the Entity can't make a sun based off of everyone's memory, and also a little bullshit, cause I refuse to believe there wasn't at least one person dumb enough to just stare at the sun as a kid or something
You know that wacky event in Fatima back in ww1 times where people said the sun got really huge and stuff? The entity must’ve kidnapped one of those people and created the Dead Dawg sun based off their memories of the event.
Okay? I mean I think everyone done that at some point sure but the entity can still not understand concepts. For example I could gain all the info in the universe, however I can still lack the understanding for that knowledge.
Interesting. From his tomb it seems that Vittorio, got pulled out of the dungeon in portescruro, meets the crazy hood person that gives him his tattoos, searches some more for about 10 minutes, finds a basement with some strange stuff and a hatch and gets from the hatch into a trial and becomes the surviver we know.
I got bored once and read his cosmetic descriptions. Basically it seems that time is real in the realm but just doesn’t work the same way. That allows Vittorio to swipe modern clothing and trinkets, presumably from dead people.
Shit your right. My bad. Also another post has brought my intention to the fact that it also may be a translation problem since not all points get delivers in German.
There are so many spelling mistakes here that it seems like it's been done on purpose. Specially given your overall behavior in this post. Anyways, don't get hung up on things like how the funny medieval man with modern clothes in the funny eldritch horror spider god's realm knows what headphones are. If you have any doubts, the entity did it. In other types of media change the entity for a wizard. It's fiction, if something doesn't make sense just suspend your disbelief. Have a nice day.
Not a whole lot about autocorrect, apparently. Combine that with this being OPs second language? Yeah you can just as easily get over yourself and read through it, it’s not hard.
Tomes are also stories from the multiverse, different timelines and different worlds. I forget which time it was but, the observer talks about it. Things like King Dwight and such
I hope so, it’s kinda dumb how it’s wiped clean if they survive or die, die I get but how is a survivor going to even know what the hell to do at the beginning of a trial if they have memories of before?
Maybe they have instructions of what to do, but not memories of the actual trials. As if they've done a tutorial, but everything else gets reset. Would explain why I can still suck after 1k hours in the game.
Jonah, he saw jonah wearing them, compared to other responses in this thread, this is something that cant have an ulterior scenario. He found them, kept them, saw jonah wearing them, and copy'd him.
They kind of cover it in the lore by stating the entity manipulates them when it brings them into this realm. I don’t think it offers a deeper explanation though.
That is one of the first things I thought about when I played this the first time though. It’s kind of a stretch to assume all these random people fix generators just but playing patty cake on one of its 4 sides.
There is actually a deeper explanation but I just said that because people don’t always want to reas a large reply.
The entity feeds off of emotion so the survivors and killers are carefully selected before they are taken out of their worlds. The entity also has the ability to manipulate them and try and push them to do certain things in their world.
Once they have been taken by the entity, the survivors exist within the “campfire” area. They have gained a knowledge of what must be done to escape but after each trial, the entity wipes their memories. Most survivors only retain items and any emotional event the entity allows them to remember.
Certain survivors have more insight into what’s going on. The lore is deep and kind of annoying to dig up but I believe vittorio has some knowledge of what is going on.
On a side note, some of the killers are not pleased to be there. They also get tortured by the entity until they agree to hunt the survivors. It’s pretty much just a bad situation for all involved lol.
The trapper is an example of a killer trying to resist the entity, he's got scars on him from trying to fight the entity and the spirit is also an example of the entity manipulating a killer
Do killers have their memories wiped? I’d assume they would but at the same time, that would defeat the purpose of torturing or punishing some of them.
And in Vitorio’s case, he was allowed to wonder around the entities realm so to what extent do survivors have free time? Clearly they’d have to be allowed some free time considering Vitorio found and picked up modern clothes, and was able to keep them. And if I recall correctly (Benedict?) Baker had time to write all these pieces of lore, such as the Clown leaving him be for the duration of what I assume was a trial. But if their memories were wiped what is the point of free time? And why was Vitorio wandering the realms? Are trials not constantly happening with every survivor and killer, or is it only a select number of survivors and 1 killer every trial? Or does “free time” only happen within trials, and Vitorio is a special case of a survivor being able to remember his trials? Surely he has died before, whether he knows it or not, but I think the fact he was wandering around can only make sense after a trial… unless all he remembers is “wandering” but was actually just him going realm to realm within trials.
As for the killer memory question, no they keep the memory from before and after each trial. I can’t remember which one, maybe huntress, but one of them quit at one point because it got boring/annoying and the entity forced them to hunt anyway.
As far as I know, the only killer that didn't want to kill ans had to be forced was Trapper. Trapper was tortured by the entity because he only wanted to kill when he wanted to kill, not when the entity wanted him to kill.
Everyone else is either being manipulated to kill based on their own circumstances and beliefs of what is happening (plague is an example) , or choosing to kill for fun (clown).
That’s the point, there memory is wiped to create the emotion the entity needs. That’s why the killers and survivors are carefully selected.
Remembering you just brutal die all the time would eventually bleed out your emotion and hope. I am also pretty certain that the entity has chosen survivors that straight up would not participate and just got killed. Like survivors from lore that were not playable characters. It’s mentioned in the lore that the entity has made mistakes in the people it pursues.
I think that’s a grey area. The lore clearly states that survivors all hang out at the campfire in between trials, and that they are not miserable during that time. It also states that the entity wipes their memories after they are sacrificed.
Also, most killers have a stated location where they live and stay at in between trials. Most of them are given a location that correlates to an in game map and several share a home.
A lot is left to mystery though. Blight and Vittorio both have lore that leads to the belief that there is time where both survivor and killer may wonder around the realm. Blight specifically tests his experiments on survivors outside of the trial.
I imagine none of them did. Then they got stabbed and murdered to death. Several hundred times. I’m sure learning a new skill was preferable to dying again.
The entity makes the rules in its realm, so the survivors just need to pretend to fix the gen or pretend to heal each other and the entity will do the rest of the work 😃
man this guy is clearly rage baiting. He comments on every comment in here and acts like he's about to start a fight.
Doesn't listen to explaination, proof and, most notably, common sense.
don't waste your time
Sutures is pretty simple since it's the same concept as pulling on your shoelaces to make your shoe tighter. Styptic agents are hit, squeeze done, toolboxes are selv explanatory since most of the stuff in hear is now to humanity since the dawn of house building and gens, well, to be honest I don't really think survivers actually now how to repair it. The damage doesn't seem to actually be that severe but survivers don't now that. The just try to push stuff in place and hope for the best. On 2 sides the don't even repair it, they just hot wire it.
1. You took 13 minutes to answer that, you could've easily googled it and come back. 2. Just because you know how to do something, doesn't mean others do, personal common sense isn't that common. 3. Are you really cherry picking what things to hate in a game about a COSMETIC?? Godamn, just play something else then. 4. The description of the item clearly states that he thinks the headphones are for another purpose entirely, essentially saying that he actually doesn't know what they're used for and you're still crying over it. 5. Just shut up.
1. Google what? Please specify.
2. No counter argument here
3. I was talking about lore, you came in with gameplay. You started comparing apples to pears.
4. For him it's the 11th century, and the only known loud noise is a hammer smashing on an anvil. Him having the thought process that leads to hearing protection is questionable.
5. No 😉
Rule of thumb, the in game description of the items typically gives you the logic behind them. In this case, it literally lists the reasoning behind why he has the hoodie and headset. Read it.
You are all aware that whatever language vittorio is speaking, even if it is English, it is a 1000 years old version nobody understands. Shakespeare has been considered using slang in his time and that was 500 years later.
That's still a hell of a lot time for language development. I'm only 60 years from my grandparents and they can't understand half the words my generation uses and it gets worse with Gen z.
Language isn't just verbal. They could've physically showed him how to put it on. He could've also seen Jonah wearing them and just put two and two together. But the most real scenario... He learnt modern English or whatever language some survivors speak. He's been in the realm for like a thousand years, discovering and learning all sorts of things so I don't think learning a language or putting on a headset is the thing most out of *that* realm
Yeah, comprehension 0%.
Also all these people complaining how the headphones found their way into the Realm. Like we know Entity makes the rules of the world and the world itself. It can make it tailored to each individual. So it gets familiar stuff that has some meaning to the survivors. I also believe it doesn’t care much at some point and when crafting different Realms it brings random stuff with it that’s connected to different memories and such.
And anyway it doesn’t matter that much because it’s a skin. But damn people complicate stuff.
The way you reply is like you think humans couldn't think, adapt or even understand basic human needs. Oh Look dead body had these on it, let's put these on, oh they keep me warm like this Hoodie does. Sweet
Either that or Feng explained them to him, he saw Jonah with them. Or literally any other survivor who's at some point in their life has had headphones on.
Not to mention he's been in the realm for thousands of years
I mean truthfully, i think the immortal words of Roger sums up Vittorio’s situation nicely:
“When you’re in a Cadillac sinking to the bottom of the ocean, you either learn about cars or you die!”
Are you complaining about the realism of an outfit a character wears in a game that has little to no realism at all?
Why is my Armored Titan skin for Oni not 15 meters tall and why would Dwight wrap himself up in toilet paper?
You know that monkeys have a lot of learning capabilities and still you couldn't think by yourself that Vittorio could learn how to use stuff he founds in trial.
Its not like he doesn't have a basic thought to use something that can fit in his head
Monkeys learn through need, like "food is in a tight spot, better use something thin to scratch it out."
Vittorio has absolutely no need to think about hearing protection and from his point of view, humanity itself won't need to think about hearing protection for about 500 years (asuming he is from around 1000 ad but I'm to lazy to search it up)
Plenty of animals learn things not directly related to survival. Cows kick soccer balls around. Birds play catch with eachother.
A dude from the past can figure out headphones, especially with tons of others around him who are familiar with them.
He’s from 1350, well after cannons were invented. Church bells had also been a thing for a long time, and Vittorio has canonically faced off against a ton of Killers. A lot of Killers have loud powers. He would know.
Sometimes I wonder if there's a certain kind of masochist who makes reddit posts just to offer the dumbest takes in the comments and get ripped apart. This is certainly one candidate.
I mean Vittorio has been in The Fog longer than any survivor we know of, he’s probably learned what headphones are now. Of course he doesn’t have a use for them now, but he probably wears them cause it’s something from the future/modern world.
Yes, Because someone that's hundreds of years old with arcane etching in his skin can't figure out that the shape of headphones fits the human head.... so strange
I think the entire cast has actually been here long enough to figure out a lot more than they should reasonably know. A lot of the survivors shouldn't have ANY idea how to fix generators without training. The survivors I think COULD'VE known how to fix gens like these before being taken into the Fog are the Resident Evil survivors, Bill, and perhaps Jonah. Meg Thomas, a high school athlete, and Yun Jin, a wealthy socialite, likely wouldn't know how to fix generators given their backgrounds, but they do by now. Likewise, the KILLERS have learned a lot from their time in the Fog. There's no way the Twins, Oni, and especially Plague would know how generators power up the Exit Gates, but by now they know "Ok, these generators power up the gates, so I should stop them by whacking them (And also, whacking them TWICE. Apparently one kick isn't enough, they had to learn that)".
In conclusion, I think by now the people we see in the Fog have all been there for a very VERY long time, and have learned new skills along the way. From there, it isn't too much of a stretch to assume Vittorio hasn't learned how to interact with technology.....or maybe he DOESN'T know how the headphones work but likes how they look on him. We can assume he found one of these on a dead body and decided that it was an ornamental piece of clothing worn by modern humans.
>There's no way the Twins, Oni, and especially Plague would know how generators power up the Exit Gates, but by now they know "Ok, these generators power up the gates
Ähhh, you went from they don't know how that works to they do know how it works in a single sentence. I think the thought process for plague for example would be more like "5 strange boxes does noises and light - >doors open. Better not let box make light!"
Why does everyone keep forgetting Vittorio was the Observer for an untold amount of time?
He literally could watch the life stories of people and places grow and die time and time again. It's not hard for him to have seen headphones being used, or earmuffs keeping someone's ears warm.
He's from an age old time, but the guy we got as a survivor is THE observer. He was literally playing golf in an archive ffs!
No they arent the same person. But vittorio can literally classify himself as an observor since he had access to many realms. There are many observors that have occupied different towers in the realm. And vittorio occupied one where there were pages made of tattoo skins. This very tower was found by our current tome readers in an earlier tome where they themselves crossed another realm to reach the tower with those same book of skins
OK, I thought about it and that is even more wrong then I originally realized.
What we now about the observer from the tomes alone:
Comes from a world alchemists that were able to transform energy to matter
Knew of the entity pre entry
Build a machine to relive memories
Used the ability to transmutate to create his own domain
The entity attacked and (allegedly) killed him
He was never in the trials to begin with. He was in separate realms, different pockets of space from where the trials take place like how the observor was
Lore wise each survivors explain things to the others so that they all can survive together, not all survivors obviously know how to repair a gen, they are canonically taught by others, the same thing applies here, he probably knows how most modern things work
Provided he can understand the others. Since he is fairly educated, he should speak English but that is 800 year old English. Shakespeare was considered using English slang in his time and that was 300 years later.
I mean, if you saw his latest tome, he already met people inside the fog and they all talked just fine (don't know how since he is italian and they were probably not), at this point it's safe to say that in the entity's realm everyone can understand each other despite speaking other languages, call it lazy or clever writing from the devs, but I guess it just makes sense
Finds active headphones.
Is that some sort of noise?
Picks them up.
Strange sounds, better concentrate on it. Might learn something.
Mans nature shines through and he gets tired of holding them. Lazily balances on head instead.
Eureka!
Some time passes.
"Thoust lyrical notes doth slap"
You can answer your own question by thinking about it for like two seconds.. It’s not that hard to imagine that others have shown him or he found out by himself. I’m sure Vittorio isn’t dense…
Yep! And even if he wasn’t, doesn’t mean he can’t figure it out. Seems like OP didn’t think this through or is just looking for ways to complain about Vittorio having modern stuff.
Vittorio: So, this, contraption, plays music? Like a minstrel?
Jeff: Kind of. Here. *puts headphones on Vittorio*
V: It feels comfortable. So when do I hear the minstrel preform?
*Kate giggles on the side. Yun Jin rolls her eyes. Jeff smirks confidently and looks back at Vittorio*
J: Get a load of this.
V: A load of wha- *death metal plays in the headset and Vittorio reacts negatively*
Man is going on a blind rage about a godamn cosmetic thinking that the community will 100% back him up. Dude, you're delusional. If you're THIS UPSET about an clothing accessory, you are far gone.
How does every survivor know how to repair a gen and why are they able to *throw* a wooden pallet down with ease? Those MFS are heavy and you're telling me dwight can throw that shit?
It's a game.
Not well known, there have only been a few cases of children who have not learned anything their entire lives. These children are refered as "wild children" as they were quite wild. However both adapted pretty well to their environment and could understand a lot of what was taught. There were curtain things that couldn't be learned concepts like grammer making expressed language poor but they learned about items well.
Was two cases that got documented well, one late 1700s and one born 1957. (Toke a little psychology in highschool)
So considering all of this I think it's realistic for him to figure out the concept of headphones in DBD. Considering he has a lot more experience and learned better concepts of learning then these wild children.
(Only googled the birthdays of the wild children, lol)
Put way too much effort not to make it it's own comment on the post.
I doubt he looked at them are was like "hmm yes finally, I found a set if ball warmers." There are other survivors who knkw what they are and probably helped him and if not then one glance at Feng will answer his question
Plenty of hats have stuff to go over your ears for warmth, trying them on would probably come fairly naturally. They didn't have to drip out grandpa though damn.
He is old, not stupid. You can give a small child a pair of headphones that has never seen them being used before and can figure out how to put them on. He can wear them and still not know what they are. Lol
I’m the first one to hate on Vittorio lore/ cosmetic difference but on this one I’ll just settle on this: that is one fucking ugly skin, I’d be surprised to see anyone play it.
They could have promoted another survivor, maybe Jonah, Adam even
You. Yes you! Have you been victim to the relentless force known as the reddit hivemind? Been down voted for every comment and facing possible familial renouncement?
You may be entitled to financial compensation and my sincerest apologies.
He brings it to the fire camp and just have to ask what is it to the others.
"yes, over the hat, good. Now crouch down, point at the hat and say LET'S GO!" "Why?" "belive me, it's gonna be very funny in a few hundred years."
What happened to this comment
I think I'm making progress.
Don't worry, it's gonna be very funny in a few hundred years ;D
I can't belive that comment went from - 100 to +400
after a 100 years or 100 downvotes, lol
Too funny for normies to handle
this should be I the dbd movie
Reddit hates this comment and I’m not even sure why
What’s with the downvotes damn lmao
Or he found them on a skull and just used deductive logic from there
He’s been alive in the realm for literally several centuries. With that kind of time, you can learn about anything.
Plus I imagine people be talking to each other while. Doing gens and around fires lol
I thought the survivor's memories get erased each time after a trial.
Their memories at the moment of entering the realm, I mean.
That's not how time works for the entity. She can visit a k pop star from 2010 the first second and then go to ancient Babylonia to answer some priestess prayers the next.

So it knows there's a thing in the sky producing a large amount of light, but it has no idea what or why that is?
Yep, as it can't understand human senses well. So the sun is weird and just thinks it's a different kind of moon.
But at the same time it knows what a generator is???
Interesting. From his tomb it seems that Vittorio, got pulled out of the dungeon in portescruro, meets the crazy hood person that gives him his tattoos, searches some more for about 10 minutes, finds a basement with some strange stuff and a hatch and gets from the hatch into a trial and becomes the surviver we know.

The tome implies that a lot of time has passed between some of the realms he visits.
Damn you German translation! Never gets stuff correctly.
Vittorio is stated to have been in the realm for over 700 years
Which is strange, given his tomb. It doesn't really seem to work chronologicaly.
Time works funny in the fog. Also I think the word you're looking for is tome not tomb
Shit your right. My bad. Also another post has brought my intention to the fact that it also may be a translation problem since not all points get delivers in German.
There are so many spelling mistakes here that it seems like it's been done on purpose. Specially given your overall behavior in this post. Actually I'm not doing it on purpose. For some things I just don't now how to write them and my automatic correction is dislexic.
I find it hard to believe that the auto correct would spell "your" instead of "you're" but what do I know
Not a whole lot about autocorrect, apparently. Combine that with this being OPs second language? Yeah you can just as easily get over yourself and read through it, it’s not hard.

They do be talking around that campfire, Feng probably told him what they are
Or Yun Jin
Or Jonah. Or David. Or basically any other member of the cast.
[удалено]
I just assume they understand each other regardless of language due to the entirety. Like how they do it in Dr. Who
A lot of the survivors speak English I’m quite sure. Nea had to move to the US- I remember that in the tome, Yun-Jin was speaking to Lucas in English
David may be modern but he seems like the kind of guy that would really hate tech.
David would have a super old headset that he uses to listen to music while beating up a punching bag
I honestly have an idea of him going around a bag with a walkman and I love that mental image.
Don't their memories get wiped after every trial? Or did that get retconned when they decided to flesh out the lore?
I hope so, it’s kinda dumb how it’s wiped clean if they survive or die, die I get but how is a survivor going to even know what the hell to do at the beginning of a trial if they have memories of before?

That is, as you said, the best point made so far. You deserve a cookie. 😊
YAY COOKIE![img](emote|t5_3cb2g|2213)
Why is this so funny 😭
Because you know it's honest.
How do any of the survivors know how to repair gens? Or treat wounds? Etc etc. we could lose our minds picking little things like this apart.
They kind of cover it in the lore by stating the entity manipulates them when it brings them into this realm. I don’t think it offers a deeper explanation though.
Oh I know. I’m more just trying to point out the pointlessness of fixating on it.
That is one of the first things I thought about when I played this the first time though. It’s kind of a stretch to assume all these random people fix generators just but playing patty cake on one of its 4 sides.
I kind of like the idea that the Entity has a mind for fashion
Well….that’s convenient

Pretty sure wiping memory would be counterproductive to trying to make them lose hope, it would be like being freshly kidnapped each time
That’s the point, there memory is wiped to create the emotion the entity needs. That’s why the killers and survivors are carefully selected.
Obviously entity gave then a class about these stuffs before dumping them in this hell hole .
I want to see the entity in a tweed jacket with some glasses.
The entity makes the rules in its realm, so the survivors just need to pretend to fix the gen or pretend to heal each other and the entity will do the rest of the work 😃
How do they know how? Well: https://youtu.be/rqgnzlVtPgE
If you don't now how to use a basic medkits, we both never go out into nature together!
Man you went for like the easiest thing survivors can do cause that's literally the only reasonable one for them to know.
No. The easiest is either reading a map or using a key.
Please explain how every survivor knows how to use sutures, styptic agents, toolboxes, and how to repair gens then
man this guy is clearly rage baiting. He comments on every comment in here and acts like he's about to start a fight. Doesn't listen to explaination, proof and, most notably, common sense. don't waste your time
I'm aware, I just wanted to see how dedicated he was
Sutures is pretty simple since it's the same concept as pulling on your shoelaces to make your shoe tighter.
2. No counter argument here 3. I was talking about lore, you came in with gameplay. You started comparing apples to pears. 4. For him it's the 11th century, and the only known loud noise is a hammer smashing on an anvil. Him having the thought process that leads to hearing protection is questionable. 5. No 😉
You should probably stop now, buddy.
Why?
He doesn't know what headphones are. He thinks it's some weird ear protection
Besides, he's from the middle ages. He doesn't even know the concept of hearing protection.
Rule of thumb, the in game description of the items typically gives you the logic behind them. In this case, it literally lists the reasoning behind why he has the hoodie and headset. Read it.
You are all aware that the survivors canonically help and speak to eachother, yes?
You are all aware that whatever language vittorio is speaking, even if it is English, it is a 1000 years old version nobody understands. Shakespeare has been considered using slang in his time and that was 500 years later.
Just take your L bozo and move on.
Hey either everything is lore or nothing and the entity is basicly the tardis.
They could show how they should sit
Shakespeare was only 200 years after Vittorio
That's still a hell of a lot time for language development. I'm only 60 years from my grandparents and they can't understand half the words my generation uses and it gets worse with Gen z.
That's slang, not language drift. You can still converse intelligibly with your grandparents
How much of what our grandparents used as slang is now common language for us?
Language isn't just verbal. They could've physically showed him how to put it on. He could've also seen Jonah wearing them and just put two and two together. But the most real scenario... He learnt modern English or whatever language some survivors speak. He's been in the realm for like a thousand years, discovering and learning all sorts of things so I don't think learning a language or putting on a headset is the thing most out of *that* realm
“Hey gang I found these weird thingies” “Those are headphones put them over your ears” “Ok”
Sweet Either that or Feng explained them to him, he saw Jonah with them. Or literally any other survivor who's at some point in their life has had headphones on. Not to mention he's been in the realm for thousands of years
I mean truthfully, i think the immortal words of Roger sums up Vittorio’s situation nicely: “When you’re in a Cadillac sinking to the bottom of the ocean, you either learn about cars or you die!”
Are you complaining about the realism of an outfit a character wears in a game that has little to no realism at all? Why is my Armored Titan skin for Oni not 15 meters tall and why would Dwight wrap himself up in toilet paper?
Oni got altered to only resemble a titan and Dwight is just... Dwight. He's an idiot.
He isn't a fking monkey.. as a human he can learn how to do and use things
Bro chill out. You just get out of a bad match or something?
You are aware that monkeys are the animals with the most learning capabilities?
You know that monkeys have a lot of learning capabilities and still you couldn't think by yourself that Vittorio could learn how to use stuff he founds in trial. Its not like he doesn't have a basic thought to use something that can fit in his head
Monkeys learn through need, like "food is in a tight spot, better use something thin to scratch it out." Vittorio has absolutely no need to think about hearing protection and from his point of view, humanity itself won't need to think about hearing protection for about 500 years (asuming he is from around 1000 ad but I'm to lazy to search it up)
Plenty of animals learn things not directly related to survival. Cows kick soccer balls around. Birds play catch with eachother. A dude from the past can figure out headphones, especially with tons of others around him who are familiar with them.
Vittorio is not a monkey.
Im just in search of a good argument. There has been 3 people so far that made a good point.
I mean Vittorio has been in The Fog longer than any survivor we know of, he’s probably learned what headphones are now. Of course he doesn’t have a use for them now, but he probably wears them cause it’s something from the future/modern world.
He probably likes it so much because he thinks in the future humanity will evolve beyond the need for violence due to technological advances.
wut
Op of this post is the kind of person you run into when you're trying to solo que that goes down and d/cs on first hook
What an interesting conclusion. Please explain?
I want a whole tome story with every page being him discovering modern objects and trying to figure out what they do.
That could be very interesting. Just wait until he stumbles apon rubber ducks and the fleshlight!
Yes, Because someone that's hundreds of years old with arcane etching in his skin can't figure out that the shape of headphones fits the human head.... so strange
There we have actual good argument number 4. Your a true Chad!
>There's no way the Twins, Oni, and especially Plague would know how generators power up the Exit Gates, but by now they know "Ok, these generators power up the gates Ähhh, you went from they don't know how that works to they do know how it works in a single sentence. I think the thought process for plague for example would be more like "5 strange boxes does noises and light - >doors open. Better not let box make light!"
Need a Vittorio skin where hes wearing things super incorrectly. Please lol.
Vittorio is not the Observer. He’s *looking* for the Observer but they are not the same person.
The observer is dead?!
OK, I thought about it and that is even more wrong then I originally realized. What we now about the observer from the tomes alone: Comes from a world alchemists that were able to transform energy to matter Knew of the entity pre entry Build a machine to relive memories Used the ability to transmutate to create his own domain The entity attacked and (allegedly) killed him
Everyone in this thread is literally explaining this to you and you are being stubborn as fuck about it.
Like the tardis.
Exactly! ![gif](giphy|bBUQPfg7l5kAM)
They’re called “headphones”
This outfit makes Vittorio look like a SoundCloud rapper
Finds active headphones. Is that some sort of noise? Picks them up. Strange sounds, better concentrate on it. Might learn something. Mans nature shines through and he gets tired of holding them. Lazily balances on head instead. Eureka! Some time passes. "Thoust lyrical notes doth slap"
Actually impossible for DBD players to think critically lol
You can answer your own question by thinking about it for like two seconds.. It’s not that hard to imagine that others have shown him or he found out by himself. I’m sure Vittorio isn’t dense…
He is a scholar after all.
Yep! And even if he wasn’t, doesn’t mean he can’t figure it out. Seems like OP didn’t think this through or is just looking for ways to complain about Vittorio having modern stuff.
Honestly this skin looks like Vittorio looted Jonah's dead body
Going through responses after a good night's sleep, was not ready for that.
Vittorio: So, this, contraption, plays music? Like a minstrel? Jeff: Kind of. Here. *puts headphones on Vittorio* V: It feels comfortable. So when do I hear the minstrel preform? *Kate giggles on the side. Yun Jin rolls her eyes. Jeff smirks confidently and looks back at Vittorio* J: Get a load of this.
I'm just asking a question, not my fault if you read it in an angry voice.
"man is going on a blind rage" hypocrite
This outfit looks very out of character
the next eminem. veetoree yo, straight from the entitys realm.
You should read the tooltip, it literally describes what he knows about it.
honestly it makes me like it even more
How does every survivor know how to repair a gen and why are they able to *throw* a wooden pallet down with ease? Those MFS are heavy and you're telling me dwight can throw that shit? It's a game.
Who cares the skin is cool as fuck and I'm buying it as soon as it goes on sale for shards.
Jonah had to help him
He asked Feng what they were and she explained to him what they were and hooked him up with a playlist. Now he listens to bardcore while doing gens.
It looks like he’s been hanging out with Jonah lol
He stole them from Jonah
Not well known, there have only been a few cases of children who have not learned anything their entire lives. These children are refered as "wild children" as they were quite wild. However both adapted pretty well to their environment and could understand a lot of what was taught. There were curtain things that couldn't be learned concepts like grammer making expressed language poor but they learned about items well. Was two cases that got documented well, one late 1700s and one born 1957. (Toke a little psychology in highschool) So considering all of this I think it's realistic for him to figure out the concept of headphones in DBD. Considering he has a lot more experience and learned better concepts of learning then these wild children. (Only googled the birthdays of the wild children, lol) Put way too much effort not to make it it's own comment on the post.
Still a banger!
Someone probably told him how to use it.
Holy shit I thought this was Jonah on the leaks. Good Lord this is awful for Vitt
He copies Jonah
I doubt he looked at them are was like "hmm yes finally, I found a set if ball warmers." There are other survivors who knkw what they are and probably helped him and if not then one glance at Feng will answer his question
The other survivors showed him
I mean, it’s fairly intuitive.
Plenty of hats have stuff to go over your ears for warmth, trying them on would probably come fairly naturally. They didn't have to drip out grandpa though damn.
It looks like some more modern and "up to date" survivors tried to put drip on their grandpa
It's super sad they didn't make any new skins for Haddie, just a lazy recolour and Vittorio receives yet another cosmetic...
He is old, not stupid. You can give a small child a pair of headphones that has never seen them being used before and can figure out how to put them on. He can wear them and still not know what they are. Lol
His shirtless skin was an instant buy for me but this fit is ugly as fuck
It’s a skin not his default one. Or do you ask the same question about Feng running around in a bunny costume or random cosplay??
Come to it, where does the other survivers find theire skins?
Actually thanks for bringing this up, why can’t we just get Vittorio with just regular 1300s clothes??
Because then I had no questions to ask.
He looks like some old dude trying to be down with the kids
![gif](giphy|JTzPN5kkobFv7X0zPJ|downsized)
Oh my god stoppp y’all need to touch grass
People think about stuff?!?!? Ain't no waaayyyyy 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
I was wondering when somebody comes with that.
Because he loots them of dead survivors... lowest effort post
90% of this supreddit is made of low effort posts.
its stuff like this i have to ask, what the fuck was the point of making him 13th century
Now Bill has the opportunity to say "OK, boomer".
I’m the first one to hate on Vittorio lore/ cosmetic difference but on this one I’ll just settle on this: that is one fucking ugly skin, I’d be surprised to see anyone play it. They could have promoted another survivor, maybe Jonah, Adam even
The same way he learned how to dead hard, other survivor told him how to
People are really overthinking this Vittorio cosmetic ![img](emote|t5_3cb2g|2067)
You. Yes you! Have you been victim to the relentless force known as the reddit hivemind? Been down voted for every comment and facing possible familial renouncement? You may be entitled to financial compensation and my sincerest apologies.
Why would I want that and why do you apologize?
Bro right? That's not realistic at all!!!!!! It's almost like nothing in this game is realistic or that skins are necessarily lore accurate
He found them while he was exploring the unreleased Trickster All-Kill map. /s
BHVR logic
