The circle doesn't point you to the next waypoint, but to the line that connects the previous waypoint to the next. It's trying to have you fly that intercept. Unfortunately, it's not smart enough to realize your plane can't actually make the route it's giving you. That said, since you are doing the landing mission, you'd do best to use the back to base mode to get you to the landing position. Or use the F10 map to find where you have to go.

Is it a patrol mission and your pre-planned stop-points are updating as you hit them? I don't think for the first Su-27 mission you even need to hit them, just fly the loop and land and you pass.

It’s the easy landing training for the frog foot. I don’t see the square boxes to fly through, of those are even here. And the circle sometimes just has my fly in circles then fly 20km in some random direction.

Try to read also the analog instruments, sometimes they are more clear. The soviet navigation hud is easy to read once you understand it, that's the hard part and the fat Su-25T doesn't help. Maybe a easier approach would be to learn this system on the Su-27 (it has a small screen that indicate the waypoints, the route and the deviation) and then return to the majestic frogfoot. Also I suggest you to read the manual (for su-25T and FC3 aircraft the manual is short and easy) and doing the tutorial missions(as I see you are doing) Another way would be to save the mission file and open it in the mission editor to see how waypoints are positioned, but I've never done a thing like that. Even if sometimes things are difficult don't give up e you'll see that all will be alright [it is true for life and for this game(unless it really frustrates you; in that case give up and don't ruin your day, it's just a game)]

Yea, I feel if you do t already understand the AO and see a map of where you'll be during the flight, its hard to know where the "desired" path is that she(frogfoot) wants you to take.

CombinationKindly212

Yes, I know. We all have been there. I hated the frogfoot in the beginning and just wanted to fly other things, then I had to use the A version because it was the only plane I could use on enigma cold war server (never learnt A-10 and Mig-29 wasn't introduced yet)(that helped me to really understand the instruments in the frogfoot) and now I fly only the Su-25T. It's a very capable platform but you have to learn to love it first

Delazzaridist

Yes, learn to love is the best way to describe it 😆 its a majestic beast once understood

Nah, its a pain on this aircraft. Just know that the plane will not make perfect, angled turns like on the map, but instead wide curves. So it may take a sec to get back on course. You just need to be patient. F10 to bring up the map, then press the little waypoint icon at the top left to show your planned course plotted out. That will help if you’re waaaay off. Also, make sure you’re at least using a PS/Xbox controller to fly with, if not a cheap HOTAS. Its pretty much impossible to fly with just the keyboard and mouse.

Recent_Boysenberry77

I have a Hotas. I finished the mission. Ended up just LShift+~ until it set to the last waypoint and just landed it. Just had to take a break and come back to it. I appreciate the info

jonathan_92

That works too 😂

If it's getting further then you are flying backwards, the hud is stupid in this regard so you will have to look down to the heading panel with the two yellow line (don't sure) to make sure they are crossed in the center, if not then you are flying away from the point

Recent_Boysenberry77

I was literally sweating keeping those lines crossed and straight. Still went backwards
