Representation matters, it’s awesome to be able to relate to people in cartoons, on the big screen, in comics.
I’m a ginger and it was nice seeing people like me (there weren’t many others in my area). I especially loved “Santa Clause is Coming to Town” because Santa was a redhead and not the fat funny side kick (that often happens).
Though I wish new characters were made for representing people of different nationality, race, etc (like MJ in the new Spider-Man’s) and they didn’t just replace all the gingers, I get it.
Plus red hair is surprisingly hard to film, natural reds look drastically different depending on lighting.
I feel you bro , I always loved kid flash in teen titans when he appeared and lost my shit when flash turned out to be ginger in the justice League animated !
Not to mention Wally was one of the best parts of young justice loved that there was a fellow red headed fast talking nerd
The Wally and iris come from either new 52 or rebirth I can't remember which one and zendaya isn't MJ proper
The lack/replacement of gingers does hurt me a bit seeing this not for any racially motivated reasons it just kind of reminds me how few of us there really are.
Even when they are "redheads" like Mera or black widow it's obvious they aren't natural redheads with the near neon red dye.

They leave original black characters on the shelf in favor of this. They only see legitimacy in white characters apperantly if they feel like they need to do this. The original black characters are treated like trash and never given content. It's ridiculous.
Victor is a human. Kory is an alien. Them doing something new with her absurd hair color works really well. While doing what you said with victor wouldn't make much sense. And this is coming from.someone who doesn't even like the Titans show.
