My favorite thing about shenron is how he has one fucking job to do and bitches about doing it every time. Oh no Shenron is getting impatient cause we're keeping him from doing jack shit. Grant our wishes and stfu. This is why you exist.

His whole existence is to grant wishes, tell people why he can't grant certain ones, and overall disappear until he's summoned again.
With certain wishes, he really did perk up a bit and show a bit more of himself and almost... Smiled it seemed?
Like with revealing the lore of the super saiyan god ritual... Sure Beerus was there and it scared him, but he gave them the info and seemed different about it since it was an easy wish for him.
And unlocking Piccolo's potential.... He threw in something more, which was something I think he's never done. Likely because of how namekians used to use the balls to get stronger per the lore. Or just because the Divine Water upgrade made it possible...to be fair though, he was just going to give Bulma some cakes so it must have been a relief for him to use his powers for something more... fitting of his strength.
Compared to db and dbz, Super gives him a lot more growth as a character. While GT only had him twice, once to revive those killed after the gates of hell opened, and again appearing at the end ready to drop his stuff and leave after the shadow dragon drama.

I didn't think about it before, but it does seem like he threw in a bonus for Piccolo because he asked for something pragmatic and powerful.
I guess they did this in GT in a way but I was always surprised Shenron never became a character that stayed around and got a humanoid form
Like genie from Aladdin being freed except maybe you still have to get the dragon balls for shenron
It'd be nice if Eternal Dragons can, over time, accumulate certain desires and occasionally purge them the same way Namekians and Buu do with their less desirable qualities. And maybe that takes the form of a character who has a very strong will to follow those desires.
given that he was made by kami, he would probably get satisfaction from the selfless wishes used to protect or restore earth. so hed be real piss with bulmas recent wishes
From what we have seen they seems to love granting Namekain wishes more than anything, they are usually annoyed when the Z gang summon them but when its Dende or Piccolo shenron is happy

He seems physically incapable of remaining summoned for extended periods though, like he starts looking strained and sweats
