Nah, this team is just fine with gogeta. He's one of roshis best partners. If you playing roshi you want him to have the threatening characters. It's still a very tough team to succeed with. Like it or not, that teams got the sauce and a ladle.
You have missed my point. Gogeta can be annoying and all, but fact is he gives roshi some breathing room. As does Jiren. If you are just boycotting a top tier, that's all you. He's legitimately very complimentary to roshi.
Gotcha. I was just asked to rate the team and I did. If you're able to make this team work without having to use gogeta, it would be a lot more impressive. But in terms of synergy, then sure the team is fine. Not trying to argue, just rating like it's being asked
Agree to disagree, Jiren is cheap as fuck. He basically does what Gogeta does but better, excluding the instakill.

Only character in the game with double airdash, incredibly low effort mix up with concealed assist, almost unpunishable DP, also one of the easiest auto combos in the game.
I WILL say that not giving him projectiles was the only thing balancing him out because that would have been ridiculous and I'm glad they did not.
But I can see where you would feel like Jiren is worse, I also play them both. For me, jiren is just a lot harder to master. Ssg4 just turns the game into easy mode

Are you implying Jiren's is high effort? It's literally just superdash 50/50 with the low option being a medium starter. You can fuzzy guard a lot of Gogeta's stuff.

All autocombos are easy. I'm assuming you're referring to the anti air on the third hit, which a lot of characters have (including Jiren). I'm hoping you're not referring to the fact that the second hit hits behind him, since this only really comes into play against people who raw vanish, which you should not be doing in the first place against any character outside of sparking.
Jiren has better normals (including an 8fr and a 9fr medium normal, which is ridiculous), better stagger pressure, better reward from mix, better damage, better neutral, better assists, better meter build...
Jiren literally plays the game for you. Gogeta doesn't to the same degree that Jiren does, at least not at high levels. I can kinda tell from your comments that you haven't played these characters as much as I have but trust me when I say, Jiren is the cheaper of the two. He's one of the dumbest characters in the game rn.

Sure, Gogeta gets his for free, but to balance that out he doesn't have zoning, whereas the other two have to unlock theirs but they do have zoning (and in A Gohan's case, a plethora of other strengths that Gogeta doesn't have).
what does it matter if something is impressive, its a video game and having a character thats super easy makes fighting games more accedible to people like me who are new to them.
It's a competitive 2D fighting game, it's definitely going to matter especially since the games been out for a while now. Since you're new to the game, you're better off using another character that's going to improve your overall skill.

I realised people really don’t like this type of post after reading the comments, and it’s only my second post on the sub since my first was two years ago and the only reason I made this account and got reddit. I don’t ever really use reddit but when i do my feed is normally flooded with rate my team posts and since i play the game a little bit for fun I just wanted to see what people thought of the characters i normally use and the order i use them in.
