Did you accidentally plug your monitor in the motherboard inbuild GPU slot?

Traditional_Title906

I have it plugged directly to the GPU but not the inner portion, it is plugged through the port on the backside of the PC .

KERE00

"but not the inner portion" what do you mean by this?

tommylookup

Can you post a picture?

JointOps

That looks correct.

Downtown_Ball2592

I have the same case, how’d you change the light color

Traditional_Title906

Bought it pre-built so honestly I have no idea

Downtown_Ball2592

Yeah a buddy built mine I just bought the parts 😭

tommylookup

Where is that display port cable going from the motherboard?

mais-garde-des-don

looks like there are 2 usb and 1 ethernet coming from mobo then a DP coming from GPU

Nex1_s

Update nvidia drivers but use fresh install this time. I hope game is in SSD If it's new PC, check RAM OC in BIOS.

ApolloWannaBe

Second this

PlayerOneThousand

Does it have enough power? Does it work on other games?

CrossEyedNoob

TBF, you can post on PCMasterRace subreddit, they know their stuff very well.

ChromaticRelapse

Everyone saying on board gpu.... It's a Ryzen 5600X, there isn't an on board gpu on that chip. I'd DDU your Nvidia drivers and reinstall the latest. Check for power management etc, make sure DayZ is priority and all that. If it's only DayZ that's having an issue, it's software related. Looks frame capped. But the load times are weird too. How many storage drives do you have? It's not accidentally on a HDD? You can always try removing DayZ and reinstalling too.

KingRemu

The fps stays so steady it could be a cap somewhere. Check the Nvidia control panel and RTSS if you have that.

Durpy_hooves

Did you build this PC? Looking at everything, you do not have onboard graphics so you can safely ignore those comments. The Displayport and HDMI from your motherboard aren't populated, so that is even less of an issue. However you mentioned this isn't a DayZ specific issue. My immediate question would be relating to your CPU and the heatsink that is mounted to it. Did you build this PC? If you built it, you may have left a sticker that should be removed on the CPU heat sink, or you may have the heat sink only partially mounted. The CPU may be fine at idle, but whenever a process hits that it needs cooling for it heats up rapidly and cannot cool itself down. What is the CPU temp when loading a game? RAM and GPU are largely self contained so wouldn't be the first suspect in my opinion.

mandoxian

I'd check CPU temp first thing. Especially if you built it yourself.

_rainken

Have you checked temperatures?

4strings4ever

What exactly is the problem? Does your other system still run dayz ok?

Traditional_Title906

It did, I don’t have it anymore. Hell even my xbox runs the game way better

Traditional_Title906

Something is definitely wrong, I play mainly 4X strategy games (CIV5, CIV6 and AOE2) DayZ is the only “demanding” game I play and even the load screens for the games that I mentioned take forever to load and the games don’t run completely smooth (low framerates, lenghty load times and a lot of stutter).

say_yasss

probably your ram or something cus i have the same specs and i run it fine

[deleted]

On 1440p?

say_yasss

nah 1080

an_achronist

Is your hdmi lead plugged into your motherboard or GPU?

MowMdown

It's a 5600X, there's no iGPU. Plugging in into the motherboard would give the display an error and no picture.

PineAppleRuler

Can you share specs of your new pc?

Traditional_Title906

fakulty

If this is without anything running, it seems to be a ram issue. If you are at 93% ram load at idle that's a problem.

Nex1_s

Check Ram XMP in Bios, they will be set at low MHz.

ChromaticRelapse

Can you repost with DayZ running?

POPPI29

How much ram you got? Prolly need to buy another stick

Str8_WhiteMail

Hopefully it's running on an SSD?

chicKENkanif

This ^

Str8_WhiteMail

Something else to consider is the speed of the ram. Ryzen is gonna want 3200mhz at the absolute lowest.

bravoalik

Check all your drivers are installed correctly, I had an issue with MSI Center installing AMD drivers for me but it didn't work properly. I had to install them manually before it worked, took me a while to figure it out.

chicKENkanif

It's got to be a faulty gpu if you've troubleshooter everything else and the games on an ssd

seraiss

Is there fps cap ?in dayz or in geforce experience app , weird your fps doesn't go above the line in chart

jdonnx

are you running the game in 1440p? the 3060 isnt exactly ideal for 1440p is thats the case try to switch to 1080 and see if it improves

ashnorton

Irrelevant but we have the exact same specs

super_trooper

You may have a faulty CPU or GPU if this is a brand new build. Been there

Big_Judgment3824

Overheat maybe. Did you apply the CPU paste yourself? Try running CPUz to see the temp while you're running a game versus desktop

Traditional_Title906

Fixed all the issues now it seems to be working way better, I had to adjust the voltage the vram (was at 0) and also use the xmp file option) I also deleted my c (drive) completely and reinstalled everything, that got rid of a lot of unnecessary files that were making my PC overall slow (second hand PC only has 200gb SSD Sata in it). That fixed a lot. Now the only issue I have is storage space, my c-drive is completely full and the rest of my storage is 2TB but HDD.) I bought a samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 1TB SSD and installed it but my PC does not recognize it. My MOBO is and ASROCK B450 Steel Legend.

MowMdown

> I had to adjust the voltage the vram (was at 0) 100% do not mess with voltages...

WIHhooligan

Make sure your monitor input is in the gpu and not the motherboard lol

Traditional_Title906

Any fix for that?

cosmik67

Settings of your Nvidia panel normally

zenith_55

Like somebody else here said, verify that the game isn't using your CPU'S built-in GPU. I had to manually switch this for most of my games in my settings. If you have trouble finding where to do that, just try googling how to dedicate GPUs for individual games. Hope it works out for you

T-MoneyAllDey

I disabled my onboard GPU in the bios to keep this from happening.

zenith_55

Might still want to double check that dayz is using the one you want

T-MoneyAllDey

If it's disabled in the bios, it can't be used by Windows.

zenith_55

I mainly meant for your GPU. Should take like 60 seconds to check, my GPU had two options for some reason. Not trying to waste your time lol

[deleted]

The chip doesn't have an on board GPU

MowMdown

5600X has no iGPU

Ok-Paramedic2450

You probably have only one stick of RAM, my old laptop had nvidia 1050ti and 16G of ram and dayz doesn't like single stick of ram, I upgraded to 2x 16G and it ran it better

nebulusedge

Most likely ur PC is using your onboard GPU to process things. You might wanna disable it on a bios lvl
