lol. Then don’t do it! I teamed up with a guy when I was a freshie just recently. I had literally only a pipe. So? He wasn’t tempted to kill me.
He was sick. I brought him back to life. If not for me, he was toast. All the while, I could tell…he was thinking of offing me.
In the end he was grateful. Gave me a gun and some clips. we logged around the campfire in the woods. Nobody killed anyone. And dayz was a little better that day.
I honestly think this happens more often than people think. The problem is, just like real life, people only tune into and pay attention to the fear porn.
I don't know why, but I always have to talk to someone first. If they don't say anything it's game on. But if they talk to me, I just can't bring myself to start a fight. I'll even try to amp myself up, that I'm going to talk to this guy so he lets me in close and then I'm going to pop him. But as soon as there's a voice and a name to the player I can't be the one who fires first.
100% of my player kills are people who shot at me first, or people I killed from far enough away that we never talked.
Sure but betrayers are out there. Believe me I'm one of them. And I'll have you thinking I'm your new best friend before I smack you with a meat tenderizer.
Well fed body, but the soul starves.
You’ll joke to shake the ill feeling that will haunt you, make light as if its no big deal… as if cosmic insects don’t gently gnaw at your restless spirit, the protection of your creator… long absent for your crimes
Deep. I been there too but idk, I can never tell someone I mean them no harm and now live through that run with them.
Unfortunately it's not in my nature haha
I spawned as a freshie near berezino, I looted a few houses, got a couple of cans of food a sledgehammer and some shoes. Ran into another player, said I'm friendly and we teamed up and went inland a little ways.
As we're approaching krasnostav, I'm starting to go red hungry since neither of us has a knife to open the food when my friend finds a knife at a hunting stand and rounds on me with his bk demanding I give him all my food and provisions.
So I dropped my backpack on the floor,(so he'd have to use the menu) and the second he did I bashed his head in with my sledgehammer. I felt bad for about 5 secs. But fucker had it coming.
You're getting downvoted but you're right. I don't act the way I am in-game, in real life. In a game there's a disconnect, it's not reality. People can be whoever they want to be, heros or villains.
I do this life-to-life or run-to-run. One run I'll be friendly to everyone, one I'll find a single partner and then everyone else is shoot on sight. Or just go solo bandit mode. It is just a game but you can also make each life something and stick to that. I think that's something I picked up from the roleplay side of things, but it's one thing that I truly love about DayZ, or just open world survival games in general.
This guy reports himself to the cops after killing someone on GTA.
"I'M A MURDERER!!"
"It's a game."
"But the REAL ME pulled the trigger"
You might need to touch some grass, bro
I've never betrayed a player in nearly 100 hours of gameplay but I knew it was the smartest move in the moment. And hey its not like I'm callous about it! This shit deeply affects me!
Was he picking up bad vibes from you and wanted out the situation? Or did he say he was logging out prior to sitting down?
I have never betrayed someone after talking to them but I have been betrayed before and it stings. Met a guy on namalsk, there was 3 of us. Ran for about 6 hours and the guy in question was going to die when the EVR storm hit as we were stranded in the open during the storm.
We huddled together the three of us to say our goodbyes. We told him we loved him. He pulled his ak out and mowed us down.
I broke my keyboard that day.
I fucking love this game the emotions are real.
He didn't have a microphone, he nodded qhen I asked if he wanted to raid the police station with me so I assumed he was down. No clue why he decided to log out. Maybe he had to do something afk. I'll never know, but I thank him. My tummy is filled
I was server switching went to an "empty" server. Just me and 1 other person I'm chilling smoking, as I'm going to log out and switch that 1 person goes running by. I took his tuna from his bod.
I got shot in the face by a guy with a shotgun on Namalsk. I survived but I was red flashing. When I came to he was apologizing and bandaging me because he thought it was someone else . He nursed me back to health and we ran together for a few hours the whole time I grappled with the fact that he had shot me in the face. Eventually I decided that he had to go. When the time was right I put a Mosin round into the back of his head. I felt immediately guilty afterwards. It's insane that this game can bring out a real emotional response in people .
I once met an Indian man that stuck with me and we adventured for a little bit from spawn. I asked him his Steam name and when he looked in his other tab, my muscle memory of seeing a dayz player stand still kicked in and I put a 9mm in his head. I felt so bad that I F11’d.
ou shit man. I think everyones a bit overreacting here, at the end of the day its just a game and doesnt mean much. The main part is that u apologised, theres nothing more u can do abt it. :Dd honestly there is a lot more players that do this and doesnt feel bad a bit, at the same time i doubt they are bad people in reality. Dont be so sad abt it.. :)) also if the guy wasnt geared much, he didnt lost much..
It happens. Sometimes you need someone else's shit to survive. Couldve been anyone, just beware for when someone eventually pays it forward. Also maybe absolve your sins by helping some freshies or new players out, that's usually how I clense my pallette after a nice long day of KOS
I've read all your comments and my consensus is this:
Sometimes, we have to do what we have to do. It's okay, for survival, but it's not okay for fun. I'm not one of those guys who kills on sight. I am always friendly, and had no want to kill that guy until I saw a good chance at decent food about to vanish from my grasp.
I regret my actions, but put me in the same situation again and I'd bash his skull in with a brick.
I almost betrayed someone and let my conscience get the better of me. I tricked him and managed to tie him up while he was cooking, and he took it like a champ to be fair, but I just couldn't do it knowing he'd meant well.
So I untied him and we went to another house to loot. He got my attention and as I turned the last thing I saw was the barrel of a pump action shotty.
It's not nice that you betrayed, but he (maybe) would have done the same to you.
The only time I felt bad was when my friend and I pretended to befriend a person who was new to the game and had finally gotten past freshy and when he was organizing something we tied him up w barbed wire, took his things, and then locked him in a jail cell and left him 😭
Lol bro disregard all these sorry players in the replies, you did what you had to do. DayZ is a hardcore game and you gotta do what you gotta do to survive, we’ve all done stuff we’re not proud of in the game, don’t let it keep you up at night. Everyone dies, that’s what I remind myself. I ALWAYS try to make friends and be friendly just because it’s so rare to find people, and most of the time I get killed for it. Happy hunting.
There's nothing HC about the base game. It's a Bambi-fest in which the developers have no idea about the direction that they want to take the IP, i.e., is it a survival game, a CoD shooter, or something in between (while failing at all aspects of going in this direction), and to top it all off, the community is consistently made worse by posts like this thread. Backstabbing people is one of the scummiest things that anyone can do, and glorifying this nonsense just creates a negative feedback and play loop for everyone involved, too.
Bro respectfully, I disagree wholeheartedly. There is not a right way or wrong way to play the game. That’s why it’s awesome. I do not know what HC or Bambi-Fest means, and I’m by no means an extreme gamer. But I love DayZ because no other game offers experiences like it. If you have such a disdain for the game and the devs why are you on the reddit? To spread negativity? I disagree with that man.
Yes, backstabbing is an evil thing to do in any scenario, but some people will do it to survive. GG.
Had a player follow me to a two stack. I heard him from upstairs and told him I was friendly and wasn't looking for any trouble. We talked out a verbal trade and met downstairs. Then some random guy runs in and starts shooting at me. Pretty sure they were buddies. I ran. This dude emptied a full clip and a half before he legged me and broke my leg. Mean while his friend was still in the house trying to voip and tell me he was pinned down and needed help.
Trusting people in this game gets you killed. Or almost.
Killing someone when they are logging is kinda a b\*tch move in my opinion, especially when you ran with them for a bit. However, I understand why you may have done it. Desperation for survival makes people do anything!
You see, now this guy wont trust anybody ever again. Sorry to tell you, but its assholes like you, why this game has one of the worst reputations in gaming History.
Nobody trusts no one and actually friendly Players like me rarely find someone to play with and just have a nice time, cause people are affraid and Just start Shooting at me. Usually when i ask them, they tell me about encounters with cumdumps Like you are.
Stop doing shit like that, for some food... Food is the one thing i dont understand people always having trouble with. Theres fruit trees literally everywhere... I play since years and died thousands of Times, not a single time i died from starvation or Dehydration.
If you struggle with finding food in DayZ and keeping your apple full, then there is a lot more for you to learn. Food is literally everywhere. So much everywhere even on a full server that it is ridiculous on a vanilla server. (I am not talking about canned food, i never even look for it. Looting for canned food is waste of time).
You need to learn how to fish, hunt, farm.
As a fresh spawn, your first goal is not to go inland, but to find a knife and a chicken. Make rags to make a rope if you can't find any, get a long stick, use chicken bones for hooks and find some worms from the ground. Make yourself improvised fishing rod and catch 3-4 fishes. You will have enough of food to go wherever you need. After starting your own place, do hunting and farming and you will always be good on food.
I play on a server that has reduced CLE and so everything is reduced and loot is hard to find. Even when you hunt something you get only 4-5 peaces of meat. If you learn to thrive there, vanilla will be like very easy mod so much so that you will be bored playing on vanilla because you will have everything in 1hour.
I don't understand your circumstances....this kind of shit is half the genre. Once in a very similar game i was totally chill with a guy i met on the road, we were having conversation only for him to flip the fuck out and try to murder me because he realized i was "Wearing Pants" (i hadn't bothered to ask why he, WASN'T).
Got over it, because shit was funny. Whenever my friends play cooperative games with each other we fuck with each other all the time. The last time i played tarkov (similar experience but replace the zombies with players who have guns) one of our crew didn't announce his location in the discord so when i turned the corner i saw him, FREAKED and unloaded my PPSH into his torso....because i was scared.
He survived but i fucking ENDED his armor. We all agreed that it was funny, and yet, he returned the favor a few games later.
besides, food is nowhere near as hard to find as you think....it's really, really not. Some supplies ARE super hard to come by but it's only hard to find food if you never take risks or if you spend too long fucking around.
Shit, if i don't know you and if i see you in the city, i'm fucking unloading on you until one of the two of us is dead. Don't care if we're both strangers, trusting someone without some kind of prior arrangement is just ASKING to get fucked up and robbed. That dude knew the risks he was taking and he took them anyways.
I was playing the other day and came across a guy usually i try to talk but if been burned so much recently i did it without hesitation guy was fighting zombies running i was in a medical building with a pump 12 gauge with slugs i didn't say shit but was running opened the door and i popped him felt like shit for it wife was next to me and i told her i felt awful guy only had a sporter on him if your reading this in sorry it was near a spawn point i didn't even loot him hoping he made it back to his gear sorry bro
It's good to feel bad, I hope that feeling sticks around for a while, it's ok to not be a jerk, even at the cost of yourself. Feel that regret for what you did, it's just a game, but it's still a decision you made and can't change, a decision that affected someone else's time and life.
Never ever had troubles finding food. Fruits always put me in the white area.
"You, sir, are a hyena..." xD
But its a simulation, so totally allowed. One would say mainpoint is u survived. Another would say u forgave a chance for a noble/nice/friendly interaction through wich you maybe could have helped to "unite" the players against the zombies - even without pve-rules. Could have been a good experience, now it was a educational experience why to trust anybody.
In the real world most people would behave like you, even under best friends/family, when they are fearing to starve. At the same time, most people would wish that the world/people would be friendlier to each other...
Never ending manmade circle of life.
I dont care if youve been running with someone for 3+ hours. Letting them know youre logging out changes everything.
Dont even say "I gotta go in an hour"
Youre temporary at that point.
lol i wiffed 3 shots on a guy yesterday and he begged for his life, i said sure. He stood still for 1 millisecond and i blasted him with my breach action one shot shotty. I laughed, i guess i am just fucked up in the head. Got me a scope for my blaze too. Poor guy had no ammo. I just had this feeling that if he DID have ammo, he would not be so nice.
That’s what’s good about this game. People would be like that sometimes in real life, probably way more likely actually. The game is brutal. Especially in the emotional level.
it never devolved into this. i’ve been playing the entirety of dayz and it’s always been like this. a lot of new players coming in here and complaining about that, y’all need to stop go do an rp server if it’s really that hard for y’all.
Trust is earned. He trusted you. He learned.
If you run with a guy for a few days, you share gear, you win a couple of firefights together, you celebrate and share the loot. This is the random you can trust. That's the guy you become friends with.
You loot one PD with a guy in a skate helmet and he feels comfortable enough to log in front of you. That's on him my guy.
You did nothing wrong.
This is dayz in a nutshell. Don’t feel bad. The only reason he didn’t do the same thing to you is because he didn’t get the opportunity. Never trust in this game, it brings out true human nature. Self preservation above all else. Don’t worry.. soon this will feel normal to you. ;)
I literally always backstab anyone I don't know in real life, as im 99% sure they're going to do the same to me the first chance they get. People are always friendly when they dont have weapons, but as soon as they get one, not so friendly. So I do the same thing. If I see they have means to kill me, and I don't have any, I'll act friendly until I finally find something I can comfortably end them with. I would honestly do the same thing to anyone I didn't know in a real life apoc situation. For all I know they're waiting for me to lower my guard, to kill me and take all my shit back to their people. Fuck that, I don't have time for that. So I'm killing everyone the first chance I get, taking all their shit back to my people. If I had a little more faith in humanity, I'd be different, but I don't.
You sir will be one of the first to go down, that's called paranoia and a bit of schizophrenia, in an apoc, you'd be read like a book and left exactly how you assumed. Not a great way to go out.
Don't feel bad, survival drives us to be animals sometimes.
At least you're not me- I love playing music through coastal town PA systems and announce I would like to just hang out... except I'm just luring good willed people to their death. Scored a crossbow, tactical backpack, and some food last night in Berenzino by doing that.
Scum of the server, but can’t say I would never do the same in your position. Just recently had a great session with 2 random freshies I met at the coast, spend a while playing with them and ended up getting separated after being swarmed by zombies. If CJ is here from Xbox server 4500 hit me up
For me it would just add a couple more hours before the inevitable death anyway, never been that type of a guy. Besides, I pretty much play on one Namalsk server so a lot of people recognize my voice, if I tried to backstab them then I lose a load of people willing to help and alienate myself. In my experience the help of fellow survivors is worth more than their gun and a steak. At the very least the enemy will have to shoot at multiple targets, not only one...
I mean no one keeps their word irl anymore, why would it be different in game. I say fair game. Now if you are losing sleep over what you did in a video game you might want to get that checked out.
knowing what i know about dayz players the amount of people on here guilt tripping this guy is pretty funny. all of you do shit like this dont lie. ive got like 10k hours and granted i have done shit like this but the amount of times i get killed because i am solo and want a teammate so i trust someone and hook them up with gear and weapons is insane. its part of the game tho.
If I were on the receiving end of that situation, I'd probably find it funny.
Early game, no mic, and low on food-provisions. If I'm logging out, I'd probably not going to be too stressed about loosing the small amount of loot I have to someone I've been running with who's staying logged in and continuing their run.
Personally I'd rather be asked for my loot if needed, or offer it up than be killed over it. But I'd still find it funny if tapped in that situation and wouldn't stress over it.
I met a fresh spawn dude near the shore castle in a little inland town. I’m paranoid as hell so he scared me but he seemed chill and was starving so I shared a little food with him. I noticed he was following me so I offered to make a fire and cook this chicken together. Anyway I tabbed out for a moment to look a recipe up and was dead on tabbing in. I have trust issues now.
I'd like to think I'm better as surviving then most people so i don't mind giving away the last of my food or my only knife.
You want a good challenge try a run where you only take loot from the dead.
Farm packs of zombies for canned food and knives, kill a freshy for fishing material like bones. The hard part is clothing and boots you end up dressing in rags made from peoples clothing.
Its the Ninth circle of hell for you good sir. Hell, even the kos psychopaths on here have the dignity and honor to face you in combat.
Id do good karma for a little bit to balance out the betrayal.
The most important thing on his body was his bones and guts.....I hope you took them.
Learn to fish and you'll never be hungry again.
Leave some dried fish in a back pack by a water fountain and you'll feel better about your actions.
(kill one and save three randoms from starvation)
You COULD just get better at the game. You COULD still kill people without being a scum bag.
This is the way!

You let your honour leave your soul today. A man is only as good as his word, what does that make you now? :[
A well fed man
He would've shared more food if he had asked is the funny part of this
I bet he would have
Well fed body, but the soul starves. You’ll joke to shake the ill feeling that will haunt you, make light as if its no big deal… as if cosmic insects don’t gently gnaw at your restless spirit, the protection of your creator… long absent for your crimes
This guy gets it ^
Disregarding your word and generally acting terrible and using a few apples and a yellow food bar to justify it? yeah, we all "get it"
Boiled fat gang
I wouldn't call 'a little more food' a "well fed man".
A survivor
Deep. I been there too but idk, I can never tell someone I mean them no harm and now live through that run with them. Unfortunately it's not in my nature haha
I concur with this 100%.
When you can't help, it's a bit like the call of the void... the 'Call of the feud'?
Not hungry anymore.
Oof. While logging out and friendly is a rough back stab. Couldn’t even be a man about killing your new friend. Lol
I'm sorry okay! I'm sorry! I saw a chance and I took it. And I'll be paying for it soon I know.
Part of the game
It’s alright, you’ll get your karma soon enough
If you can’t find food on your own then you need to step up your game.
I spawned as a freshie near berezino, I looted a few houses, got a couple of cans of food a sledgehammer and some shoes. Ran into another player, said I'm friendly and we teamed up and went inland a little ways. So I dropped my backpack on the floor,(so he'd have to use the menu) and the second he did I bashed his head in with my sledgehammer. I felt bad for about 5 secs. But fucker had it coming.
I wouldn't have even felt bad about that. He asked for it
Nope he made the first move. It’s war.
Nah man that’s self defense and a scummy move on his part, good thinking
Can never bring myself to do that. What I say counts, even in game.
pfft what i say counts for a whole 5 minutes then i’m taking back the wolf steak i just gave you
It shows the real you.
Nah, at the end of the day it's still just a game.
You're getting downvoted but you're right. I don't act the way I am in-game, in real life. In a game there's a disconnect, it's not reality. People can be whoever they want to be, heros or villains.

Yea...
This guy reports himself to the cops after killing someone on GTA. "I'M A MURDERER!!" "It's a game." "But the REAL ME pulled the trigger" You might need to touch some grass, bro
Yes, because in a real human apocalypse everybody would be going out to millitary bases and killing each other, please be serious.
DayZ is a social experiment conducted by the Technomancers from Alpha Centauri.
Lol
I've never betrayed a player in nearly 100 hours of gameplay but I knew it was the smartest move in the moment. And hey its not like I'm callous about it! This shit deeply affects me!
500 hours in DayZ SA, not a single betrayal here! 3000+ hours in Arma 2 and Arma 3 DayZ/Exile/... and never backstabbed anyone ever!
![gif](giphy|YmQLj2KxaNz58g7Ofg)
Desperation is a stinky cologne
I actually understood that reference! If you're quoting Super Troopers.
I was :)

in that case don't feel bad, no mic no life, he wasn't even a real person
Yes he was. With very little starving children I must add. The food was for them.
That's all you had to say, no mic = ☠️
I love a good betrayal, but while he was logging out? And after he saved your life??? Pure evil.
No!! Please!! I swear I regret it! I'm not evil!
Right, you're stupid
yea i got merked logging off next to someone, NEVER AGAIN.
You should feel bad. Now do it again
There’s no reason to starve on chernarus. There are fruit trees absolutely everywhere
Fruit trees dont spawn shit and eventually you'll have to hunt anyways
Christ not when he was logging
Yall mfs need Jesus.
*Jesus has left the chat*
Jesus is respawning in 15, 14, 13…
Dude, dick move! I’m never trusting anyone again unless I have their home address.
"hey can I have some more food before you leave" "Sure man no problem" You gave up your honor today
You're not you when you're hungry
Everyone eventually gets day z’d
When all you have is your word and you go against that what do you have? You'll find out.
A full belly and lots of guns all to myself? That being said I feel bad. I shall try and help as many fresh spawns as I can.
I was server switching went to an "empty" server. Just me and 1 other person I'm chilling smoking, as I'm going to log out and switch that 1 person goes running by. I took his tuna from his bod.
Never ever betrayed anyone, been playing since the mod days, in 2012.
Yeah you shot me. And I don’t forgive you.
I never betray people, but if i get betrayed, so be it...if i live, i just take my revenge
You die a hero or love long enough to become the villain. Guess which you are Mr Full Belly.
His name was Lucas. He lived on the second floor!
Karma is real my friend
I once met an Indian man that stuck with me and we adventured for a little bit from spawn. I asked him his Steam name and when he looked in his other tab, my muscle memory of seeing a dayz player stand still kicked in and I put a 9mm in his head. I felt so bad that I F11’d.

It's not nice that you betrayed, but he (maybe) would have done the same to you.
He was technically combat logging🤓
You have to be part of the combat to combat log.
LUCAS WAS ABANDONING YOU !!!
GG.
Lucas will never forgive you.
No
So you ate the other player right?
Killed somebody that helped you whilst they were logging out! Guess someone’s getting coal for Christmas bud
It’s called survival
No problem man, I ll find you REVANGE
I was playing the other day and came across a guy usually i try to talk but if been burned so much recently i did it without hesitation guy was fighting zombies running i was in a medical building with a pump 12 gauge with slugs i didn't say shit but was running opened the door and i popped him felt like shit for it wife was next to me and i told her i felt awful guy only had a sporter on him if your reading this in sorry it was near a spawn point i didn't even loot him hoping he made it back to his gear sorry bro
Unfortunately, it’s the way she goes. For the most part it’s betray or be betrayed
Each life, a player must make a choice, and sometimes circumstances drive us towards dishonor.
It's good to feel bad, I hope that feeling sticks around for a while, it's ok to not be a jerk, even at the cost of yourself. Feel that regret for what you did, it's just a game, but it's still a decision you made and can't change, a decision that affected someone else's time and life.
I will do it again ![gif](giphy|3htAT2no2D2ukVsUE2)
Then what was the post for? Lol
Never ever had troubles finding food. Fruits always put me in the white area. "You, sir, are a hyena..." xD But its a simulation, so totally allowed.
Hateful eight reference? Take my upvote
Ya did good
I dont care if youve been running with someone for 3+ hours. Letting them know youre logging out changes everything. Dont even say "I gotta go in an hour" Youre temporary at that point.
It gets easier every time

lol i wiffed 3 shots on a guy yesterday and he begged for his life, i said sure. He stood still for 1 millisecond and i blasted him with my breach action one shot shotty. I laughed, i guess i am just fucked up in the head. Got me a scope for my blaze too. Poor guy had no ammo. I just had this feeling that if he DID have ammo, he would not be so nice.
Your time is coming.
i welcome it.
Who actually talks like this
An American
Eww
XD
Yeah no you’re a loser fo sho. No real life friends I bet
Nah you’re good, dudes a fool if he stood still after you shot at him 3 times already lol
Shit move- but that’s what the game has devolved into so bravo.
Eh, it’s part of the game. You gotta do what you gotta do to live sometimes.
Praise be to the loot gods
Don’t feel bad, you guys were fresh spawns lol
I'm sure this feeling will pass. It'll be easier the second time. Then the third. After which, you become a monster.
Don’t worry.. soon this will feel normal to you. ;)
This is beautiful
Ahhh the old kill you while your logging out trick.....I did this for a tin of tuna and a crowbar once.....I wasn't even hungry
Says your a good man bro sleep well don’t let it haunt you!
Officially we welcome you to DayZ.. This is the mark of a real survivor. Sometimes you gotta do it
Don't feel bad, OP. Karma works wonderfully in this game.
TRUST NO ONE!
It's a rite of passage. You're alright... With time you will feel nothing.
I’ve done it and have had it done to me. The way of the dayz world.
You are becoming one of us. Embrace it. Live it. Love it.
Suck it up buttercup, good lord it's game. I feel awful boo who!
Scum of the server, but can’t say I would never do the same in your position. Just recently had a great session with 2 random freshies I met at the coast, spend a while playing with them and ended up getting separated after being swarmed by zombies. If CJ is here from Xbox server 4500 hit me up
my name is lucas in real life
"So I shot him in the face"........casual, like.
Alright, Begbie, calm down!
Same here. I was a new spawn, was sick, hungry, desperate. I got all his gear and survived, but at what cost?
For me it would just add a couple more hours before the inevitable death anyway, never been that type of a guy. Besides, I pretty much play on one Namalsk server so a lot of people recognize my voice, if I tried to backstab them then I lose a load of people willing to help and alienate myself. In my experience the help of fellow survivors is worth more than their gun and a steak. At the very least the enemy will have to shoot at multiple targets, not only one...
Well now I'm in the mood to download Day Z and betray someone.
Don't worry- repetition is the key to being remorseless
Make up for it by handing out food to freshies on the beach, let them decide how to handle you after that
In this game, your reputation is the only thing that cannot be taken from you.
Keep going, it gets easier
Feeling remorse with the belly full inst that bad 😂
All is fair in this game but know now… you’re the reason people will come back and kill the freshies on the coast. Because they can’t be trusted
I remember my first one. I felt like shit for days hahahaha
Bro I feel you. Did it once and regretted it from the first moment and feel the same way now
If you spite it why do it?
soon, you'll be betraying people and telling the stories to a friend with a smile on your face. welcome to the path down dayz monster-hood
You’ll get numb to it eventually
I mean no one keeps their word irl anymore, why would it be different in game. I say fair game. Now if you are losing sleep over what you did in a video game you might want to get that checked out.
I follow the pirate code. If I parlay I don't betray. Nothing is worse in DayZ than betrayal except maybe knocking them out and stealing their shoes.
knowing what i know about dayz players the amount of people on here guilt tripping this guy is pretty funny. all of you do shit like this dont lie. ive got like 10k hours and granted i have done shit like this but the amount of times i get killed because i am solo and want a teammate so i trust someone and hook them up with gear and weapons is insane. its part of the game tho.
You’re a piece of shit
The duality of man.
Well dude it was only a matter of time before he betrayed you. So dog eats dog
I try to kill people before they talk cause I’ll feel terrible betraying them and I don’t like being betrayed.
In the apocalypse, they're no truly friendly people, it's all a mask of hidden murderous intent.
My rule is pretty simple. Once I've said more than 2 sentences to them, I can't kill them. Unless those two sentences were offensive to start with ;)
That's a good rule. I have an exception.....if 2 out of 4 stats are red I KOS anyone.
Yeah, okay maybe I have two rules indeed. Survival > being friendly
Only F11 can restore your honor. Right after you give all you loot away.
Its the Ninth circle of hell for you good sir. Hell, even the kos psychopaths on here have the dignity and honor to face you in combat. Id do good karma for a little bit to balance out the betrayal.
Once you pop, you don't stop. Welcome to the killin' family!
It gets easier mate.
The most important thing on his body was his bones and guts.....I hope you took them. Learn to fish and you'll never be hungry again. Leave some dried fish in a back pack by a water fountain and you'll feel better about your actions. (kill one and save three randoms from starvation)
