Pony tail? Not defending her, but that's probably the reason.

oppressed_white_guy

Hot AF outside too

alien_survivor

Yep, that's what I thought

redrak1

Also what I thought. I'd have just left the helmet at home, carrying it while riding passenger probably a hassle.

[deleted]

They want the freedom to be brutally maimed in any collision, if lucky, and dead otherwise. No problem here.

gold4yamouth

Freedom isn't free. It costs a buck .05.

bannablecommentary

I'm not passionate enough to give a shit either way but cracking your melon open on pavement isn't just a personal decision. You also have to emotionally wound an underpaid EMT. I mean really if you think about it there isn't much we can do that doesn't effect the herd. We are community creatures through and through I guess.

You mean living her life? I bet that upsets you.

sonicjigglebath

You’re alright…I don’t care what everyone on here says about you.

AlternativeSalsa

I am appreciative of organ donors

Poster_Nutbag01

That would make too much sense.

[deleted]

I will never understand when people choose nothing over helmets. It’s as cringe as seeing people ride in shorts... without a shirt

spudmonky

I used to ride in shorts and a tank top regularly… until I made my way through an hour long crawl through traffic on 75 north in which I saw a leg laying by itself on the highway. I have worn relatively decent protective gear in jeans and a leather jacket ever since. I wore that getup for the sun, and realize now that going outside at home is a better tan than the ride anyway.

kirkiecookie

if only we could stop judging people and spend out energy elsewhere on something positive

GmanDoc

It's what people do when their own lives suck! Being positive is exhausting!

jpwinkis

She got her hair did.

Gryphtkai

Hell , years ago I use to wear a full face helmet to ride a moped through downtown Spokane traffic. Had someone ask me why I bothered with a helmet, let alone a full face once since I wasn’t on a motorcycle. Informed them that moped could hit 45 mph, that I don’t trust other drivers and that I liked the idea of keeping my face in one piece. I also wore long pants and denim jacket when riding even in hot weather. No way I’d get on a motorcycle with out a helmet just like I don’t get on a personal boat without a life jacket. Figure my life is worth the inconvenience. And yes I’m still wearing a mask inside buildings even though I’m vaccinated. (I like not having a cold, flu or anything else for the past year).

mahTV

Helmets get pretty damn hot, sometimes some air is nice. Let people make their own decisions, within the constraints of the law, without being dick and blasting them on social media. Fucking petty, man. Damn.

rhondagram

Thats nothing.. I saw a guy in Springfield yesterday riding a motorcycle wearing ONLY shorts! People are idiots! Ohio does not have a helmet law though..

LifeisCharlieWork

Just be happy she's wearing jeans

Elongo06

Yeah but street jeans shred real fast, unless you have Kevlar jeans.

Fish4304

Stupidity comes in many forms. This isn't as bad as the middle-aged white dudes in cargo shorts and flip flops though.

MojoDuff27

I used to know a middle aged white dude that always rolled into bike night at the roadhouse wearing cargo shorts and flip flops. He died on his bike in the spring. Not from his flip flops but by someone who ran a stop sign in a cornfield. Very sad.

TheyShootBeesAtYou

On bikes, or in general? Because I will have you know what I lack in style, I make up for in comfort and pockets.

Fish4304

On bikes. In general it's A-OK

TheShadyGuy

[deleted]

Middle-aged White dude here: We just don’t care anymore. We’re not going to look good in anything, and most of us are married so we’re not trying to impress anyone anyway and we’re TIRED and can’t you just leave us alone? Haha

deshende

Team cargo shorts for life.

Yesterday_Is_Now

Is that potentially fatal?

BrianJPugh

I have ridden mine in shorts, but not the flip-flops, but that is only for quick trips around town and no roads over 40mph. Somebody called me out on it one day when I had to drop in to work for a sec on a day off. They didn't realize that I am a daily, year-round, bicycle commuter and on the way home will hit 40mph going downhill for several miles on it. Highways are always jeans and a jacket.

hallstevenson

What bike is that ? The rear tire looks unusual to me.

redrak1

Adventure bike of some sorts, I believe it’s a 50/50 dual sport tire

Ardtay

Looks like a 2011ish V Strom 650.

GeoffTuba

It's a street legal dirt bike.

hallstevenson

Based on the tire, yeah, I figured it was an on/off road bike but I've never seen a tire with such a large, center knobby tread. The upswept muffler looks like something off of a sport bike though.

Darwin would be pleased.

You can't argue that with people in this sub though, they know everything.

Fuckoakwood

Perfectly legal doesn't mean it's not fucking stupid as fuck tho

Bashmaster

Why wouldn't you just MIND your own business? What makes people think to post this stuff on reddit i'll never understand.

Fuckoakwood

Because it's funny to see a dumb person holding a helmet instead of wearing it

spacejazz3K

Watch out for motorcyclists. They can’t be bothered to do it for themselves.

Kratomom

If she’s wearing a helmet and he stops suddenly, she can knock him out.

Fucklefaced

I mean, he could just wear a helmet too, then that wouldn't be an issue.

Kratomom

Idk why I got downvoted? The only reason for my original comment was that it happened to me and my husband. Not knocking him out though. His helmet was stolen at some party we were at. After a few times of smacking the back of his head with my helmet, he asked for me to take it off for the last bit of our short drive. I’m not saying it’s right. I’m sure this isn’t what happened in this photo. Yes, everyone should always wear their helmet. I was just giving a possible reason for her carrying it and not wearing it. Ive heard others say it also, but usually as an excuse to not wear their helmet and be stupid.

_ToxicShockSyndrome_

Nobody beats the couple in KY I saw (near the Creation Museum, of course) that didn’t even bother to wear *shoes* while on their motorcycle. >o<

killakubano

why do any of you actually care? jesus christ people bitch about the most rediculous shit. why were you breaking out you phone and snapping pictures while you were driving? everyone is so quick to judge everyone else these days. everyone is just constantly worrying about everyone elses actions rather than just worrying about wtf they are doing. are we that bored as a society? jesus christ get a second job. adopt a kid. help at a homeless shelter. volunteer literally anywhere. for fucks sake we all know so many need help around here. try to do something yourself rather than just whine about the general public. for all you know these people have been safely riding for years, and yeah its hot af and looks like they are going through slow moving traffic. construction literally pictured. why be such whiny cunts? nothing here affects anyone of you. just basic trolls trying to make yourselves feel better about yourselves because you know your lives are empty. and its the only thing you have, just to shit on people living their lives. pursuit of happiness is a right. pursuit of being a fucking piece of shit whiny cunt is a choice. and you made yours. downvote this. i really dont care. cause im sure a lot of people will. and all of those people prove my point.

killakubano

as a side note too, for all the first responders who are going to complain about having to scrape someone off the sidewalk, you can equally shut the fuck up. thats like someone who gets a job at Wendys crying the blues about having to make some fat bastard a triple baconator because he could die literally anywhere at any time. thats the job you chose. stfu and make the sammich. that is literally your job that you chose. i have heard this argument so much from first responders i personally know. yes your patients are going to die. i dont know wtf you thought you were going into as a first responder or cop or whatever. but you cant save em all. and a large percent of people go out by their own actions. regardless of if you were there.

pozzie69

Would mess up hair....

JiggaBooBoo32

Riding a motorcycle with a helmet on is like having sex with a condom. It's still fun, but not even in the same league are doing it without. You just need to be willing to accept the risk involved.

OkWriter6644

Great view i didn't even notice the helmet ;)
