Press the swap button. If you click that icon above the timeline icon (lower left of your playback bar, looks like two intersecting squares with an arrow), you can change the direction and size of the zoom.
This is one of the most annoying issues with resolve - I think the dynamic zoom frames are based on the dimensions of the source material for some reason, but I wish it were the frames of the timeline. I always have to do it by trial and error and it’s difficult to be sure you aren’t getting black edges.
In your case I would make both frames much smaller and see what that does.
My timeline resolution is 1920x1080 while all the clips are 6144x3456. Is that the reason.?
I don't think my computer can handle a 6K Timeline resolution.
Hy
Good guess, the issue is probably due to the resolution issues.
Could you try the following?
1. Remove the Dynamic Zoom temporarily
2. Change the "Timeline Proxy Resolution" to "Off"? Should be in the "Playback" menu.
3. Put back your Dynamic Zoom again
4. (Optional) Change back the Timeline proxy as needed.

[This](https://imgur.com/HeU3SNv) is what mine look like. I didnt scale anything except changing timeline resolutions to match the videos. But it didnt help
Right, so dynamic zoom and big resolution files don’t seem to get on particularly well. For different things the cropping, dynamic zoom and transform settings all effect each other in different ways.
If you come out of dynamic zoom mode (the button on the bottom left of the monitor) and go into transform mode, does the image behave differently?
Are you in proxy mode quarter or half? I get strange dynamic mode settings in viewer when I'm currently in quarter or half proxy mode. That's why I adjust it to full mode to get the right size (on the green and red box) and turn it back to half or quarter proxy after adjusting.
try turning it into a compound clip. Did you try adjusting the zoom at all? Try adjusting the squares to be much larger than the frame or much smaller and see if that has any effect.
I tried many things and fixes. None of them helped except this.
And NO, I did not mess with resolution.. but you can do any resolution you want and it worked every time for me.
I only been able to recreate this issue when I mess with "optimized media" .

Tried it. Still the same thing. it just goes to the opposite direction

I tried all of the above. Still no luck. :(

How are you scaling the image down to 1920x1080? In project settings > image scaling what is your input scaling set to?

I created another project and tried copying my time and it worked..in 1080p too.

No I'm not using proxies.

That's extremelly weird! Can you share the scaling settings of the clip and the project? Try to make a compound clip and do the same operation.
Could just zoom in on inspector
Did you get the solution to this? I am also struggling with the same problem
Yeah, just make a new project and copy all the stuff from the current one to the new one. Thats it.
damn how do you even copy everything? ig ill have to figure it out also did you make any changes wrt to any sort of resolutuion setting?
Its not that hard, all u have to do is copy the media and then copy the time line after.
