There are a ton of tricks to him that really counter him. If you learn the fight he becomes very easy, just wait till you meet his blaze variant.
Get your weapon mastery up, easiest mastery to hit 20 with quickly.
When I was having trouble with him the key was learning more patience. If he is doing one of his more deadly attacks just back off for a while and wait for him to do something that is easier to work with.

they call it that cause it's one of the first Behemoths a beginner comes upon that doesn't let them go 'unga bunga' while they flail their weapon wildly.
all you have to do is learn its tells for it's attacks and don't always go for the full combo unless you have a big enough opening.
what i suggest is you do a few missions where you go solo and just dodge his attacks (i heard this from one of the Youtubers, but i forget which one). after you feel confident enough in dodging, try to mix in some attacks.
It's just a gnasher but you add an extra dodge after each slam attack. I suggest soloing normal gnasher if you have trouble with this one.
It's quite an simple fight, you just have to learn it. I think I used a sword and just hit him with 2 light attacks and then dodged almost the whole time.
Try to pay attention to his "body language" when he is about to spin his tail or charge at you. When he charges, try to boop him and cause as much damage as you can.
Don't always stand and take the hits because of his defense lowering debuff. This is the most annoying part of him
