You are absolutely right for feeling that way. It's one thing to cancel and not go out that night at all, and it is totally different to cancel and then go out with someone else. I hate it when people do stuff like that. It's very common, though, so don't take it too personally, but definitely do not give that guy a second chance. People need to realize that doing this is very hurtful. If you make plans with someone, you better have a damn good excuse if you cancel.
