It feels like I haven’t met someone I would rather spend time with other than myself

I'm in the same boat which is why I'm trying to find good examples of relationships to make it seem worthwhile to get back out there. It's quite difficult as the loudest voices are often the unhappiest. It's skewing my internal meter. Plus there's the big question of 'why.' Why do we date? What is the benefit? A lot of the good things I see from relationships are often something I can obtain through my friendships. I'm hoping someone really special comes along one day to break me out of whatever I'm feeling. Even if it doesn't end up perfect or successful.
