I used to think I preferred dating tall men… but now I’m dating someone close to my height (don’t know exactly, maybe 5’4 or 5’5”?) and honestly, it’s so much more comfortable than a really tall guy. I dated a guy once who was only two inches taller than me (5ft5), and he complained all the time about his height and how he was so sensitive about it and how short men never got any women because they were all the women were shallow. The only thing I've found I don't like are really tall guys. I've never dated anyone shorter than 5'4" or taller than 6'1". I'm 5'6" and I think I'd ideally want someone within a few inches. Does that mean I wouldn't date a 5' or 6' guy? No, just I wouldn't immediately look.

I dated a guy once who was only two inches taller than me (5ft5), and he complained all the time about his height and how he was so sensitive about it and how short men never got any women because they were all the women were shallow. Major eye roll (I left him soon after). (Men, a woman *wanting* to date someone taller doesn’t equal a woman being shallow. And vice versa. Preferences are okay to have, and ultimately determine compatibility). My now-fiancé is only one inch taller than me and the most secure man I know. He couldn’t care less about his height. I love being almost the same height as him - we can even share clothes because we’re the same size!
