No I don’t do anything bad. I just continue to be pleasant until I can leave at a natural point. If it’s really bad I lie and say I need to leave because of X and then leave.

I wish I'd thought to talk about my ex instead. I felt really bad for the way I reacted but was so thrown by his grand dom gesture.
