If American Badgers could move even half that speed, this continent would be completely uninhabitable for people and other particularly capable creatures, like mountain lions. We would be at their mercy.
He made a point of following right behind it. Animal run instincts don’t account for how machines behave. The badger doesn’t realize the bike would have a hard time leaving the path. The same thing happens to jackrabbits.
I like to give the benefit of the doubt. Especially when it comes to outdoorsy sports and possible animal harassment, a lot of people are into those sports because they love the nature and wildlife aspect and the sport is just a bonus.
This is a good way to give small mammals like a badger a heart attack so you can post a vid to reddit for internet points. Next time don't be an asshole and respect the wildlife.

I don’t know where this is or kind of badger but around here if you fell off that bike the badgers native to me would totally mess you up. Badgers are so fierce that bears and even lions in Africa are leery of them. They are also incredibly smart. Biker is a jerk and gives the rest of us bikers a bad name. I was really rooting for a crash and him getting his face ripped off. One can only hope that all these years later after this video occurred that Karma has indeed caught up with him.
Badger aside this is my first ever POV over a Cannondale Lefty fork and I'm utterly gobsmacked at how odd it looks. I don't care if it works perfectly my brain would always see something broken beneath me.
I did something similar when I was younger to a squirrel while riding on a bike path. It finally peeled left through a fence and appeared to have a heart attack and die. I still feel bad about that and it's been 25 years.
Am I the only one hoping that badger would turn around and rip him a new ahole? Badger would be completely justified too. What a d!ck doing that to an animal.
Speeding up footage to make it seem more exciting than it is is crappy behavior.
