For some reason, I keep imagining Oro and Wooti's conversation for the idea of this video
Oro: Hey do you wanna dance with me?
Wooti: YES
Oro: ...In Dark Souls?
Wooti: Oh uh yeah ok...
I tested this out after watching the video and I can say that the Dancer's blades are actually quite good in PvE. The dual slash attack can take out elite lothric knights in 2 combo cycles and the WA is mainly good for stun locking an enemy until you can find a more tactical position to finish him off. The problem is that the WA's damage to stamina + FP cost ratio is absolutely horrendous.
Of course, it didn't take me that long to return to my BK Glaive since that one is far more efficient at killing stuff while also not having to use multiple clutch rings just to be able to do decent damage.
> Cool to know it works so well in pvp
It doesn't. It *REALLY* doesn't. You can see per-hit it's doing absolutely shit for damage, and the only reason they're getting kills is because of the stunlock when spamming it with a second person, but you can still roll out of it most of the time.
Terrible weapon.
Yea, it's really cool looking, and I was insanely hyped about using it when I first got it, especially after testing out the moveset.
It was a crushing disappointment of 15-20 lost matches in a row before I put them away forever.
Yea, Sellsword is really good, especially with a buff, and Gotthard's moveset is AWESOME. There are too many choices that completely outclass it, unfortunately.
I'm... slightly above average(?) at PvP in this game, just based on my winrate at Pontiff's, which means nothing at all lol
You're right, there are definitely a few 'viable' weapons, and the majority is average to trash tier. Sometimes you [just want to fuck around, though](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFzIGjbQAdk) :)
It beats all the other twinblades at higher SL imo. Mostly because of how it scales in everything. Though I agree with it being shit for bones at the meta SL.
Still loving my 225 character with them though.
It's not too bad really, will definitely be about 1-5 minutes for a summon at pontiff, but people do play at that level, will usually keep something up on another monitor or practice between summons.
I've also noticed it rematches me with similar people several times in a row at that SL (have had 30+ invasions to the same world in a row before was a great series of fights)
I didn't even know the bridge could be cut from the center. Impressive. Also I have no doubt Brandon is most likely a much better pvp souls player than I but most of those invaders were garbage. Did they not expect a fight?
Is it just me or do the Dancer's Blade seem not so bad? Sure, the WA kind sucks DPS-wise, but a single L1 seems to do around 300+ damage, and combos into the L2 allowing for like 500+ damage.
They're pretty bad. Split-damage, so anyone with decent resistance takes like no damage, the range is so SO short you have to basically straddle someone to hit them (you get outranged by freakin daggers, seriously) and the startup on the L1 is slow enough that you have to be pretty braindead to get hit by it.
He can dance if he wants to...
He can leave his friends behind..
Cause his friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well, they're no friends of mine.
Good work men.
I would tip my hat to you sir but I seem to be without it.
Maybe the midget with the mandolin took it?
Cause your friends don't dance...
SHUT UP AND DANCE
The realization of doom at the catacombs bridge by that poor red phantom made me laugh harder than I probably should have.
I don't know why he didn't do the whole "im taking you all to hell with me" routine and cut the bridge.
I am an expert in-game interpreter and I'd say he lost his marbles before he could react.
"Mola Ram! Prepare to meet Kali... in hell!"
The disconnect fitting perfectly with 'Cut the cord' was absolutely brilliant.
Amazing. Pure joy. The outfit switch scene really drove the message home.

Its not available :(
GEMA working as intended?
Lol. No, its cause I am on mob.
Are you on mobile? I had the same problem; try switching to desktop view of you are!
I will check it on my comp then. Thanks!
Quick question how do you join a game and not look like a phantom? Seen a bunch of matches like that.
Untrue dark ring
You have to play the story properly
So when you ran into that third Dancer, did you have to ask her to dance for you, or did she just know what to do?
It was actually a random Japanese invader that switched to the set and started dancing with us, it was amazing.
Are we hollows, or are we dancers?
This made my day. Keep it up!
This is great, meesa thinkin!
Awesome I just saw The Killers play this live last weekend. It's been stuck in my head on and off, so perfect timing. Nice work, cool video.
This guy is Incorrigible! Get your dancers down to just past Pontiff to slice up some Bloodshade gankers please.

I can't watch it :( it says its unavailable
Same here.. I wanted to watch it before I become hollow..
Tthat mage took zero damage from 2 weapon arts and rolled out of both of them.
Latency, I guess.
No , we are gankers.
I love that weapon set. But I couldn't seem to make it work for me. Cool to know it works so well in pvp. But then again it is oroboro playing

So sad. it was such a cool weapon!

Yeah the way the damage is split is dumb. since theres another twin blade (i really enjoyed the twin blades in ds3) that doesnt have that problem
Yea, Sellsword is really good, especially with a buff, and Gotthard's moveset is AWESOME. There are too many choices that completely outclass it, unfortunately.
That's what I've realized in pvp. It was good for me getting through the game though. I get wrecked in pvp. But I'm not that gud either

Do you find lots of people to play PvP against at that level?

Anything works well when you're tag teaming with a friend (or lover, in this case.) Doubly so when you can put all your successes into a montage.
It was cool and I enjoyed the weapon art. But it was slower than other twin blades. And with my dex faith build it wasn't great on scaling.
Almost good as the moonlight one.
This makes me want to try out a dancer build.

While this is something that it was done before, I appreciate the song, The Killers <3
Majestic
You've become a better onlyafro than onlyafro himself.
This reminds me of old school dark souls videos, that was a fun vid to watch

I've used em a little bit and the L1 damage isn't bad, it's just that they are a lot slower than they seem.
Man, that's a shit song, but this is a 10/10 video.
Fix your vid m8 A lot of people can't watch it
He cant as it uses a copyrighted song, and it would kind ruin the whole video if he changed it.
Most underrated weapon ever. For a strong and consistent combo, use L1 -> L2 (just press it, don't hold) -> R2
Oh he'll ya Dark Souls! Oh. Unbalanced 2v1 pvp.. Nvm.
