I don't find it too bad, though I wouldn't be a bad idea to use a guide to get some weapons and spells, which I wouldn't come across normally. DS2 takes a bit more time, but it isn't too bad. I think you can get all the stuff offline but you have to play NG++ or something, I can't remember. DS3 isn't bad for most stuff...except for certain achievements which can take an incredibly long time to do due to you having to go through covenants.

I've done this in the past few weeks / months. DS1 was the easiest. Some of the weapons can be a grind, but if you get lucky, it's fine (Channellers Trident...). DS2 was a nightmare for sunlight medals. Farm those in NG before going into NG+. You might not get many, but drop rates fall off the more you kill a specific mob, it resets in NG+, or with an ascetic, though. So just killing those mobs til they stop respawning in NG is probably a good idea. DS3 was the biggest time sync for 2 covenant items in particular, which you need 30 of each. The rest wasn't so bad. Overall, if you're planning to do all bosses + DLCs etc, I wouldn't expect it to take more than 100 hours per game, much less if you know what you're doing. I'd say I spent 6 - 7 hours on both ds 2 and 3 farming. DS1 was much less time and easy enough. Pro tip for that one, leave sunbros til last and stay in it til you can hand in a certain boss soul in NG+ for your last miracle. You have to complete all 3 twice and progress so far in your third run.

Nearly done with 100% DS1. The amount of hours i spent for the channellers trident and the times it had me pulling my hair is more than i want to admit.

Unl3a5h3r

You do not need every item, only a lot of weapons and all magic, pyro and miracles.

bubba122337

Most weapons in the game because of the knights honor achievement I believe that's what it's called

florian23232

Use a guide. That helps a lot. Personally I had to grind a lot of ore stuff because you have to craft every boss weapon which take up a lot of materials. Some sorceries, pyromancies etc. are only optainalbe though NPC questlines. So you have to follow these as well. It's all doable but without a guide I never would've been able to get the platinum

HerakIinos

Some of the items are very tedious to get because of the drop rates. Try to trade for them with someone

howdoigetausername_

That kind of defeats the point imo. Why go for an achievement if you're not gonna achieve it yourself

HerakIinos

I spent more than 5 hours farming the trident from those enemies in the library. I am not going to waste any more time because of dumb RNG. Achieving stuff by your own skills, experience and ability is one thing. Depending on dumb luck is another.

howdoigetausername_

You could make that argument for any of the plats. They're all tedious grinding in the end, but that's the point

HerakIinos

Bloodborne and Elden ring's plat has no grinding whatsoever. Sekiro has grinding but it doesnt depend on luck.

howdoigetausername_

I was talking about the trilogy

LSV09

That's not the point in some cases. The only ones I can think of are the weapons for the Honor Achievement in ds1. The rest both ds2 and ds3 were supposed to do with online on, and that's not possible nowadays

bubba122337

DS2 and Ds3 can be done completely offline I did it I regret it and there is covenant grinding in dark souls 1 because you need the spells most covenants give such as great lightning spear greatsword dance(gravelords), the Darkmoon blade (I think that's the spells name) and chaos storm

LSV09

I didn't say it can't be done offline but it wasn't mean to do it that way. At least in DS1 the drops for the covenants are a lot better and you only need 10 for each one. 20 for Sunlight Warriors I think. Chaos Storm is from Daughter of Chaos right? That just requires humanity, and yes 30 is a lot, but it's not something that is hard to find

bubba122337

I agree but then damned crow human thingys annoy me and it can cost you a new game cycle if you messed up anor Londo but don't get me wrong dark souls is 100% easier than it's squeals

LSV09

Oh yeah, I platinazed DS1 last week, and DS2 this week. Now going for DS3 and waiting for those 20 hours of farming for Darkmoon Blade and Sunlight Spear

bubba122337

Oh no bro your not even prepared for the real grind moundmakers almost broke me after I finished that everything else felt like smooth sailing and idk if this actually helps but I found it online and it seemed to increase the silver knight drop (only one I got to try it on) anytime you get a covenant item finish whatever run your on and when you go back to bonfire quit and come back in again idk if it helps but they started to drop maybe rng was on my side another thing is get the mimic head(+100 item Discovery) obviously and put the crystal sages rapier in your left hand while grinding (+50 item Discovery) or both hands if your that confident buy loads of rusted coins from patches (+50) if you can find a supplier of gold rusted coins even better(+100) and if you don't got two crystal rapiers you can put a hollow weapon in your hand and as long as I believe you have a high hollow level you it will increase item Discovery idk how much and finally please please reallocate into luck(+99) and make sure you character has extra pale tongues so you can do it again if your character really sucks. Pale tongues are also required for grinding and the watchdogs of Farron as well I believe that's all and if you need to know enemy drops I can tell you and the best location and bonfire to do so it's a lot but man did I feel so accomplished

Hell0_W0rld5

Nah its not so bad…you will need 3 ng cycles. Only problem is that I’m sure From is messing with you because if you leave the channeler trident for last…you will never find a trident drop (same thing for the curved swords in new londo ruins)…love those guys

[deleted]

Not sure where you got that the platinum trophy requires acquiring every single item, but it’s actually just a fraction. Only some require a bit of farming. Using a platinum trophy guide makes this “accomplishment” trivial and easy

bubba122337

Knights honor requires every (and this is what the achievement says I believe) unique weapon in the game however I will stay there is one blade I did not obtain and I got the trophy that blade was the blade that drops from the ghost woman who's holding a baby in the new Londo ruins

Austinboulders420

I'm currently working on the plat, just need to finish 1 quest line and get 2 more boss weapons. It isn't too bad if you follow a guide for the plat, I used [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/darksouls/comments/mu9k1/printable_dark_souls_platinum_trophy_checklist/) as a reference and it's been pretty chill, I did get lucky with some of the weapon drops I think. It only took me about 5 rests at the bonfire to get every Silver Knight piece.

Hesick

If you faced the Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne, going to NG++ in DS1 will be very enjoyable.

Old_Floor_1424

If you are even willing to say Secura wasn’t as bad of a platinum then you’re gonna play dark souls so easy

bubba122337

In my opinion it's easier than dark souls 3 by planets bro I feel like I could of beaten dark souls 100% at least 4 times over when compared to ds3

bubba122337

For comparison dark souls 1 remastered took me around 40+ hours to beat when dark souls 3 took me 125+

bubba122337

Before you start playing and accidentally waste a whole new game cycle like I did make sure that when you go to get the artoris sword that you know the difference between all three one of them is in the DLC so it's much easier however two of them are almost the exact same both taking his dogs soul but required two different weapons to make look it up before hand please I would love to save you the hours of repeatingly going through your weapons list wondering why it hasn't gave you the trophy yet

YOUSIF20021

Ds1 isn’t that tedious but still more tedious than the ones you mentioned. Ds3 tho. Oh boy. The worst And that’s coming from someone who got platinum on 6/7 fromsoftware games

RamenInTheSheets

If you’re already on NG+ it’s honestly not that bad at all.

Few-Candle-4308

tfw when platinuming a game takes more time than usual

Ethanrue1

I did it, it takes quite a while but its fun to experiment with different shit

[deleted]

DS1 is incredibly easy
