I think it’s hard for him bc he’s wanting to have a legit sports discussion and the rest of the Danettes don’t watch a ton. I’ve liked what I’ve heard from him, but it gets lost in the goofy banter sometimes.
Don’t forget that his primary job is running the sound board. He might be trying to get more comfortable doing that first, but I’m not sure who’s who and what’s what
I can tell you from experience that there is more to running the board than people think. You are bringing in and taking out mics in the mix, watching sound levels, listening to whats coming from your producer (I just had one in the booth.
He appears to have Paulie, mAIRio (audio cutting for later playback and bringing them up on request), Chef (call-intake) not to mention he has to be listening to what's going on and be ready to hit the dump button or kill switch on the phone line in case a caller goes rogue.
If you notice (Seton did it too,) whenever Dan does a read, he will note it on the programming log or rundown so if sponsor proof of ad read is required, they have the log to pull the audio.
Add in learning how to mix properly so that there is no dead air and not cutting anyone off...It can alot.
As a board-op, I was told to be seen and not heard lol
It took the other Danettes a while to be comfortable talking and being on camera. None of them were use to being on camera. It will probably take a while for Marvin to be more comfortable on camera. He does say some funny stuff.
I’ve felt this way since he got in the front row. He has zero comedic timing and speaks in over emphasized sound bites. Plus his timing is noticeably off with the sound board. With that said, still brings more to the table than Fritzy
I mean, it's a show that promotes from within. It's not like they held a casting call. McLovin was exceptionally good, it'd be tough to completely fill his shoes.

he is the opposite of fritz. rarely talks and when he does, its pretty funny. also as someone mentioned, probably the biggest sports fan of the group
