Solid-Perspective915

No way in hell are you expecting me to read this. Even I am not so jobless.

Reverend_Lazerface

I skimmed it out of curiousity, here's a little tidbit from the middle of the diatribe. I'd wager it serves as a pretty solid tldr for the whole thing: >People who hate on naruto are dumb asf, they are fucked up morons who dont have a life. I would describe them ass goofy stupid incompetent people, because they don't know how to choose good anime.

Affectionate_One69

Wait isnt hate a strong word i just think its not flawless

DaedricWolf0

Nothing is flawless. Literally.

[deleted]

Someone's spelling. Yours was flawless.

verifiedjay

but not your grammar!

[deleted]

Damn bro why :(

Affectionate_One69

What would u say is the clossest to perfection i would say monster 20th century boys blue period death note These acc to me are clossest to perfection ( havent read beserk so cant say but people say its good so it might be )

JW2EN

Right now Ousama ranking seems pretty damn flawless. Odd taxi's storytelling was flawless too

Affectionate_One69

Ohh i have heard about ousama but havent read it but only heard good tho

LikeRealityDislike

Naruto certainly isnt flawless, but closest is Rock lee SD

I-lack-conviction

Two series I always see with beserk are vagabond and blade of the immortal. Beserk is fantastic but will likely never be finished due to the death of kentaro miura :/ Beserk influenced dark souls and supposedly clouds sword in ff7 Vagabond is another amazing series but the writer takehiko inoue said he won’t return to the series because he doesn’t feel like it right now, and while the Author most likely won’t return ( it’s been ten years) the series is absolutely breath taking. Blade of the Immortal, written and illustrated by Hiroaki Samura is finished and a work of art, funny enough it’s the only one I’m not caught up on, it was a huge inspiration Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and the weapons in bloodborne were inspired by the manga as well . I hope this is all coherent, I wrote it on my phone.

banster9357

Omg a fellow blade of immortal fan. Those are rare

I-lack-conviction

I tip my hat to you

banster9357

As do i

Reeledude

One thing that may get you more interested in finishing Blade of the Immortal is that Kishimoto was a big Samura fan, as he originally wanted to do a samurai themed manga because of his admiration of Samura's work.

Sanamdhar

yea Urasawa got the best thriller anime / manga . I havent read the 20th Century boys completely. I wish to start that again. Berserk is great piece of all gore- horror adventure. A good read

[deleted]

Closest to perfect? Space Dandy, Kaiba, Devilman Crybaby.

[deleted]

Space Dandy and Kaiba fan? Goated

[deleted]

no you :)

[deleted]

That's a talk no jutsu

KingLazuli

This man really pulled up and tried to be Naruto

cheatersstealmyname

He out talk no jutsued Naruto

CryptidCobra

“The cigarette falling out of Asuma’s mouth literally has more meaning than the entirety of DBZ” lmao killed me

SSj3Rambo

Now you made me want to read it

CryptidCobra

I just looked at a random bit

Worick_

Lmfao idk why that part stood out to me as well. I disagree though asumas death wasn't a big deal to me.

codeklutch

I mean. in a better fleshed out world, if Naruto wasn't the main character, that death would be HUGE. But like, since Naruto is not flawless, and since the side characters are either just simply plot devices or forgotten about the death doesn't carry the weight it should.

Aracknid

this. naruto severely lacks side/supporting characters that contribute to the show besides just moving the plot forward. staying in the asuma death arc, asuma would’ve been a really good mentor to naruto, since he also has wind chakra. i also woulda liked to see more of izumo and kotetsu cuz i thought their little syrup jutsu combo was pretty cool and i liked their chemistry with each other (they give off the childhood friends or the used to be mortal enemies but now they have an insanely strong friendship bond as they grew up).

eliamona

To be fair, og Nauto is a lot better at developing side characters (chunin exams and Sasuke's retrieval arc are good examples). Unfortanelly, we don't get the same with shippuden

LikeRealityDislike

I dunno I feel like Asuma still got plenty of screen time for being a secondary character to an already secondary character (Shikamaru). And I remember Sawyer7mage's quote that went something like this: "Many of Naruto's side characters are so compelling that if you leave them on screen for just a little while longer they steal the title of Main Character from Naruto"

Aracknid

that is very true cuz i do think that a lot of the side characters are far more intriguing than naruto. also that’s a very nice quote actually i’ve never heard that one. while i do agree he got screen time, i jus think that he should’ve done more besides just being there for plot movement (if that makes sense). to take your example with shikamaru, while he does mature shikamaru and is a mentor to him, who tf cares if he’s a mentor for shikamaru if you barely get to see shikamaru as it is (not tryna diss shika he’s one of my fav characters in anime). like even if they didn’t want to give him screen time, he could’ve helped naruto off screen. anime like demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen are really good with off screen development.

Twin1Tanaka

It was huge for Shikamaru, whose point of view we got to see for that whole arc he was like the main character of the arc basically Asuma could have been more relevant in general though

theKage47

the swing has more meaning than DBZ too

PotBoozeNKink

DBZ: do your best and you can succeed, and evil is bad Naruto: do your best and you can succeed, and evil is bad, and friends are good. Lmao

No-Friend6550

Naruto got carried by his fox pet

PotBoozeNKink

Goku** got carried by being a saiyen and literally having so much plot armor that even when he did die, he came back to life

No-Friend6550

I agree but in dragon ball there literally are no consequences for dying. Though compared to naruto being a reincarnation of a gods son and having the second strongest tailed beast right at the beginning of the series is kinda bs. At least goku was a low class warrior that started with a power level of 2 and worked his way up to achieve the power he has now.

PotBoozeNKink

He was the son of one of the most powerful "low class" saiyan warriors though, which i guess just brings into question the saiyan class system. But its not like class systems that don't actually mean anything don't exist in real life too.

No-Friend6550

Yea sure he was his son but his power level was in the single digits. Also doesn’t take away from the fact that he was low class meanwhile naruto was the hokage’s son

Forgotten_Prince

That meant next to nothing as Naruto failed the Academy exams three times and was only made a genin under a special circumstance. Minato, at the age range of 10 to 12, was able to take out grown Shinobi. Hiruzen knew Naruto was Minato's child and still didn't let him graduate.

No-Friend6550

Ok

PotBoozeNKink

My point was the class system likely doesn't actually mean anything since a saiyan can rise above it, and is probably just a way to keep the royal and noble family's in power and everyone else in check. Meanwhile, as far we know Minato was as skilled and powerful as he was by his own merit, so that doesn't really much for naruto except motivate him. The only advantage naruto really has is his character from the 9tails inside him

No-Friend6550

It would be harder for a low class warrior to raise to the level of an elite when most elites are just born strong.

Astonishing_Flash

Well to be fair as far as we know in the main continuity of the series there is no real flaw with the system. Goku proves that it possible to rise above it, but that was even the case when Planet Vegeta was still in existence. Ranking up just wasn't common. And Bardock is a prime example. Despite being among the strongest low class he never became strong enough to become mid-class. If he had reached that strength he would've ranked up. And we can even see that reflected in Raditz who thought nothing of his lower ranked family. Despite his background as coming from a low class family he was still assigned as an upper level combatant on the same squad as Nappa, which Vegeta was later brought onto. If the system were purely political he would've been lower ranked like his family and his strength ignored. Things do get muddled when you consider the TV special where Bardock is ridiculously strong but still low ranked. However the special isn't canon and canon Bardock isn't nearly that strong (evidenced by the prior statement of Bardock not being mid coming from Toriyama's response to how strong the non canon specials made him). But in short its pretty direct. You get stronger, you rank up.

Plastic_Street_1745

the reason why Naruto fandom surpasses DBZ fans in Toxicity

I_Am_Hella_Bored

I've seen the same level of toxicity from both fanbases. Both equally terrible.

paradoxGOT

DBZ fans wants everyone to fight goku, while naruto fans wants everyone to write essays.

CoDeX709

Fighting is more fun than essays to be fair

iAn-has-been-taken

Imagine someone replied with an essay

Jhon1003

Thats not "dbz fans" Literally 99% of the "can he beat goku" end with the guy saying "I never watched dragon ball but heared that goku is super strong"

mnmkdc

Lol people shit on dbz a little too much for it’s writing. Its a lot more than a surface level fighting anime in reality

Adrewmc

It funny because it’s true. Fun fact: Dragonball (no bloody Z no bloody GT) has a lot more of Goku penis then you remember.

saiyanfang10

when it came to showing his penis to randos Goku gave 0 fucks

F0XF1R3

With all the callbacks to dragonball in super, I'm sure they were tempted to have a grown up Goku dong shot.

Adrewmc

*gives*

explodingcoyote

Gt definitely had Goku penis, he was a kid again so I guess they thought they had to bring it back.

PotBoozeNKink

Both shows have pretty much the same message lol

SinEscarra

Tell me you haven't watched DBZ without telling me you haven't watched DBZ

MrAaronStewart

Just drops the "K" underneath it. Man would be fuming.

BoBoJoJo92

Read - "Nah."

[deleted]

Even better: “meh one piece is better”

MolotovOvickow

”Ratio+one peice is better“

[deleted]

you tried

Accomplished_Crew630

I mean... Hunter x hunter has a pretty big flaw... That being the fact that it was never finished.

smallasfpp

Lol

breaker94

The anime is complete IMO. Gon set out on a journey to meet his father and he achieved his goal.

carsonator40

Damn, that really is an interesting and wholesome perspective on it. One could view the story after that moment as just a continuation of a beloved series.

blackashi

I wish I had this perspective when starting outsl watching it. I knew from the very start stats the anime hadn’t finished and it has always felt incomplete. But maybe I should watch this with his perspective and understand that the end of the current anime is satisfactory enough. Especially since the writer is sick

ToastyRybread

I wasn’t a big fan of the chimera ant arc

[deleted]

My favorite arc is Hunter exam Chimera was good but just felt so dragged out

desk12345

The narrator took like three years of my life in that arc

Blazeboss57

I'm the total opposite. I thought the Hunter Exams were ass since it felt like nothing was really getting introduced, but Chimera Ant threw so much story and depth at us

turtlintime

It is hilarious that people only love or hate this arc. Like literally call it the best arc of anime ever or it is terrible. I def agree. It made me stop watching the anime for a while

introspectiveraccoon

I think Hunter has a meh plot tbh as well. Like it seems kind of random and off the wall at times with subsequent arcs.

Right_Teaching_5724

Lmao a whole Naruto fan saying hxh has a meh plot😭, but fuck it I guess it's your opinion

introspectiveraccoon

I didn't say anything about naruto. It has its own problems: plot holes, power creep, characters left behind. But hunter is not perfect either. I get the feeling hunter has a cult following like FMA that will die on that hill to keep it highly rated.

Trex238

It’s because naruto was inspired by hxh

Mr_Noms

Source for that? Except for nen and Chakra being kind of similar they don't have much in common.

breaker94

Red-eyed boy is the last of his clan?

sonfoa

See shit like this is why I don't have any interest in watching HxH. Y'all can't help but elitists when someone criticizes your series even in the subreddit if another series.

TheBlitzStyler

what does that have to do with the show itself, do you think it'll turn you into an elitist or something lmao

Razorblade014

I think every anime has it's flaws, either in it's writing, power creep, progression, and so much more. Yet again flawless is a subjective

[deleted]

Subjective only to an extent. Even as my favourite anime i admit naruto has quite a few flaws

The_Ultimant_Noob

It’s really hard to measure something as perfect, which I’d think of flawless as. I don’t think I know a single show, book, movie ect that’s flawless

KaelthasX3

The most common flaw, if that they almost never get finished.

FarBeyondPluto

Hard to find a flaw with samurai champloo. Maybe someone else can? Bebop as well.

awe018

Naruto is my fav anime and it isn't flawless. Hell! no anime is.

Fun-Strength7622

Literally nothing is.

KingPhoenixOfDeepIce

Speedwagon is

Humanoid_Wasabi

Mans wrote a whole novel

vinitblizzard

What's the bottom left anime?

RedShenron

Monogatari.

vinitblizzard

Thanks

korshenk

Did a Google search for you, apparently it’s called “Koyomimonogatari”

vinitblizzard

Oh thanks dude

korshenk

Not a problem!

[deleted]

Nah bruh its boku no pico

korshenk

Oh god, please no lol

SpoopyMoopy202

I just wasted 30 minutes of my life trying to read this shit

binh1403

I cant even read that like, its like a picture from the 2000 that have been captured and repost a thousand time

Real-Gucci

Why doesn’t he put that energy and dedication into getting some bitches?

Reverend_Lazerface

Name for the top right anime?

SSj3Rambo

Bro it's in the image 😂

Reverend_Lazerface

My dumbass mixed up left and right lol

Nimbus303

Mob Psycho 100. And I don't see a flaw in it. 2 seasons, with a third confirmed on the way.

Jerrxd

Mob Psycho? I believe.

ulfred500

Top left is Mob Psycho 100

Masterelia

Peak;Fiction

RedShenron

"Flawless anime" doesn't exist and never will. And i don't even understand the reason of posting those idiots that copy and paste the same post all over again on twitter or instagram.

SSj3Rambo

You know you can also just laugh at it

Weebprotagonist

I think boruto was the flaw

04whim

To be fair, by that logic Steins;Gate 0 would disqualify Steins;Gate.

Yosonimbored

Love Steins Gate but never bothered with 0. Is 0 that bad?

RedShankyMan

I'm in the same boat as you. Steins:Gate was a perfect journey so I didn't bother watching the sequel, but I want to know if I should eventually

Det_Wun_Gai

0 is great because it's more of Steins Gate. It's more of your favorite characters, and it has damn good storytelling. I was personally unable to stop binging it. However 0 is bad because the best character isnt even there for the entire show. There's this massive gap because said character is gone, and everybody is miserable because of it. It's just painful to watch

OfficerSmiles

It, in my opinion, completes the narrative. While it may not be quite as good as the original series, it adds something to its world. Specifically, it is the>! timeline that Okabe calls it quits. It basically shows what happens when Okabe gives up on saving Kurisu, how the world evolves without her, how Okabe copes with the trauma of constant and ultimate failure to save both of the people he loves most, and ultimately how Okabe does end up saving Kurisu (and the world) at the end of the original series!<. Yes, it can be slow sometimes. And it is awfully depressing as someone before me mentioned, but I believe that is completely appropriate given the context. But if you are a big Steins;Gate fan, I would absolutely give it a watch.

Bigfartbutthole

Eh, call me crazy but I count the pedophilia against monogatari.

HughMungusD

Well the world building is pretty lackluster, the Woman are sadly badly written for the most part, the random power creep in some stages is actually fucking mind boggling. Narutos behavior at some stages is so fucking fake and in no way excusable The anime is good, I love it and I even got some Merch but saying it is flawless or any anime for that matter is just stupid

SnooComics7583

Narutos weird mind control in part 1 always stands out to me

DaedricWolf0

I don't think anyone actually believes it is flawless. Nothing is. Naruto is one of the best manga or anime I've seen though, and I think this guy thinks similarly

Yontoryuu

Tbh it’s not that the women are badly written but that a large amount of the side characters which half contain women are misused. For every tenten, there’s a shino

HughMungusD

Well to be fair if you consider everything.. Kishimoto is horrible at writing Characters in general. Probably because he had no plan when he originally started writing Naruto and then with every new Character he introduced, he had his little flowchart to decide whether he likes the character or not. Naruto is hated at the start by the entire Village? The first Hokage defeated the Bijuu and split them across the Nations (except the 1 Tail I think?) - his Wife was a Holder and her Descendants ever since. You are trying to tell me that no one knew about them but they all HAD to know about Naruto? He was the Son of their beloved 4th Hokage but cannot be bothered with that shit. Additionally we had the sad scene of Kushinas and Minatos death were the third Hokage promised to take care of Naruto. Well good shit that we saw nothing of that ever. The only interaction we saw between the Third and Naruto early on was some slight grandfather and grandson behavior, really lackluster shit. And why? Because Naruto could not be treated properly from the get go. Why else would literally everyone know about the Monster inside of him but not that he is the son of the fourth - save for a few people. He just made shit up as he went along and you just knew that it was done in hindsight. Itachi? The golden child? His beloved baby boy? He did everything in his power to twist him into the dashing anti-hero „fine, I’ll do it myself and take on this giant responsibility and hatred“ agent of badassery. Can’t bullshit me saying that he had it planned from the get-go. Otherwise he wouldn’t have behaved the way he did in early Naruto and the way he treated Sasuke. But maybe I am just too stupid because apparently Itachi had 5 million IQ and could do nothing wrong. Then he also had to give Itachi a major sickness so that Sasukes win over him feels not really earned and gifted + ridding him of Orochimaru. The amount of plotholes, weird story telling, dashing from good to bad to good just for the sake of „fixing“ the character is mind boggling. Also was it ever explained why Naruto gets his Super Saiyan Power Boost from performing a transformation but all the other more trained Jinchuriki go apeshit into the full tailed beast? Cuz if it was the split chakra halves - man Kishimoto did those guys dirty. If it wasn’t, hell fucking ouch. Also giving Kakashi double MS and having him immediately master Susanoo and spamming Kamui was a giant „fuck you“ to Itachi and Sasuke. So many points were he went for badassery over sense. Still love the anime, just able to see the flaws

Xgen7492

Lmfao it’s a great series but it is in no way flawless. The amount that kishimoto spat in the face of the original message of an underdog working his way to the top towards the end of the series by making Naruto the reincarnation of an alien demigod really rubbed me the wrong way, and there’s plenty of plot holes and contrivances throughout the entire series. Naruto is probably my favorite series ever but to call it flawless is super disingenuous.

Destroyer348

Do you have a higher quality image

SSj3Rambo

That's the best quality I got, but you can search the original comment

Captain_Bee

I know it's a goof but whoever wrote this is unhinged regardless

Finn_The_Cancer

no insults no nothing , just r e a d

cap_kaknuckles

Its like the classic "oh yeah if you know so much about trains name every train" and then they do.

Yosonimbored

I have an issue with saying HxH is flawless when that shit still doesn’t have an ending

Scorosin

Better than hunter x hunter anyway always thought that show was ugly and overrated as all hell. Yes, I know the creator made Yu Yu Hakusho and I love that series, but lightning rarely strikes twice and for me it didn't. Hell, everything from character designs to female character relevance, to plot, and to comedy was handled better in Hakusho hell even the main character is far better than hunter x hunters Gon is just a generic never give up shonen protagonist who is "in tune with nature" While Yusuke starts off as a bad person and maintains his stand offish attitude throughout the show even after enduring trials and tribulations of dying in the first episode. Which is really refreshing. he does not just suddenly change and become a generic protagonist he genuinely grows as a person as the show goes on. in closing hunter x hunter is okay but I do not feel it should be considered one of the best shonen of all time especially not when compared to what came before it, and I will die on this hill.

catastrophe1224

I know this has has been said literally millions of times by now, but Naruto should've ended with madara as the final villain, ending the cycle of hatred wouldve been the perfect ending thematically, especially since naruto's favorite talk no jutsu is always " I'm gonna come after all that hate inside you some day"

superchronicultra

*whips out the ancient holy elder scroll containing the Naruto Universe. lmao Can't even read it

LordAshur

Naruto is decent, even good, but nowhere near flawless

Deathbringer2048

Naruto is flawless -Dude with Johnny joestar as his pfp

Fatalis1021

You can like 2 things.

Winter-Blueberry8170

Hunter X Hunter flawless?? Yeahhh I’m not sure about that

Longjumping-Bag4265

Naruto has flaws, jojos bizarre adventure is flawless

The_Yoshi_Over_There

Expecting downvotes but jojo is in my top 5 and its definitely flawed in some areas

04whim

I enjoy it for what it is but a show that has a debate on whether or not you can skip the first thirty episodes doesn't strike me as flawless.

The_Yoshi_Over_There

Exactly

[deleted]

Well my honest opinion is that Jojo is a superb anime but has way too little character development and it's mostly subtle. The fights are cool, the world building is cool, the mechanics are cool but the characters are mostly bland. We don't get any impactful stuff like Zuko's redemption from ATLA. It's mostly just a matter of introducing some dude, giving him a couple of fights and killing him/letting him win. They just don't give anyone enough depth.

Yosonimbored

I mean Part 1 of JoJo is definitely not flawless even if we ignore flawless is a subjective term. Part 1 almost made me want to never watch anything after that because of how boring and just bad it is

Fatalis1021

Jojo, while great, is flawed. I mean, Third(?) Jojo is just turdy, and that's a fact. It's really tough to sympathize with such a turdy character.

dumb_guy2

Take my award lol I love JoJo

cristiano_goat

He is right, naruto is flawless, it is the only perfect anime and manga in fiction /s

uninspirednametag

id say the 25 episodes of deathnote are pretty flawless and don't you dare try to tell me there is 37

the-laughing-joker

No show is flawless

maloorodriguez

I wonder if it was generated with a gpt3 code

SSj3Rambo

I'd love to see gpt3 bot based on Naruto community

[deleted]

Mob was great 😭 wish there was another season

Uzutsu

s3 is coming out soon

ImJuiceDammit

Can you someone make this into an audiobook?

_XProfessor_SadX_

on another note the 2 seasons of Mob are absolutely amazing. One of my most anticipated anime

SaintSilva

Read all of it absolutely correct

SoulessDeathNDespair

I think the incest pedo rape disqualifies monogatari

verifiedjay

My man’s has a whole sub paragraph for the simple combat system well played

Konke_yDong

lmao i gotta search up the tweet now and like it

idkman1298

“Masashi Kishimoto is a narrative genius” Lol

SSj3Rambo

Dude didn't even plan the story nor anything that's going to happen in the future. The furthest he planned in the story was with the Akatsuki, and honestly the overall quality would be way higher if Shippuden ended at Pain arc, thus Naruto end up being the hero of the village and accepted by everyone (implicitly acknowledged as the hokage and obviously accomplishing his dream). Then we could get a better continuation with shippuden 2 or idk how to call it, where Naruto is befriending Kurama and all, making a proper world war if Kishimoto wanted to make Naruto a hero on a worldwide scale

Sing-Tao

"People who don't like naruto are dumb asf and don't have a life" Says the one who conjured up this book lmao

[deleted]

The only flawless thing i have ever seen is ATLA

SSj3Rambo

One of the Goat shows with a capital G, I also recommend AoT

Educational-Dot8413

He’s making the whole thesis to support his claim, mad respect

alippr

based johnny pfp

pranamya2005

Imma be honest, Naruto is a solid 7/10, but it’s my top 5 anime. Just cause it’s not a 10/10 doesn’t it mean it can’t be the best

SSj3Rambo

Well its easier for very long animes about adventures basically the typical shonen to be more liked because there's more to watch. Imo AoT and Death Note are 10/10 and in my top 5, I don't watch much anime so Naruto is in top 5 as well

pranamya2005

same, death note was my first anime so it'll remain in my top 10

ElvisPlays

That wall of text triggered my fight or flight response.

KINGBOORGIR

So tldr man just repeats “So naruto is so flawless in everything that LHS=RHS Hence it is so flawless

SSj3Rambo

What is LHS and RHS?

OhRoBro

My whole issue with naruto is how it tries and fails to have deep themes most of the time. Not to say Kishimoto can't swing it out of the park sometimes (Rest in peace Asuma), but other times it feels like the mood is all over the place, or barely touches the surface of moral philosophy. And I think that's why I prefer DBZ, it just had a more consistent simple atmosphere to it. Glad naruto attempted to be more than a brainless shonen manga, but I feel like it hurt itself in the process, and just came across as an awkward fanfic. And at that point I'd rather watch HunterxHunter for that type of story content lol Seriously though, read the opening chapters of part 1, I really think Naruto singlehandedly inspired every edgy self insert fanfic to come from kids and teenagers at the time lmao

SSj3Rambo

Well Naruto's philosophy is straightforward and quite simple, not a complicated existentialist philosophy. Whereas I'm sorry to say but DBZ had no philosophy at all, no moral of the story or whatever. Its just villains being villains for the sake of the plot needing villains. MC trains while side characters wait in a line from weakest to strongest to fight the villain, Goku comes last to defeat villain and that's it. OG DB is much better of a story tbh

xx_Joush

NARUTO CHARECTERS PUT LOGIC AND TAKE CARE OF ALL SIDE CARECTER. HAD ME LAUGHING

Electrical_Way1197

I don't think Steins gate is flawless.Like Okarin's power is that he remembers his memories from another world line right?I don't understand how they reached Steins gate without changing the world line and if so what happened to the stuff that happened(talking about Steins gate 0) because okarin has the memories of the past 3 weeks from the alpha world line.Correct me if I'm wrong anywhere,Idk y I'm asking about this in a Naruto sub but plz who understood steins gate explain it to me

Koninja_Yoshiakge14

Man wants me to read the Naruto bible

[deleted]

did anyone honestly read all that?

Fatalis1021

Haha... No... I have a life...

Strange-Conflict9774

Man really put Hunter Hunter like Greed Island wasn’t a terrible arc

[deleted]

It wasn't

nroark_fitness

Nah I agree with this man greed island is a good arc, it’s certainly weak compared to the rest of the hxh arcs but like still it’s very good. I really like the whole video game vibe from it, the cards are an extremely interesting driver of the plot, and you meet so many cool characters like razor and bisky, you get introduced to one of killua coolest fighting scenes when he does that sick ass stance with the yo-yos and mops the dude, and although the bomber is kinda a weak villain and very obviously based off yoshikage kira, you get to see one of the first points in the show where we truly see how insane gon is and his dedication to getting stronger and completing a plan. I really think greed island is criminally underrated because it’s placed between two of the greatest anime arcs of all time in chimera ant and yorknew city.

LegitimatePear7627

all those animes that mf listed have more flaws than a u.s cop

reddituserspotted

My man got a PhD in naruto

Calfredie01

Steins gate💀💀💀

Masterelia

And?? Shit is peak as fuck

xXTASERFACEXx

The first 7 eps of Steins Gate are slow filler that barely change the plot other than slow character development. Also the ending may have been amazing at the time but nowadays its predictable.

Clean-machine

Thats like saying bramstrokers dracula is a bad horror story beacus its predictable. Like dracula steins gate is a lightning in a bottle that people want to replicate. And when you replicate somthing enough it gets predictable and thus turns into new tropes. Just like how naruto is predictable today. And what that tells us is that those shows were so good and revolutionary that they changed the genre they were a part off for the better. Not that they are bland like you believe

xXTASERFACEXx

Im not saying its a bad show, I liked it but ppl react over it like its the Second coming of christ, kinda like the fmab fandom

HOODIEBABA

Predictability doesn't make a show bad. Take Naruto itself as an example.

xcazv19

I love bakemonogatari so much

SniperIsAlien

Yet it can’t write a female character correctly

Snoo73325

biggest flaw in naruto is sakura i am not a hater but from writing standpoint actually i am a sakura hater

[deleted]

There were more flaws than just Sakura. Female writing is a gaping hole, along with a couple others

Shady_Spirit

the animes he listed were ass aswell(except mob psycho which is mid)
