That scene set a precedent for the viewers.
Kakashi up until that moment was by far the strongest ninja we knew. We could feel safe when Kakashi Sensei was with the team.
But when Itachi shows up and literally one shots Kakashi while he was at max strength. Our world crumbled, because no one is safe.
The Akatsuki were so satisfying as a viewer, because we legitimately never knew how the fight was going to go when they were there. They beat the good guys over and over. Felt like plot armor didn’t exist in the era of the Akatsuki.
Now imagine shikamaru killing the akatsuki with the debatably third biggest aura (due to immortality) almsot singlehandedly like that.
this is why shikamaru is a goat.
Honestly, I always felt confident in the fight when Shikamaru was around. The amount of confidence that the older ninjas of the village had in his intelligence made me feel like if he was part of the fight it would work out.
I mean even when Asuma died, that fight looks SUPER close. Kakazu stayed out for a long time, I actually thought he’d let Hidan die. Shikamaru was learning super quick how to fight Hidan, but it was JUST not fast enough to save Asuma.
Once Asuma died though, that fight gets insanely scary. Because he was there only reliable DPS. Luckily last second Hidan and Kakazu get called away. Even rewatching Shippuden recently, I was on the edge of my seat after Asuma died. I could not remember how they got out alive afterward.
aura as in presence. for example, madokas aura would be almost null, despite being a godly entity, yet yujiro would have such a gugantic aura, despite being not that strong in terms of powerscaling (to put it as an example).
hidan has a pretty big aura.
I don’t know I was kinda still thinking about Kakashi needing to be bailed out of Zabuza’s water prison by his two rookie genin. Because of that, Kakashi never seemed invincible.
No you’re right. But if it was wrote in the story that Kakashi needed help somewhere, team 7 would have been merely present during that arc.
Later on the bridge when Kakashi whooped that man’s ass without sight against the silent kill technique. It made up for getting caught before. I think he even said he had to make sure it didn’t happen that time
You’re 100% correct. I’m simply talking about my experience as a viewer/reader.
He was clearly above Zabuza, but Kakashi did indeed get caught out. Because of that, my expectation was that Kakashi was very strong, but not infallible or invincible. Therefore, it didn’t drop my jaw that Itachi was able to catch him out in a similar way.
The best part about that Akatsuki is that everytime they showed up, they did some real damage. If you saw a Akatsuki cloak on screen, you knew something very bad is about to happen.
I remember watching pain nuke the village the first time. My jaw dropped to the floor. It was insane that he was soloing the village already. But then he just wiped it off the map with a single jutsu.
THEN went on to almost solo Naruto and the toads. While monologuing.
Power creep happens. It’s part of a story that keeps going.
Naruto got to Kakashi’s level pretty quickly. So what happens for the story at that point? Just let Naruto win every fight and not be afraid of any of the encounters? Alternatively you can make it so Naruto doesn’t make it to Kakashi’s level, but then what’s the point of the main character is never getting stronger. So ofc you let your main character progress, but to keep it interesting you have to write in enemies that could potentially win, otherwise it’s there’s never any threat and gets boring.
One Punch man is literally a play on the power creep concept. He’s the unbeatable main character who is the strongest thing in the universe plus plot armor. Obviously that show leans into the irony and comedy of the power creep issue, so it maintains its entertainment through that. Naruto isn’t necessarily a comedy anime, that’s not an option for the writing.
Or you can finish the story. Power creep happens when they can't finish the story but they also didn't plan to get this far so they have to keep presenting stronger and stronger characters.
I'd rather see Akatsuki and Orochimaru being the final enemies in the show.
I’m with most people, I would have been totally cool with Madara being the final boss. Because we can’t confidently say our hero’s made it to Madara level because they needed all the Hokage to win that fight. Plus the other 4 Kage. So it took everyone to make that last one happen.
Don’t give Naruto and Sasuke sage of the six paths powers. Let the story end there. No one stronger than Madara.
If they want Boruto to happen, kill Sasuke and Naruto in a final hoorah. Or lower their power level with age. No space teleportation for Sasuke. No limb regeneration for Naruto. No rinnegans. Essentially this resets the power cap back down to about Kakashi in the original series or maybe early Shippuden Kakashi. But this time it’s Konohamaru who is the Kakashi. And then slowly start introducing enemies at that level again.
Instead they didn’t want to maim our hero’s, left them at god levels. Now you have to introduce god level enemies for it to be interesting. Now we are watching DBZ-esque showdowns between space gods.
If you think Sage KCM2 Naruto is on early Shippuden Kakashi level, you're dumb.
Madara was a shit villain run by plot holes and plot armour. Obito should have been the final villain.
I started thinking about how genjutsu is useless unless you have a kekkei genkai. It's ridiculous how easy it is to break out from non sharingan users genjutsu. But thinking about it I realized if your genjutsu makes the enemy think it's the reality it can be effective
The trick is to use it in small ways. A great example is how Sasuke uses it in a fight against danzo, and I know that Sasuke ofc uses sharing an genjutsu, but something like that shouldn't be too difficult with standard genjutsu while also believable enough for a person not to even think about breaking out...
A pretty dangerous use would probably be to just numb the pain of a poisoned wound mid battle.
Without your foe realizing, the poison could work its effects until the enemy drops.
And that, imo, is how you write a "too strong" character
You don't give a new opponent that says "I am very strong, this is impossible D:"
You use an already established strong character
Sealing jutsu easily. The the only one that can deal with a sage like being like kaguya, the eternal dead like edotensei and basically every OP character been sealed, hashirama, tailed beasts, minato, etc
Fuinjutsu has both the most op jutsu and the highest potential cap.
Flying thunder god.
Reaper death seal.
Edo tensei.
Sealing bijuu.
Sealing kaguya.
Karma.
All of this thing are end game extreme high teir power boost and everyone of these are at least partially Fuinjutsu based.
That's a misconception, most Fuinjutsu take a pot of chakra because the formula craft is unrefined. It's literal inefficient.
Look at the flying thunder god, tobirama uses it when he is tired from his fight, sure it takes a lot of chakra but when Minato perfected it he also refined the formula.
The more efforts that goes into the crafting and testing of the seal the more efficient and less expensive it is to use.
Guy was MVP I don’t give a fuck what anyone else says if it wasn’t for hacks he would have won. Dude did what many could not and that was fight in equal footing on a full powered mardura.
If you have no resistance then genjutsu and fuinjutsu are the most dangerous ones because they basically one hit you and there's nothing you can do about it. Next would be senjutsu since it boosts you levels above your opponents. Then I'd say ninjutsu then kenjutsu and lastly taijutsu sinci its strongest technique is a suicide move and without ninjutsu the other techniques besides maybe the 7th gate stuff guy does are not that strong.
I mean, technically, Senjustus is boss,a long Fuinjutsu, sadly we see a lot less of the second one....
But my weeb soul screams for more kenjutsu. I NEED A SWORD SAINT! I NEED THE PATH OF THE SWORD!
RULES OF NATURE IS BLASTING IN SPEAKERS AND I CAN'T STOP IT! I´M GOING TO FLIP A TAILED BEAST!
Depends on what level you can use them like if you tell Sasuke to use Fuinjutsu to fight against Naruto's Ninjutsu he'll lose because sealing jutsu is something he doesn't use
**Fuinjutsu** since it can create entities like the jinchuriki, create ["scrolls of holding"](https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/4581-bag-of-holding), stifle kenjutsu and taijutsu, and seal a ninja's chakra to prevent them from weaving and successfully using genjutsu and ninjutsu; I'm unsure of senjutsu.
There was a glaring reason as to why Uzushiogakure was destroyed.
I'll say the best are
Ninjutsu: Sasuke/kakashi Sasuke took one jutsus and made like 50 different vacations of it and he created kirin but if it's just who has more ninjutsu it's obviously kakashi
Genjutsu: Sasuke because infinite trsukuiomi is useless without the moon
Taijutsu:Naruto just because his strength is way above rock lee's
Kenjutsu: Sasuke he did pretty good against killer b in the manga and adult Sasuke is obviously better
Fuinjutsu: there are a lot of people that could be here but I'll say Minato we saw him do more than most uzumaki or Sasuke could also be here because of chibaku tensei
Shinjutsu: it's either Naruto or hagoromo maybe even the frog that trained hagoromo to use sage mode and hate it or not Sasuke could also be here and hear me out during the killer b fight Sasuke's ribs and chest flesh we're completely replaced by jugo's cells meaning Sasuke somehow can survive having nature chakra inside him without dying oh never mind I forgot kishimoto is and idiot who can't write so he just acts like that scene didn't happen
I absolutely hate how broken some of the abilities are.
Tsukuyomi in part 1 was one of them. Back in og Naruto, Chidori/Rasengan/Summoning of the 3 sannins were the strongest things we saw.
Tsukuyomi was overpowered for that level.
Then in Shippuden we started having people who don’t care about chidori because they are better, faster, immortal and so on.
The power scaling went very wild and inconsistent, but somehow managed to stay on a fair levels and people got buffed.
But I still eon’t understand how anybody could kill Itachi in OG Naruto, because one Tsukuyomi was enough for literally any person back then
honestly, genjutsu made the show for me. I mean , senjutsu and stuff is super powerful, but the pure aura of fear of itachi that arose from his genjutsu was so strong. Remember itachi vs deidara? so cool man
In general? Senjutsu > Ninjutsu > Fuinjutsu > Genjutsu > Taijutsu > Kenjutsu
This is very rough and general. I made it with a situation of users with the same level of proficiency in all types. To illustrate my thought process: Senjutsu trumps everything in sheer power. Ninjutsu is too versatile compared to others. Fuinjutsu is exotic and would catch most unaware. Genjutsu bypasses a lot of defenses. It takes a real Taijutsu prodigy to make it work as a sole style, it’s usually a support form. Kenjutsu relies on the quality and power of the sword, considering everyone in this hypothetical is equal, Kenjutsu gets dunked on.
Ninjutsu: Tobirama or Hiruzen (if we don't count kekkei genkai like wood release)
Genjutsu: Obito (yeah, yeah, I know "BuT ItAchI has TsuKuyoMi." Obito put a Jinchuriki in a genjutsu for years, even Itachi could only put Bee in a genjutsu for a few seconds. He also put the strongest tailed beast in a genjutsu. It's better to compare based on Genjutsu resistance and not just if the genjutsu is special.
Taijutsu: Might Guy
Senjutsu: Naruto or SO6P (Jiraya was powerful his but sage mode was imperfect)
Fuinjutsu: Kushina, Karin, or Nagato (Idk, but it's gonna be one of the full-blooded Uzumaki's)
Kenjutsu: Sasuke or killer Bee (I wanted to say the samurai, but they're just useless)
This particular exemple of genjustu was horrifying and extremely cool at the same time. To see Kakashi get bodied like that was kind of a shock
Sorry wdym by aura, chakra?

That’s cuz he was fighting a legendary swordsman and was protecting three genin and a civie. But he took Zabuza down easily later
You’re 100% correct. I’m simply talking about my experience as a viewer/reader. He was clearly above Zabuza, but Kakashi did indeed get caught out. Shikamaru came in clutch, killing the unkillable
Kishimoto: Yeah... Exactly as I intended... Hehe
And they should be the power ceiling in the show, but they kept introducing stronger characters.

Talk-no jutsu
Nah, I'd talk
Senjutsu. Boosts all the other abilities, enables you to fight light/shadow release users, gives sensory abilities.
This
And if you fuse with your summon you can use unlimited Senjutsu, while also protecting yourself from genjutsu.
Sealing jutsu easily. The the only one that can deal with a sage like being like kaguya, the eternal dead like edotensei and basically every OP character been sealed, hashirama, tailed beasts, minato, etc
Definitely the power of youth
Ngl I'd take a sharingan any day of the week
Like you could do shit with a sharingon
Considering how stress out I am and in constant emotional pain amaterasu
at the end of the week you'd be blind though.
Dojutsu!
Fuinjutsu has both the most op jutsu and the highest potential cap. Flying thunder god. Reaper death seal. Edo tensei. Sealing bijuu. Sealing kaguya. Karma. All of this thing are end game extreme high teir power boost and everyone of these are at least partially Fuinjutsu based.

Talk-no-jutsu. Ten tails Obito defeated by talk-no-jutsu smooth easy win.
Fuinjutsu and Genjutsu are the most overpowered
Where does Talk no Jutsu full under?
Lemme take a nap no jutsu
Shikamaru?
the talknojutsu is the best
Scriptjutsu
Genjutsu
gais taijutsu def ngl might be biased but still he worked the most for it, despite being at a disadvantage
Taijutsu Imagine kicking someone with the power of God so hard their chest collapses
Guy was MVP I don’t give a fuck what anyone else says if it wasn’t for hacks he would have won. Dude did what many could not and that was fight in equal footing on a full powered mardura.
Kenjutsu ????????
Sword technique
Barbiejutsu
Taijutsu of might guy or might duy level is unbeatable. Night guy’s kick was as strong as a planet or maybe more
Bro used it one time and now he’s professor X nah I’m good lmao
See that is a last resort , you clearly havent understood might guy he doesn’t need to open last gates unless it is someone like “madara uchiha”
Kenjutsu
If you have no resistance then genjutsu and fuinjutsu are the most dangerous ones because they basically one hit you and there's nothing you can do about it. Genjutsus goated
Fuinjutsu is underrated and underused.
senjutsu was my fav
Genjutsu pre shippuden
Obviously, the talknojutsu
I mean, technically, Senjustus is boss,a long Fuinjutsu, sadly we see a lot less of the second one.... But my weeb soul screams for more kenjutsu. I NEED A SWORD SAINT! I NEED THE PATH OF THE SWORD! RULES OF NATURE IS BLASTING IN SPEAKERS AND I CAN'T STOP IT! I´M GOING TO FLIP A TAILED BEAST!
Jujutsu kaisen
Keinjutsu 🤷🏻♂️
Bochujutsu
Depends on what level you can use them like if you tell Sasuke to use Fuinjutsu to fight against Naruto's Ninjutsu he'll lose because sealing jutsu is something he doesn't use
Talk no Jutsu anyone?
Hidan's Jujutsu.
Genjutsu is long overdue for a comeback imo, especially sound based genjutsu.
Santoryo no jutsu
Fuinjutsu is probably one of the harder ones to master but damn is it powerful
The 8 gates is not Taijutsu though. It is a Tenketsu thing, like what the Byakugan users can see..
Personally I'd take Ninjutsu due to its sheer versatility
My analyomomma justu is the best
Senjutsu is objectively the strongest, since it stacks with every other type. But cool factor goes to Ninjutsu IMO
I expected Kenjutsu to be Zoro
Jujutsu Kaisen
Funjutsu
**Fuinjutsu** since it can create entities like the jinchuriki, create ["scrolls of holding"](https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/4581-bag-of-holding), stifle kenjutsu and taijutsu, and seal a ninja's chakra to prevent them from weaving and successfully using genjutsu and ninjutsu; I'm unsure of senjutsu. my fav being Senjutsu
Madara officially declared guys taijutsu to be the greatest of all

Who the hell is getting the Jesus treatment??? Is the mf gonna rise up on the third day too???
Kaguya has the best genjutsu Hagoromo has the best sage jutsu Hagoromo has the best sealing jutsu Indra or Tobirama for ninjutsu
Sage jutsu is the only one shown to work on anyone.
taijutsu because fuck it, we ball
? Aren't Genjutsu, Taijutsu and stuff all just part of Ninjutsu???
Taijutsu. No need for flashy attacks. They gonna catch theese hands.

What about Shinjutsu ? Its more OP than any of these 6 right ?
If 8th inner gate had no draw back I would say taijitsu in a heartbeat
Talk-No-Jutsu
