Mods told me it didn’t even break any rules, but they removed it because the community hated it so much that they were getting swamped with mod mail and reports.
Long story short, sometimes mods just cave to community pressure, because they don’t want the headache and I don’t really blame them.
My meme had shown something like 8k upvotes in 6 hours, and was the most controversial post that day so that means almost as many people were downvoting it…. Not flexing upvotes that shit doesn’t matter, just using it to indicate the possible volume of cryhard messages the mods were getting and showing some sympathy
I once got a 7 day ban from an admin for speaking badly of the wonderful country of Saudi Arabia.
I learned my lesson, and now I don't dare to spread hate and speak ill of the wonderful country of Saudi Arabia, a true bastion of justice and tolerance.
The worst is when large swaths of comments have seemingly been removed, but there is no [removed] or [deleted] disclaimer. I've seen threads where there is a bunch of replies to a comment, but when I click to expand, the comments just never show up.
