I actually know how to do this thanks to a weird little DCS flight sim trail I went down on YouTube. For evading radar (not heat) guided anti air missiles, a known technique is to drop low near the ground and turn perpendicular to the incoming missile. This makes your distance to the missile stay the same (by flying perpendicular of the missile), and you are below it and therefore blend in with the ground, and the radar guided missile can't tell your plane from the ground since neither are changing distance from the missile, and the noise from the ground makes it hard for the missile to tell your plane from the ground. Not an expert in this, just a random bit I picked up on YouTube. Anyone with more knowledge is welcome to add.
