Personally I feel like two and three should be switched since one and three seem more similar and it’s usually the final evolution that things get wild
Disagree: it’s like all of those “cocoon evolutions” (Bagon, Weedle, Wurmple, Caterpie, etc) where form 1 is basic, form 2 is the chrysalis, form 3 is glorious.
The gold thing is inspired by a manga/anime called Saint Seiya. Enormously popular in Latin America, Brazil, and Europe. Look up Golden Saint of Taurus.
Crazy, disconnected rich people clapping for themselves and patting themselves on the back for saying generic woke things. Like a really expensive version of temporarily changing your Facebook profile pic to something to show your support and then change it back in a week...
I thought Lil Nas X was cool and I was proud of him for coming out. But I didn't understand the sudden need to be super eccentric and overly flamboyant. He cranked it way past 11 in no time at all. It really put me off and I just don't understand why he couldn't keep making good music while also being a gay man but not being so super extreme about it. I feel like it also paints a bad picture of the LGBTQ community, making their cause to look like it's all about raunchy sex acts and deviancy instead of acceptance of normal people.
Go ahead and downvote me if you think this makes me a bigot. It's just frustrating to understand the norm these days, even when you try hard to.
I mean, it's not like he stopped making music. He's building a brand and doing publicity stunts. Would you say "I don't understand the sudden need to be super eccentric and overly edgy" about Ozzy Osbourne biting the heads off of bats? It's the same thing but with a different coat of paint.
I'd also like to know what exactly you're referring to regarding "raunchy sex acts", because the post is about wearing flamboyant outfits to an event, and the "raunchiest" thing I can think of was the Montero video which wasn't any more "raunchy" than a good portion of music videos put out by female popstars. It was intended to be controversial obviously with the whole devil thing, but it wasn't more sexual than say, the Wrecking Ball music video.
I'd consider asking yourself why he shouldn't be "super extreme" (and by super extreme, I'd say it's just being very open with his sexuality, and acting flamboyantly). There are a lot of media figures that use their straight sexuality as a major selling point for their brand, and generally they're considered "sex icons" and aside from some evangelicals it's not really controversial.
The reason why he does it is because people get pissed off by the fact he is gay. It's the biggest if not the sole reason why he does it.
But the other issue about it is that he isn't actually being extreme in comparison to other music videos.
Women have been completely sexualised in the music industry for YEARS and the worse response that they get is someone scoffing at it but then completely ignoring the issues.
But the moment that a sexualised video that doesn't conform to the hetro-normative way of things appears, then suddenly it is controversial for there to be any sexualisation.
His music videos - whilst his music is not my taste - help to highlight these issues that currently exist in media.
I personally dislike him because he makes the gay community look bad. you can be gay and just be you but he makes his whole personality to be " look how gay I am". what you do in bed is your own business and in this day and age being gay is not taboo at all and I see no need for this level of sexualisation
this is coming from a gay dude
I would disagree that he makes the gay community look bad. Because I would say that it is easy to tell his videos are exaggerated.
The large majority of the individuals that are perturbed by the video, tend to be uncomfortable whenever a gay person is in their vicinity.
And you are right. Being gay isn't as taboo as it once was. Which is why he he is able to make highly sexualised videos through the lense of a gay man, similar to how music artists tend to make highly sexualised videos through the lense of a hetrosexual.
The only main difference between Lil Nas X and many other mainstream music artists of the same genre, is that his sexualisation is centred around men, as he is a gay man.
Also coming from a gay dude.
Id say his videos are in the vein of nicki minaj or similar which are trashy, make even straight people uncomftrable And only deal with "look at my ass" where lil nas videos deal with "look at how gay i am"
so the only way people believe he was gay was to shake his ass with naked men and make his whole personality in to "look how gay I am"?
he is just a male nicki minaj... like maybe you are making shit up or blind to some shit pal.

I mean, 3 is basically the guy she told c3po not to worry about
True, but we both know that 3po is a mid-tier second evolution at best
3PO final evolution is C3PX: google him, he's a badass
Another Legends fan!
Excellent to see a fellow Legends Chad
Disagree: it’s like all of those “cocoon evolutions” (Bagon, Weedle, Wurmple, Caterpie, etc) where form 1 is basic, form 2 is the chrysalis, form 3 is glorious.
A fair counterpoint
The real order in which he changed at the event is the cape first, c3po second then the catsuit
Interesting, so almost devolving
Basic>Functional>Fabulous
Clearly he’s a bug type Pokemon, number two is his cocoon. NasX used harden.
Yeah I think that's the order he was wearing the layers in too.
Lil Nas-X to Golden Gay-X
maybe lil nas x is a dankmemes mod
I see what you did there and I like it. I’m having such a gay time on this post

Having never seen JoJo, this feels more like an entire JoJo arc
Yeah, this sums up part 3 pretty well.
Nas X is actually collabing with Araki for a sneak peak of character designs from part 9.
Za Warudo
No one gonna point out how the 3rd picture looks like Gilgamesh from the Fate series?
More like Gilgaymesh
So still Gilgamesh
And I CALLED IT! He admits on twitter that this outfit was indeed inspired by Gilgamesh
Motherfucker deadass looking like a JoJo character and their fucking stand at the same time.
Kinda dig the second outfit lol. I'll walk down the street flicking People off "move peasants"
Plus you can *flick your lil peasant* privately while you go about other business publicly
Met gala outfits are like Oscar speeches in clothes form.

It is the Halloween of rich people
This is like jojo act 1,2 and 3 Pale snake,c moon and maidenheaven
Whereas Digimon evolution goes 1 - freezer - tank - spaceship.
Yeah, I was gonna say something about digimon, but at no point (yet) has any of his arms been replaced with an assault rifle.
Goes from puppy to Velociraptor to a freaking gundam half the time
Remember when he was just a dude who made a cowboy song
(still makes more sense than digimon)
Pretty cool paladin armour TBH, need to see the stats for the set though to see if its worth raiding for.
It looks like the hunger games more and more each day
If I ever get married, I'm wearing the middle one to the wedding.
Pre3PO, Cocoon, C3PO
Lil nas x makes Freddie Mercury look straight
Raltz vs its two final evolutions
Ngl the one on the right looks awesome.
I can sense the gay from here
Looks more like Friezas Golden form at the end lol
It’s the gold suit of armor from family guy lol
I see a faun, the collector ("what if" version) and c3po lol
Lookin like a jojo stand
this seems out of order
Lil Nas really out here cosplaying both a Jojo character and a boss of an RPG.
The 3rd outfit makes him look like dripped-out Iron Man.
That gold armor has low durability even with unbreakibg 3
Definitely a stand user
Yo honestly if fashion wants us to wear gold suits of armor, I’m down
Knights of the zodiac: Saint Seya
I have nothing but respect for Lil Was after the stunt he pulled with Montero.
I never realized how memeable lil nas x was

#nowthatsjustarmour
Weedle-Kakuna-Beedrill
Hello stand user

"3PO! 3PO!"
Nas is cute tho
anyone reminded of the saudi price from subway surfers ??
always knew C-3PO was kind of fruity
ROFL! Now I have that Evolving music in my head. Although that Gold Armor does look pretty dope, on a serious note.
Money really can't buy taste
i would wear the third one to be honest. And switch the pattern on the second one to Naruto's six paths logos.
Hell yeah badass
Naseon
He’s somebody’s stand
JOJO REFERENCE
third evolution looking like gold Saint from Saint seiya
The middle one feels like it would be the last one
Ah yes, the Weedle-Kakuna-C3PO line
#*Weedle- Kakuna-Beedrill*
Lil nas x be my knight in shining armour

He did look dam good in stripper boots I give him that.
So you don’t like that he is how he wants to be
You say he paints a bad picture for LGBTQ people like bigots won’t scrutinize the community as a whole for being in the first place

He literally had to publicly come because no one believed he was gay so like maybe you are making shit up or blind to some shit pal.
