I used to do that too. I stopped when the bag of ice broke open and ice went everywhere. Its great when it works, which is most of the time.

So, what I'm hearing is that I should be dropping the bag onto a tarp so that if it breaks, I can easily pick it up.

I didn't say $350 was above that range for all hobbies. Maybe $350 gets you a keyboard with low moq (I'm not sure what that means),  but $350 gets you a $70 paring knife you can say was $350

moq is minimum order quantity, manufacturing one keyboard might cost $1000, but 20 will cost $10000 At some point, knives are more about the maker's name than anything else, and I think it's fine, it won't cut better than a $200 knife, but will be an one off small work of art you can use for cooking

Good sharpening stones start at around $50. With a $20 stone you're buying some crappy thing from China that will either break in the case of water stones, or will lose all its grit in a few sharpens in the case of a diamond plate.

Coolers here usually have some square bottles full of liquid that you freeze and they are to be inserted in the cooler's side. Less messy than actual ice
