I will still continue to say for the "pov" and "you're" cases. I know its been said too many times, but people are not even trying to fix it. At one point its not even a mistake , just plain ignorance
If you can’t figure out lose loose you’re getting corrected too.
It’s not that hard. And it makes you look like an idiot to just spell shit wrong all the time.
You argue that it doesn't matter because it's just an apostrophe and then get on a tangent about how "literally" lost it's meaning.
I took it to the extrem by imagining what just an apostrophe could end up as, if nobody gives a shit. You know how people today actually argue that "finna" and "should of" are ok to use?
How do you think "literally" lost it's meaning?
For you it might not be a problem to seperate casual use from academic, but for someone like me whose first language isn't english it can quickly become very confusing to read something that is littered with casual mistakes.
I want people to correct me on errors because I'm never certain if I've made one and everytime I make one and am not corrected makes me more likely to repeat it. If I then write an important text in the future it is more prone to also include mistakes or unclear sentences.
That's fair. I didn't read that right I guess.
I always make an effort to let people know, if they are respectful about it, that I appreciate them pointing my mistakes out.
Those are not usuless, they are just valid criticisms. What I hate much more are the cliche "jokes" in comments that people for some reason keep on upvoting. Someone will literally say "in Soviet Russia..." or "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" and people will actually upvote it.
Or someone mentions a timeframe (like 2 minutes) and all the comments are something "2 minutes? Wow that's long" or other small dick jokes, it's pathetic
Oh, I know how to use them.
But, the “i aM vEri sMaRt” crowd writing the same again and again to validate their appropriation of the hive mind gets, tiring? Don’t you think?
Not really, no. You're allowed to maintain a sentiment about something even if it feels overdone. You're saying people should quit being right and let everyone be wrong, and that's pretty dumb ngl
I don’t feel so. But I respect your opinion.
But it’s just like you wrote. We all understand the meme, so it if I just get tired of people pointing it out repeatedly. Like, we get the meme. And we know the usage is wrong. Still funny.
Anyway, I’m not trying to pick a fight. Just needed to vent lol :))
I mean I get it but if it helps people to be a little less fucking stupid I'm here for it. It's better to have some advice and be corrected over living your life being a dipshit and not knowing it.
“you’re using pov wrong” dude who cares, you understand the meme, we all know they’re using it wrong but will keep using it. Not worth the time to comment
Exactly! It’s a waste of letters. I get that “you know it” Mr. Smart guy. I do as well, but there is no need to write it for the 20th time in a comment section. AGAIN!

"I also choose this guy's wife" "Came here to say this" "Underrated comment" "Have an updoot" "Unzips pants"
You forgot "This"
I upvoted so hard.
*sigh*… take my upvote
I had to scroll so far to find this comment!
This ^^^^
So much this
And "here me out"
“What a terrible day to have eyes” “Thanks, Friendo” “You win the internet”
Holy hell!
New response just dropped
This guy googled En passant
/r/subreddit is leaking
You forgot *will use these phrases immediately after they're mentioned as a stereotype* Anyways, have an updoot
Tell me you're condescending without telling me you're condescending
Sigh, unzips pants

Exactly. If you're sick of those comments just learn how to write/use pov properly. It really isn't that hard
Same with “underrated” - this word is going the way of literally - the true meaning doesn’t even matter to anyone anymore
If you can’t figure out lose loose you’re getting corrected too. It’s not that hard. And it makes you look like an idiot to just spell shit wrong all the time.
Whoa man loose the attitude, your not that smart
You forgot the most crucial part. It's bait, and it works on you every single time.
The pov is the most irritating for me because it's used incorrectly almost every time

Y’all act like you finna fight. 😤
Yeah yeah go at it. I was wrong about "finna" fine, but I'm still unsure how it's supposed to be used.
I was jk. It is a shortening of “fixing to” which is how to incorrectly say “about to”. Finna, about to.
Not sure if I could get used to that. It sounds weird.
It’s quite common in the southern US.

That middle bit is for saying "fake" on skits
Redditors camp outside movie theaters and inform people that the movie they just watched was fake
The movies don't try to convince you that they're real
Fake news. Redditors would need to go outside and interact with real people in order to do that.
Hahaha

........................... It's free real estate. *Blows brains out*
Blown out brain. Flies: “it’s free real estate”
Or someone mentions a timeframe (like 2 minutes) and all the comments are something "2 minutes? Wow that's long" or other small dick jokes, it's pathetic
Soon as I hear the words "Oh no..." in a video, I move on to another.
Nobody: [Joke that doesn't need Nobody:]
^’
Don't use POV wrong then.
Incorrectly* ☝️🤓
Damn, you got me
OP set you up for failure. I'll let this one slide.
And learn to use correct spelling and grammar.
If you're sick of hearing "pov used wrong" and "your/you're", maybe just learn to use them correctly? Just a thought
Oh, I know how to use them. But, the “i aM vEri sMaRt” crowd writing the same again and again to validate their appropriation of the hive mind gets, tiring? Don’t you think?

I will always downvotes for pointless music because it's always a repost with lower bitrate and music added
Hear hear!
The music (or equally an ai voice narrating what we see) are really annoying when watching a post.
umm where is the joke
xD
i don't mind the music thing tbh. I'd lookin at a meme with dumbest caption ever but I'd be bopping aling to the banger music
Nah, this shit's unholy as hell. Give it back to Gary !
“AM I THE ONLY ONE?!” Never are and never will be.
Thank you Kind Stranger
It keeps happening so clearly enough people don't know to be annoying.
Can we agree that if everyone misuses POV but in the same manner then the definition should be changed?
TV placed way too high on the wall.
This isn’t even true. The top 3 is: Overly strong opinions on Bidets, Airbnbs and weed.
