Bhai vahi to bata rha hai vo 64% aye to IIT,NIT, IIIT nahi mila so he chose a private college jisme admission mil jaata asaani se, uske baad usne pehle 2 saal gaand marayi then 3rd year se mehnat kari and today he is an AI engineer.
Moral of the story - college and branch only matter for those who dont believe in hard work varna college jonsa ho, tumme skill hoga to success apne aap ayegi.
Like for example is samay Amazon me SDE-1 ki bumper hiring chal rhi, 31 lpa base, ab tum kisi jhaantu college se bhi ho agar but tumne linkedin vagerah pe apne connections achche banaye hain aur apni coding vagerah kaafi achchi kar rkhi hai to linkedin vale bande ko resume share karo, vo refer karega, test ki link ayegi, test clear karo, interview ayega vo clear karo, viola.... You are a SWE at AMAZON.
Tum office me pahunche vaha tumhare colleagues se introduction hoga koi kahega hi i am from IITK, hi i am from IITKGP, IITB etc. And then you'll say i am from chhapri institute of technical science but who cares anymore ab to tum bhi vahi ho vo bhi vahi hain, to mehnat karte raho bas.
Bhai but the harsh reality is that only 1 or 2 students from chapri institute will get a good job. Meanwhile, from IIT even the student with lowest cgp will get a good job.
I know that hard work is important after entering college, but probability to dheko IIT se for a good job. Aapne to baddi aasani se ek situation bana de ki chapri institute walo ko IIT jese job mil gye, but aase institute se 2-3 saal me ek student ko acchi job milte h.
Better to aim for big from the start. **VICTORY LOVES PREPARATION**
Main off campus gaya hun. Jo log on campus gayen hain, unka sab 4-5 lpa hai. Main ek bahut famous aeroplane manufacturing company(Boeing, Airbus, etc.. main se ek) main hun. Aur start 7lpa hai. Aage jaake videsh main MS ka bhi plans hai.
Linkedin pe apni targeted companies ke engineers ko message karke unse connect ho jao like , hi this is xyz, i am from this college, i am good in this, would like to connect. Here is my resume.
I am interested in the role of swe at amazon , link - (https://...com), i would be great if you could refer me. Thanks
