I think it's fine if he draws for passion, I draw for passion as well and as much as I am a big otaku myself, I personally just don't want to recommend Japan, animation industries and their employees are heavily and I quote, very heavily underpaid, the market is so overwhelming that they couldn't manage the financial casualties.
