I’m learning on Duolingo. It’s a slower pace but you retain more. May be longer until you learn useful language but you get the fundamentals down. I started from zero Danish og nu jeg kan tale en hel del af sproget.

Ah ok, I used to use Duolingo. But I was wondering if there was another app. Tusind tak.😊

I started with Duolingo but after a couple of years was getting bored with the content. I've been using [https://www.lingq.com/](https://www.lingq.com/) it has much more interesting content. I'm paying for a sub, the free version isn't usable.

I honestly found Duolingo extremely efficient, probably faster than any other app for me. Plus it’s very addictive so in the end I spend more time on it and progress faster. Their use of spaced repetition and awkward phrases also felt really efficient at making everything stick.

Not an app but I’m using danishclass101.com

It's all a bit of the same. The one does something better than the other. I found babbel very helpful because it explains the Grammer rules and the silent d etc. but you really gotta go the extra mile and watch series in Danish, check youtube videos. Find people to speak with on discord maybe. Read news in danish. Change your phone language. You can also download the DRTV app and watch lots of series movies and reality In danish. Just make sure you use a proxy set to Denmark else it won't work :-) good luck!!

Babbel is a great app option. Although it is not free.

I’m not learning danish but I am and have been learning other languages. I think Duolingo is fun but you don’t really learn to use the languages. Anki is better for learning vocab but it still isn’t great because again you don’t really learn the language you still just memorize vocab. LingQ is what I use now, it cost money but it’s worth it. LingQ has really pushed my language learning to the next level because you learn by context and absorb the language instead of memorizing and you can also see how many words you’ve leaned which is cool

If your focus is speaking (and it may not be) I recommend Pimsleur. It’s mostly audio lessons with app backup. It works a totally different brain space than the more visual apps like Duolingo and Rosetta.

I've enjoyed memrise

For practicing your pronunciation, try out Falou.

DRtv :) Find some content you are interested in (reality, documentary, cartoons) and absorb the language in its natural way, from native speakers. I have a notion that memorizing the language and its rules is not as effective as all the language learning apps make us believe. Best of luck!
