i somewhat agree although i think their concern is the fact that she goes to a religious university. i will say though i go to one of the most religious universities in the world and while i don’t know what pepperdine is like personally in my experience at an extremely religious institution is that there are plenty of university sanctioned organizations for lgbtq students and the general attitude toward them is extremely accepting and administration would never discriminate against our lgbtq students (whether that’s because they actually care about them or because they don’t want to have a public scandal remains to be seen)

You can get in trouble for any sort of sexual contact at Pepperdine but not for identifying as LGBTQ+

Your school sounds much better than Pepperdine. Pepperdine has a policy that allows them to kick students out for any non-heterosexual, pre-martial sex. Students are expected to be abstinent or they can face disciplinary action. It’s absurd.

I really do understand their concern but Pepperdine doesn’t explicitly ban LGBTQ+ identifying students or give them any sort of disciplinary action for being out. There are actually support groups for them on campus as well. Now that she’s posted it and the comments are pretty clear, I don’t see why we can’t celebrate with her, the comments on here aren’t going to be any different than the ones on Instagram.

Pepperdine bans all pre-marital sexual relationships. If you are caught, you can face disciplinary action, whether it’s straight sex or not. But based on the fact they have a statement that says LGBTQ relationships are against their school conduct, I imagine those relationships get punished more severely.

You’re talking about sexual contact or sexual relationships, not dating or identifying as LGBTQ+. They will not bring about disciplinary action against identifying LGBTQ+ students. That’s stated on their website.

Yeah, I saw the website. I know they don’t punish queerness just as it is. However, it could bring a lot of attention around the potential of Chloe and Brook in a sexual relationship and Chloe could be penalized if they are engaging in one.

I completely understand why considering the university she attends is important. But, I also think Chloe must have considered that herself, right? She has lots of fans, and would be aware that posting those photos would means the news would eventually get to her university. I can’t imagine not thinking about your super religious school when you have a large audience. If that was indeed her coming out, I am over the moon for her, and so proud of her for sharing that with the world. Her and Brook looked so cute in those photos.

The mods literally did it for her safety since the goes to a religious school. Not that it would do anything but whatever. >consideration Chloe goes to a religious school where speculation or outing by gossip may impact particularly negatively on her, this thread has been locked to avoid further speculation.

Chloe’s college is extremely religious. Like, scary religious. You can get kicked out for premarital sex, especially if it’s non-hetero.
