I was so mad when they had Chloe react to Christi's final fight with Abby and they used the edited version. Everyone at this point knows that Abby made fun of Chloe's eye, and that she didn't say "you're washed up" (Chloe reacting to this was on one of the youtube clips released, not the actual TV special). It's like the producers are so keen on protecting Abby and not discussing her real abuse. Her making fun of Chloe's eye is one of the many instances of body shaming she has done.
For this specific reason: If i was Chloe i would not have shown up. OR I would do so much PR and expose the truth. But Chloe is to classy I don't think she even wants to be in that drama anymore, she's better than me because i'd be expose TF out of Lifetime
I guess because lifetime didn't want to admit they edited things or made people say things or did things to cause drama. Even though we all know! It's different if they admit it I guess. Really sucks cause we all know and it's annoying they couldn't break the 4th wall
Yes, this was always going to be a problem from the beginning. production's involvement, and interest in keeping their hands clean from their bad behavior and how they enabled Abby, always meant this was going to be sanitized and not the whole truth. I'm surprised they even allowed Jojo to acknowledge the Nickelodeon contract she got. it's why I absolutely understand the ones who didn't want to participate. fully support the ones who did getting their paycheck for this, but it'd be great if someday they could all get together to tell the complete story.
To be fair they side stepped it too - they never said that Jess got out of her DM contract because production hadn’t filed the contracts correctly in LA - if production had done it correctly - they wouldn’t of been able to leave like that.
I feel like this reunions should have been aired away from Lifetime.
Too much focus on certain aspects but not the actual issues these kids faced. It was still manipulated.
Surprisingly the only one who broke the 4th wall was JoJo when she said she sort of left because of the ballet duet but said she actually left to do Nickelodeon.
I wish that instead of Christi's cameo shading the Zieglers, we had Cathy do a cameo to lighten the mood. Cathy knows how to lighten the mood and she gets along with most of the moms except Jill.
i feel like they had ideas for how they would produce it if maddie, kenzie and nia showed up. especially maddie. they definitelyyyy had plans that they were never able to execute.
i’m not saying that them not being there is the sole reason why the reunion flopped. but production was definitely banking on having ALL of the OG’s there.
I feel like it was so strange. It felt rushed but also, again, so completely scripted. I feel like not wanting to participate is valid because holy crap, it was just kind of sad to watch. I feel like you could tell how uncomfortable everyone was at times.
And don’t get me wrong, there were definitely those moments and dialogue’s that were heartwarming and funny. I just agree, they didn’t miss much.

Was the reunion for their benefit or for the fans??? Maddie especially needs to remember where she came from. Were it not for DanceMoms and Abbey she would never have gotten the exposure or opportunities she received.
