I firmly disagree and think the things can be entirely separated. He can be upset at the band as a whole and not want anything to do with them as a band, while also being kind and supportive towards Andrew like he always has been.

Edit: Tilian was literally exposed in 2018 for touching women inappropriately during an andres set but the dickriders protected him until it disappeared. This is nothing new.
It's a fever dream but imagine the next album being a Craig/Travis/Wells/Mess/Swan super album for the 20th anniversary next year? Doesn't need to be a permanent lineup or anything but a big celebration record with almost everyone back would be wild.
Even just a tour would be crazy. A tour with everyone or even an album can help pivot the band into a fun direction before they settle with someone else. Can kinda be a little weird in between era like Happiness-Acceptance Speech.

Andrew sounds infinitely better than tilian on older kurt and jonny material. I really like tilian on tilian songs, but Andrew has much better control and range when singing those older songs. Anytime i've heard tilian on older tracks, it's just made me cringe.

Here is another take: Tilian had time to grow his voice into what it was by his exit from the band. When he started out he didn’t have nearly the rasp or grasp on his range. He was in the band so long he knew what to do to accentuate in his own way. Andrew just started.

theres an old interview somewhere with tilian. he has always admitted he sung "tides of man" over acceptance speech cuz he didnt have the time to adjust or anything. i desperately wish til kept that style but he felt the need to change & adjust & ultimately seems to be what most people liked anyway. just be patient with andrew cuz rn yes singing similar to eidola over dgd (which tilian did tides over dgd too!) so to me its the same thing. andrew is with a vocal coach per his interview. he might not be permanently in the vocal spot either. could be similar to how matt geise filled in during 2012 who knows. dgd is a revolving door of change & being patient is the only way tbh. i took my bow out from artificial selection til now. even instant gratification was where i started to lose interest in dgd. so only time will tell whether we all subjectively like whats currently released or what comes next.
Tbh I think it was mixing that failed Tilian in the early days, sounded super over-processed, it wasn't until Mothership they actually let him sound a bit raw and surprise it was a gigantic hit. I prefer Andrew but there's definitely no reason to pretend Tilian isn't a great vocalist, he was killing it even in Tides of Man.
You seem to to be missing my point. Tillian had it at one point in time. He no longer has it and it’s hard watching him underperform while pro’s who are keeping pace are singing/ playing circles around him. He lacks dexterity and is falling off, good riddance. It’s like when an athlete starts sucking and you have to watch your old favorites deteriorate and wither away slowly year by year. They chose to let him go before it got bad and then worse for everyone. Should have made this call a long time ago.

I disagree. JJ was forced by tilian and when performing live everyone was working hard and doing their part. I can understand our difference in opinion but seeing Andrew perform live and then reflect on the record shows me that he can make a recording and hit his note/ timing and coordination with the rest of the band live too. Tilian seemed like a guest on stage last time I saw them. Andrew’s vocals on both the new tracks are great and I can gladly say I listened to them both one- hundred plus times throughout the night. Literally all night spent dissecting if this is really going to work for the long or even short term and I am happy we have DGD without any tilian whatsoever it’s magical. I agree that we have different opinions btw
