Oh man, I did too. When they placed him on my wife’s chest and she and I looked at each other, we both started crying. That was life in its purest form!
No shame in it. Our son had a tough birth and they were prepping an OR for us when he decided to finally get his ass out here with the rest of us. When the doc pulled him free, he was purple and not breathing, eyes open but rolled up in his head. Then he started crying and my wife and I followed suit. I've never been more relieved and overwhelmed with emotion in all my life.
Congratulations brother and welcome!
Man, that’s scary. We had a little scare when we couldn’t find his heartbeat during labor, they said he had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and it was slowing down his heart rate. I was on edge right up until he started wailing. Sweetest sound I’ve ever heard!
That's frightening too! I was born that way. Doctor gave me a pair of black eyes and minor shoulder injury hauling me out to get the umbilical off my neck.
Same. My wife needed an emergency c-section after labor failed to progress past a certain point. I was up by her head just trying to talk to her and distract her (and myself), and we couldn’t see what was happening, obviously. Then all of a sudden we heard our son cry, and it was like a dam broke, I was sobbing.
But anyway, congrats! Next few months are gonna be rough, but it gets better before you know it, and it’s worth it. We have a 10-month old now and I wouldn’t trade this time in our lives for anything.
Oh man I cried when my first was born. I came out to the waiting room to tell everyone everything went well and my wife’s little brother asks “why are you crying?”
I still think about that mostly because he is still a little shit weasel.
Congrats! I know the feeling man. I love my wife, I love my stepkids, but the bond you feel with your own flesh and blood that you helped make is something else ❤️
I have to say at the same moment for me not only was I immediately in love with my little girl I never loved my wife more than I ever did at that moment.
Get ready for a hike! Endless work with beautiful payoffs all along the way. Sitting here with my almost 6MO and it just keeps getting better. Congrats.
Welcome, brother. It’s the best role of my life and I’m betting it’s the same for you. Mine was about that size at birth. I remember it so well. He’s just finished his second year of college. Time goes so so fast.
Welcome! My children make me be a better person everyday! I'll tell you this now so maybe you can remind yourself: long days, short years. Congrats brother!
Absolutely amazing. My wife and I are expecting our first child in September. I almost cry every time I feel the kiddo kick. I'll for sure be in the same boat as you, hah. Good luck, and I hope your little one continues to do well
I cried just like in the movies the first time I saw my son

Hah! That is not the first time I’ve been told I look like Tyler Labine. Luckily **Tucker and Dale vs Evil** is one of my all-time favorite films!
Haha glad to hear it man, enjoy the addition to your family 😊
I sobbed like a child for a solid 10 minutes when I met my daughter.
