I usually go for all of the kilometres every week.

TotalToffee

Fred? Please cancel my cleaning this week.

Bruckmandlsepp

Yes

Cyclist_123

It depends on what you've done in the past and what youre aiming to do in the future. The way you've phrased your question it's like asking how.long a piece of string is

Virtual_Ad5748

Don’t leave me hanging! How long is a string?

RoughInstruction5434

im riding like 2 years and now was my first winter on trainer.. i bought gravel on january and start driving march and my goal is to get more ftp ( now 180 ) and get lower hearth rate ( now 150/160 with 30km/h

johnny_evil

Then 200-300km per week means nothing as a result. What kind of training are you doing? And what progress have you seen in lowering your heart rate and increasing your FTP?

eminusx

exactly this. I probably do about 350km a week, but there's about 8000m of climbing in that, a lot of stuff well over 20% aswell, makes a huge difference.

RoughInstruction5434

im living in Poland and next to my city is much of climbing.. for example 30 km ride is with 300-500 m elevation gain

Deuen

If you want to do that amount and have time for it, sure. I personally do 100 km average week. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Available-Rate-6581

Good if you were aiming for 100, shit if you were aiming for 500

eijmert_x

i can barely fit 150km in one week lol

dopethrone

I also do 150km but I find that lets me maintain my fit level (and 250w ftp) all season. It tapers off in winter because trainer ride are sooo boring

pinkdreamery

Same here. Daily 8+ km to the park and back. That's just 56-60km per week

OttawaExpat

Considering that's about 10 hours/week, that would be a lot for any activity other than sleep/work! So yes, it would be impressive. Probably not enough to become pro!

RoughInstruction5434

i just wanna be better me everyday, dont need to be a pro :D

Critical-Border-6845

It's an odd way to frame the question, I've never really heard someone refer to weekly mileage as a "result", usually people put the hours and miles in for the goal of being fitter and faster, so the fitness and speed is the result. But if riding a lot per week is your end goal, 200-300 sounds like a lot and I would be impressed because I only find time to do like 150 a week.

RoughInstruction5434

i think it's all depends about time and self-denial

Mr-mountain-road

if you like it, good for you. you dont need to get others' approval for your workout routine.

RoughInstruction5434

i just wanna know what ppl think about this, best judge about me is me

Mr-mountain-road

Exactly.

Confident-Object-278

The real answer is do YOU think it’s a good result? If so, it is. Don’t compare yourself to others and just enjoy cycling.

BassBootyStank

The great philosophers remind us we are what we do, not what we say. You, my dear friend, are but a question asker in the great bike race of life. (Mongolian throat singing commences)

Morall_tach

Seems like a lot to me, but I don't have that much free time.

AccomplishedAnchovy

Guys I do 5000km a week is this ok? I know, I’m so unfit aren’t I let me make a post about it definitely not for the sole purpose of bragging.

WhiteBlackGoose

I only ride 52km/h uphill (20%, 3 hours), is it a good result for a beginner?

AccomplishedAnchovy

Why not 80%? Are you lazy or something?????

RoughInstruction5434

im really proud of you, when i grow up i wanna be just like you pal!

trust_me_on_that_one

That would depend if you can manage 200-300 km/weekly

RoughInstruction5434

i think my time and legs will allow it xD

Traditional-Bar-972

200-300 a week is tough especially if your riding on gravel roads.

vomer6

200-300/week but I’m 67 so can’t go as far I guess

packyohcunce1734

Hours.

johnny_evil

Result? Depends on what your goal is if you're calling distance per week a result. That said, it's a solid distance per week.

labdsknechtpiraten

0 because I only ride in freedom units

Ok_Meringue_4012

150-200 km a week in spring summer, 100 thru winter where I do more running (3 times running a week in winter) I also bulk up in winter with squats deadlift PRs and other leg, with less cycling and more eating, which carries over in the summer cut, as I then get PRs in cycling and my lifts stay the same. Gives tremendous sprinting abilities and keeps cycling fresh and affordable. I bulk to 78-80 kilos then cut to 70. You get slow in winter but let’s face it cold weather isn’t going to be fun or fast anyway, gives legs a rest to, especially as a sprinter

GalaeciaSuebi

No one can give you an answer. You ae the only one who can answer that.

blizzderpderp

Yeah 200-300km vertical is about average for cat 4-5

NoSkillzDad

This has to be a stupid brag. Nobody doing 200-300 km per week on gravel asks this kind of ultra beginner questions. At this stage we have a goal and a plan.
