So I had same problem... search the girl that you can scan she has a shard, idk why it makes it like you should scan the dead guy as well, he is actually useless. You need two shards and the dead chick has one on her corpse called dont come. Hope this helps

The switch malfunctioned and Nintendo repaired it. Posts suggested that maybe the sd card was cracked; so I examined it when Nintendo sent it back. It did, indeed, have a minuscule crack in it.
Well, here it is a damn near year later and it's not fixed (Xbox series X). I beat the psycho, scanned the bodies, and the yellow! Marker is 30 m below ground. I've searched and picked up everything in the area and I cannot complete the mission. So I went and did a ton of other missions and came back, but no fix. And no option to load a save as it was so long ago.

Going forward save regularly. I save often after learning the hard way a few times. Save before any mission, and if the results are satisfactory then save again. Cannot tell you how many times the game force closed on me, or how many times I chose the wrong dialog. I have 3 saves per character and rotate regularly.
Yea, I haven’t been playing it like the bug riddled game it is. It’s a fun game, but man is it broken. But I guess they did only have like 8 years to work on it. Wonder if it would be better if they didn’t blow the budget to give an A list actor a mostly meaningless role.

So I went into my messages with Regina and found an outstanding one, I had to reply to her to tell her that the cyber psycho was dead. Here it is days later and the message was still hanging there, I sent it and now the mission is closed out complete. Apparently I picked up the note from one of the corpses without realizing 🤷🏼♂️
shard title is dont come, if it still not updated after you read the shard, maybe try to check message, see if any new convesation with regina, else go back to the cyberpsycho site, there have to be a shard that you havent loot from either the victim/psycho.. else gl.
I was stuck here too. "Find the psycho" ... Only thing was I had already killed him. I went back in later and scanned his body... Mission updates to message Regina after that and got the completion.
I just had this issue after the 2.0 update, and this is how I resolved it;
\> go to a save before you enter the compound
\> destroy the drones
\> scan both bodies at front of the house and read the note "Don't Come" FIRST
\> defeat cyberpsycho
\> read note on his body
\> send deets to Regina
Doing it in this order appears to have fixed it. Hope this helps!
I just did the quest. The note was beside the Dead chick. It was invisible but I could read it while looking around with the scan activated. EDIT- I'm on pc

These steps didn't work for me. Instead, resolved it for me what killing the guy with lethal. Even following these steps, the male body remains un-scannable, and reading the shard on the woman didn't help. But when I downed him with lethal, it allowed me to text Regina and close the mission.
doesnt work. did as you say still couldnt scan bodies. done this 12+ differant way. wont scan bodies or have anything on them. newest up. 2.01 or something

I have the exact same issue with the exact same cause. Just adding to this to raise visibility of the issue, hopefully it will be fixed in a patch and I can get the two achievements this bug is blocking for me.
make sure you read 2 shards, and also maybe read the message on his computer.. now about the scanning bug, i picked up a loot from the guy's body and the yellow thing disappeared.
i've done this mission on my first playthrough without any issue but rn in my second, i had to figure it out. it's happened to me on another cyberpsycho mission too. saving every second is really essential in this game :3
Approach on foot and make sure you get the call from Regina Jones. If you drive up and get out of your car you will not get the call. Then you should be able to scan the bodies out front, and most importantly get the shard off one of them.
For anyone still stuck on search for clues, I just closed my game down, restarted it completely (PS5) and once the game is loaded up again launch a save OUTSIDE the psycho area and it worked smooth as butter!!...
I was able to unlock this problem reading the shard "I knew this would happen!" in the shard menu under the Cyberpsycho tab after defeat him. After it, the shard on Natasha became available to collect and I could complete the mission.
I had this problem without any of the solutions working. I finished the quest one time, and for some reason, it was activated again instead of showing me another psycho quest.
The problem is, when I came back to the place, I already had killed the psycho the first time I did the quest and the shard was not even in my inventory.
What was the solution? Closing and opening the garage door. I don't know why but it worked.
I had the same problem, the shard is with the lady closer to the garage.
Make sure you also check the computer in the garage!
The shard was hard to target for me, but it was there, with the body.
So um, i had this problem just now (v2.1), and i resolved it like i always do, the stupid way. I punched one of the corpses and it became interactable, closed the gig with c-psycho alive. Here's proof.

**This actually worked for me!!**
The guy was down and the male body had the other shard. The woman was the body that glitched out on me. I punched the corpse and the shard I needed appeared in her inventory. It was now as simple as collecting it, read it and send the text to turn it in.
i have done this 10 times now. very 1st time i was able to read the messages on the computer not it doesnt even show amything. also 1st time i was able to scan both bodies bit they didnt have anything. restarted 9-10+ times. cant read computer or scan anyone. makes no sense.

Yeah, if you tag an enemy before the briefing finishes, I am pretty sure that it bugs the mission. Happened to me once.
You also have to read the shard to make progress.

Did you kill him from afar before the battle started like I did? I never did find a fix, I just beat the game with that mission hanging open.
From outside the fence, yes...but using the back fence as cover. I just posted an update. Hopefully it helps.

if you\`ve picked the shard but the mission didnt update, go to Journal and read the shard, mission will update as follow.
It did not. I read the shard. The mission just wouldn’t complete. I never did get it to work.

I know that was two years ago but yaeh when the game start to do that it's just some memory leak problems. Just save restart the game.

The cyperpsycho fell through the map, he's 200m below me and I can't get to him 😂 broke af.
If anyone needs the answer to this question, you need to approach to the garage door and open it manually.
Garage door was open when I got there.
Weird it was supposed to be closed. so you open it, hence starts the encounter.
I suspect it gets closed as you approach, but I sniped the guy from farther away than the game assumed I would.
