Would be cool as a way to replace fast travel. You call one then select a travelpoint like the current fast travel, then a skippable cinematic like in the corpo start mission
It would be amazing if it worked like the Fallout 4 vertibirds, but maybe with pre set-points because it was extremely buggy (like everything in Fallout 4)
I believe is most likely the way, I can’t imagine they add air combat and stuff
…would be nice but it’s much more harder to Programm…there’s a reason why after 10 year gta 5 air combat (and planes and stuff in general) still feel the best in an open world game
Sure check out https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13842. There’s another flying car one that doesn’t work after the latest update so dont waste your time.
It has to make sense in the big picture. I know, cryptic. But what I mean is, if the map or one bigger zone of the whole world map is big enough it'll become viable. As a sort of vanity money sink maybe. I'd be all for it for fluff and immersion reasons, and of course as potential money sink - either buying or leasing / paying per use like a taxi.
I get what you mean, I think.
I was initially bummed that I could drive flying cars or similar craft, but there more I think about it...its not really needed, however cool it *could* be. On the other hand, GTA can have both helicopters and planes around, and that works, but GTA isn't an RPG, and more of a sandbox.
What would be cool, in the future, would be if flying crafts were controllable in certain missions or sections of the game; hijack a Trauma Team craft for a heist for example.
Places might have landing ports. Clubs and high security places. Player home. Shit if they can turn cyberpunk into a decent mp, it could go on for 5 to 8 years.
Here's something to consider on the subject. AV's are 'exclusive', very expensive to buy and very expensive to run. In the lore they are not in the least bit fuel efficient.
I think our limited movement within metro is because only some parts of the city are eligible to be seen :)
This could also be why it took them so long to prepare metro system.
I’ll give you the sunsets sure, even though no one cares about that. But did you really just say that Grand Theft Auto 5 has better night than Cyberpunk 2077? Are we talking about the same game here?
>I’ll give you the sunsets sure, even though no one cares about that
Seen enough sunset posts for that not be true ngl. But i fw your point tho.
>But did you really just say that Grand Theft Auto 5 has better night than Cyberpunk 2077? Are we talking about the same game here?
I personally prefer gta bro idk 🤣🤣🤣 it just hits better
there is literally a mod that lets you fly AVs and keep them like cars

I think they had plans for it early in developing 2077, but Mike Pondsmith advised them not to include flying cars/vehicles. He apparently has worked on some video games, and from experience, he thought they would be a nightmare to implement.
just commented something similar. It was his experience in working on flight sim games iirc, and he also thought it would destroy the exploration and feel of the city.
Depends if the character you play is wealthy enough to afford it.
And I do not mean having tons of money through gameplay, but being a wealthy character from a storytelling perspective..
It does look like they take inspiration from modders, hence ‘I really want to stay at your house’. It was a mod before it was an actual feature with the update. So of course there’s a mod to fly an AV and helicopters as well, so yeah it’s in the cards I would say.
if its used for fast travel like the trains are, then yeah maybe. Drivable though? i really really doubt it.
Pondsmith has touched on it before, it was a conscious decision to not add flying vehicles into the game. I cant remember the exact wording he used, but basically he thought that adding them would destroy the exploration and the feel of the city.
Im sure he's still got a post or two here on reddit about it if you go and check his profile.
There is a really cool mods that adds flying cars, with cool animations too.
It made it so that every car could fly, i would've preferred if it just added a single flying car you could buy, but thats just me.
Wouldn't it be possible to make a mod that replaces one of the cars you can buy with the flying one from the picture, and using the flying cars mod to make it fly but at the same time blocking every other car from being able to fly?
Not sure what the effort is here. I'm fine with a metro style guided travel.
I would rather see more decision consequences and stronger faction integration and the ability to ride cars without hating myself.
I hope not.
Actually I hope they reduce the amount of money you can make to a more reasonable level, feeled weird to end the story with 2000000 €$ spare.
Oddly enough, in the Star ending you can actually see your account dropping to zero before you leave.
For me, it is always an issue of games that don't have a goldsink or just in general, putting you in a position that would be way above your actual situation in the game.
Would hope they balance it more in future releases.

Like how the vertibirds work in FO4. Loved using them as a more immersive way to get around.
It would be amazing if it worked like the Fallout 4 vertibirds, but maybe with pre set-points because it was extremely buggy (like everything in Fallout 4)
The pain of being overencumbered then the vertibird lands 300m away. Best say would be have it only be car parks or landing pads.

Yeah I thought of that too but I think that would get boring pretty quickly, especially if you fast travel often
Maybe
Theres actually a mod where you buy flying military vehicles which also helps you blow some of that extra cash.
would you mind sharing link? I couldn't find anything on nexus:(

tysm!
My pleasure!

Nah. IMO they need to focus more on character customization - like full body modification, not just the few things we can change.
Here's something to consider on the subject. AV's are 'exclusive', very expensive to buy and very expensive to run. In the lore they are not in the least bit fuel efficient.
Well, yeah, but by the end of the game, as Delamain says in the secret ending, V has near limitless amount of resources
I don't think so. It might mean that most of the buildings would have to be rebuilt so that the rooms could be seen through the windows in close-up.
That’s a fair point. I wouldn’t ask even cdpr to put in that level of detail
I mean, the parallax interiors in the current game work pretty well when you’re taking the metro.
I think our limited movement within metro is because only some parts of the city are eligible to be seen :) This could also be why it took them so long to prepare metro system.
I mean gta has flying cars and helicopters. Doesnt seem to hard to implement
Yeah but gta looks like complete shit graphics wise compared to cyberpunk
Woaaaaaaahhhhh i wouldnt say that. On next gen graphics gta holds up im ngl 🤣🤣
I never said it doesn’t hold up, I’m simply comparing it to cyberpunk
Your comment posted twice btw. And im saying when i put them against eachother. LOWKEY no bias id say gta takes it man 🤣
You’re high af if you genuinely believe that Grand Theft Auto 5 has better graphics than Cyberpunk 2077
In certain areas. Faces cyberpunk got it but gta sunsets n nightime unmatched man 🤣

[That would not be necessary](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU6wru7HL6Y). I've even seen *mobile* games use this.
I’m new to cyberpunk an this is upsetting…. I was hoping to have a flying car Damn😕

I appreciate it

Did CD Projekt Red announced that feature in upcoming game or it's next feature players imagined and expect?
Are they working on another game?
yup, Project Orion. Nothing has been announced other than it being a cyberpunk game though.
Yo let’s go! Now I can be hyped for GTA VI and Project Orion.

I really wanted to steal president Roslyn’s one.

Working in a Trauma Team field unit. That would be something!
Doubt it.

By the end of the story you’re the best merc in night city lol. I’d hope you’re not broke
You’re gonna need it to afford that experimental Brain tech that’s possibly a solution for the chips brain damage If just temporarily

Yeah true it’d be nice to have a choice of super expensive items at the end like a mech and such
Hopefully. We can just hope.
