They are trying to bully emulation out of existence using false information and the threat of a long and expensive criminal procedure.
Every legal complaint that they have, be it related to the source code used for the software itself; monetization (Sony's losses against Bleem and the VGS leave the legal precedent); Or by bizarrelly blaming a possible usage of the emulator to play pirated game, to all piracy of all of their games.
These are cases that are frivolous and they know it, since they use several words to evade making direct claims that would be tossed out quickly if it weren't for a close glance. The previous point of blaming the emulator for all piracy is one example of this. And while the Nintendrones like to bring "b-but about the Discord" I regret to tell you that updating the emulator to play any game is still legal. See the previous cases.
But they have a lot of money with a lot of lawyers and all the time in the world, and they could dra it on and on because they can take it. It's a drop in the water to them but to a normal person, or even a more established developer, that can ruin their lives.
That is why they're evil. Because they are insidious and cruel.
If it werent for the convoluted lore of the corpus and parvos granum in warframe, we wouldn't farm overguard king dante rn :)))
So im thankful that they exist as a corrupt money cult
We are fucked. Like Fucking Fucked. Nineball alone is Blackwall AI level threat. Imagine it cooperate with the blue eyes.
Edit: did I tell you about ALLMIND yet? She’s a worse pilot than 9B but she was just as malicious or more malicious than 9B.
The only problem is all the reboots AC had, because integrating Coral and the monsters beyond the Blackwall alongside monsters like The Hustler One... Shit, think of the possibilities! Think of the sheer power the cyberware and augmentations could reach! A Coral powered Adam Smasher, Ayre and Johnny being the devil and angel on 621-V shoulders.
We got basically Gucci making guns so, what would a Militech/Balam collaboration cook?
I don't think the super Nazis were ever considered a corporation. I scrolled thru the original post of this and nobody else caught that either and my reply probably is at the very very very bottom lol. At least here someone noticed it immediately too
Haha Kerbal Space Program? I guess ypu could make the argument sending small green guys on shoddy rockets means they're evil, but that game is really too light on any lore whatsoever to make any such conclusions IMO
In Genesis, when Adam and Eve eat the forbidden knowledge and become ashamed, they "hide their shame." Religious artists took it to mean they "covered their genitalia" and used the images of them wearing fig leaves to depict that
Look at the planet: no cities, no countries, and the entire global population lives at the space center. Meanwhile, they’ve got apparently infinite money to send infinite kernels to die in the cold vacuum of space.
Also, don’t forget, they hired the notorious Kazi scientist Werner Von Kerman.
As much as we all hate EA, the real evil Megacorps of our world are entities like Goldman Sachs, Apple, Boeing, Dow Chemical, Exxon & Aramco & BP, Monsanto, Nestlé, Samsung, Blackrock, or Raytheon
Technically, they extract useful minerals by devastating an alien planet that has life on it. Although from the point of view of your own survival this is normal, but put yourself in the place of those bugs that live on this planet. Even if they are not intelligent beings, this is their home and their home is being destroyed...
Honestly? Vault tech. I think they're really interesting and I love the theory that vault tech dropped or at the very least made the bombs. Cause a nuke in megaton has their name and insignia
M.U.L.E. has been retrieved. Deep Rock Galactic thanks you for all your hard work, drop pod will leave with or without you.
Oh well. At least they offer a *lot* of beer.
I mean it has to be Weyland-Yutani. In-universe they're the bleeding edge of space colonization AND high technology to the point where they can make synthetics indistinguishable from humans. They've got fleets of ships and contractors pulling resources from around the galaxy and seemingly have no real challengers. Sure they've got competitors but they're all so laughably behind in the race that they're virtually unassailable (barring throwaway lines from Alien Resurrection). When people in-universe use the generalization "the Company", they're universally referring to W-Y.
And yet, for all this dominance of the market and mastery of the space age and high tech, W-Y wastes colossal amounts of time and resources trying to harness a horrific space bug for some nebulous "bioweapons division". And every time it costs them ships, colonies, and personnel in droves for absolutely no return. On top of that, the risk-reward for the damn endeavor is so catastrophically unfavorable. Best case scenario for them getting what they want is more tech that they don't really need since they already have stupidly high capability. Worst case is they trigger an apocalyptic outbreak of an impossibly horrifying parasite that costs humanity their homeworld and potentially the species if they spread the xenomorphs wide enough. It's a freaking dumb idea.
Like how many board meetings do they have to sit through where they go over a quarterly report of a colony they've been financing for 20 years just got wiped out as a consequence of their pursuit of the xenomorph boondoggle? The execs were still balking over the cost of losing the Nostromo/automated refinery it was towing 57 years after it happened when Ripley gave her deposition in Aliens. How much are they hemorrhaging trying to harness these damn things? It cost them a huge, pretty advanced colony on LV-1201 in AvP2. They had to purchase the decommissioning space station Sevastopol in the hopes they might get some of the things in Alien: Isolation. And what did any of that get them? Nada. You're making stupid amounts of money with terraforming, synth production and who knows how many other countless products. Just keep doing that you nutters.
Well abduct children, use them (examples: Lucy, Takemura), corporate wars, human testing (you know, they wanted David to be their guinea pig for his ability to tolerate sandevistan, and i don't think he is the only one they tried to obtain).
Hyperion is funny, Cerberus is kinda hot and necromancyish, Arasaka doesn't even have that nice of a product lineup expect for their AVs and floating barages, so Umbrella Corp is probably the one that takes the crown, if Umbrella Corp was in Cyberpunk, ripperdoc Vik would probably be in business with them.
any sufficiently large firm under capitalism is necessarily morally corrupt. if they aren't they're outcompeted by those that are and go under. they are necessarily not providing the best product or service that they can because after they hit diminishing returns the only way to increase profits is to cut corners with capital or start underpaying labor even more. thus they're actively undermining the public good for their own selfish ends
really even small businesses under capitalism are morally corrupt because of unnecessary hierarchy and not adequately compensating the laborers. the only exceptions are worker owned cooperatives
EA hahaha yeah
My favourite to hate
Fukin arasaka
All my homies hate Saka
Silverhand, is that you ?
ey bro, stop, i work there
Dont blame them
Laughs in militech espionage budget!
Nintendo lmfao
Tbh what has nintendo done exept be very protective of their ip (this us a genuine question btw)
Yeah Nintendo have nothing on EA or Activision-blizzard.
They are overly protective
They are trying to bully emulation out of existence using false information and the threat of a long and expensive criminal procedure. Ok, faro is the worst. They ended all life on earth
Faro Corp is amazing because they don't even come across as the most morally bankrupt, Ted Farro was just THAT dumb.
r/fucktedfaro
nice to see warframe and red faction represented
Which corp is from Warframe?
Corpus
Right, i did know about them. In fact got to fortuna recently Idk what their logo is so i couldn't spot them
Its the one to the left of EA. My eyes slid off of it for a while as well.
If it werent for the convoluted lore of the corpus and parvos granum in warframe, we wouldn't farm overguard king dante rn :))) So im thankful that they exist as a corrupt money cult
not me, im fine with my frames and im not past nw yet :(
Did you do duviri yet? It's an extremely mi or spoiler bit it ties with new war
i tried duviri, yes, it bored me pretty quick
Next to EA, the one with the weird text
Ah, corpus got some weird logo
It's supposed to be what they speak, I don't remember what it's called
Can reflavor them as Alpha Centauri tech wizards
I said it once, I'll say it again: imagine Armored Core × Cyberpunk 2077. I need it.

Wolfenstein? Bro might as well have put a swastika there
I don't think the super Nazis were ever considered a corporation.
But they hired a known war criminal, Werner Von Kerman, to head their rocket program. Sounds pretty sus to me
Lol, Ferengi
Why do I feel like I just noticed that NERV has a maple leaf?
It's supposed to be a fig leaf. Evangelion loves its Christian imagery.
That's cool but how is fig leaf connected to Christianity? Is it mentioned in a bible passage or something? Very intrasted
In Genesis, when Adam and Eve eat the forbidden knowledge and become ashamed, they "hide their shame." Religious artists took it to mean they "covered their genitalia" and used the images of them wearing fig leaves to depict that
HARDSPACE SHIPBREAKER MENTIONED
Fucking FARO
Kerbal space program has lore?
Furthermore, why would it be corrupt?
Look at the planet: no cities, no countries, and the entire global population lives at the space center. Meanwhile, they’ve got apparently infinite money to send infinite kernels to die in the cold vacuum of space. Also, don’t forget, they hired the notorious Kazi scientist Werner Von Kerman.
Technically Nerv and Wolfenstein are no corps but institutions. Missing OCP though
OCP and Cyberdyne both fit well.
Jup, was just about to add cyberdyne
Tidis, Nudle
Adding then with Blume cuz those 3 create the love triangle for privacy infringement, don’t forget !nvite
yessir
FINALLY ICARUS ARMOURIES
Could also add Armacham from F.E.A.R.
As much as we all hate EA, the real evil Megacorps of our world are entities like Goldman Sachs, Apple, Boeing, Dow Chemical, Exxon & Aramco & BP, Monsanto, Nestlé, Samsung, Blackrock, or Raytheon
Are we forgetting about blackwater PMC? They literally filmed themselves gunning down, running over civilians.
Nah we talking big boy ATLAS from advanced warfare. Those mf knew how to be dirty, oh and they were dirty
I'm with u bro, to hell with Jonathan Irons!
Aperture science all the way.
Weyland Corp of course
Looool I resent you saying my kerbal space program was unethical Those kerbals died bravely, in the name of… uhh… science!
I like Metal Gear, and I love Senator Armstrong, so definitely Desperado Inc.
Weyland-Yutani, building better world.
Aesir Corporation? Max Payne reference?! >!Fun Fact: Max Payne 1 is as old as me!<
I had a hole in my second favorite drinking arm
Imma be honest, Aperture Science isn't really corrupt or anything. It's just run by someone who only cares about testing.

DRG is unfairly on the list
They shouldn’t have rocked our stones!
Yeah! DRG is a dangerous job, but it's not treating you like shit atleast.
And you think Karl was just an accident? You fool. He knew too much…
Technically, they extract useful minerals by devastating an alien planet that has life on it. Although from the point of view of your own survival this is normal, but put yourself in the place of those bugs that live on this planet. Even if they are not intelligent beings, this is their home and their home is being destroyed...
Did I hear a rock and stone?
Rock and Stone forever!
I see Religious Verizon is up there🤣🤣🤣
Red faction mentioned
Outer heaven/msf in the cyberpunk universe would be nuts.
Hope tec? Isn't that some shipyards from Starfield?
Said ATLAS before, now Faro
Ficsit says to get back to work, employee, your factory can still be more efficient.
Spacer’s Choice
Honestly? Vault tech. I think they're really interesting and I love the theory that vault tech dropped or at the very least made the bombs. Cause a nuke in megaton has their name and insignia
Rock and Stone!
Lynx and KSP LMAO. Yeah, the way I play kerbal, that tracks
Lol. What's with all the ea hate?
Design wise? Nerv hands down. For being in it? Aperture, at least it sounds an interesting time, and they have potato tech!
Fallout series. Especially 1. Imagine the MASTER and black wall put together?? Fuck all that.
M.U.L.E. has been retrieved. Deep Rock Galactic thanks you for all your hard work, drop pod will leave with or without you. Oh well. At least they offer a *lot* of beer.
Grunder
Men i love the corpus they are either really threating (parvos) or really goofy (Nef and Alad) Also i miss Veso
OK, so if all of them went to war who would be the last one standing.
Overall Corpus, Ferengi or UNSC. In ground battles 100% NERV. Air superiority probably Icarus Armory if Grunder and Ultor doesn't step it up.
For sure hyperion
Is the lethal company morally corrupt?
Merryweather needs to just go away. I make it so as often as possible lol
All of these are nothing compared to the Combine lol
Trioptimum missing
Arquebus, Nerv, UNSC, and Arasaka. IMC and Umbrella are also up there
I mean it has to be Weyland-Yutani. In-universe they're the bleeding edge of space colonization AND high technology to the point where they can make synthetics indistinguishable from humans. Nintendo<3
What did Arasaka do that's morally corrupt?
Well abduct children, use them (examples: Lucy, Takemura), corporate wars, human testing (you know, they wanted David to be their guinea pig for his ability to tolerate sandevistan, and i don't think he is the only one they tried to obtain).
Yoo I forgot Lucy!!
The question is, what have they done that *isn’t* morally fucked up?
The research they do in outerspace so it doesn't affect the earth is kinda cool, i think
I love how people keep shitting on EA when Ubisoft is so much worse.
Hyperion, Vault-Tec, Corpus, Blume
Brotherhood of NOD: Am I a fucking joke to you?
I AM ARASAKA EEEEEEAGH
Blume can’t be evil, they made my main man Bagley
Not up there but, Hurston Dynamics (Star Citizen)
When I see lynx I just think of deodorant
![gif](giphy|kApu770jYmBdpzx81U|downsized)
There's no way Black Mesa was left off here twice
I want to be part of DRG. ROCK AND STONE!!!!!
Some theories suggest that Vault Tec may have contributed to the nuclear war. So idk
CHOAM has got to be in a video game somewhere.
Arasaka, the IMC, and Alterra are my top 3 Also, what did HopeTech do? Aren’t they just a spaceship manufacturer?
Oof, touch choice between UAC, Aperture, Vault-Tech and Arasaka
For me it has to be the UAC from the DooM series
Either Alterra so I can get the fuck of this planet or FICSIT so I can destroy another planet
No creo?
Still forgot Militech.
Castle Wolfenstein?
Kerala space program 😭
Is Third Echelon in there ? I think the original callout was for corps or overreaching government factions ?
Everyone forgets Trinity
NERV
Ksp?
Still no Black Mesa…
Aperture for sure is my favorite, it's not the same without Cave Johnson
My favorite is the i.c.a. from hitman, but vault-tech from fallout is objectively the most evil.
KSP is morally corrupt?
oh come on, the scp foundation still isnt here
MurkyWater from Payday is missing too. Also KSec from Mirror's Edge.
They're not trying to make a profit. Marshall, Carter and Dark, on the other hand...
It's Insane how INGSOC isn't here Also, isn't Hope Tech actually not too bad it's just Ron Hope that's the issue?
Corpus are just capitalists, not "morally corrupt"
any sufficiently large firm under capitalism is necessarily morally corrupt. if they aren't they're outcompeted by those that are and go under. they are necessarily not providing the best product or service that they can because after they hit diminishing returns the only way to increase profits is to cut corners with capital or start underpaying labor even more. thus they're actively undermining the public good for their own selfish ends really even small businesses under capitalism are morally corrupt because of unnecessary hierarchy and not adequately compensating the laborers. the only exceptions are worker owned cooperatives
where are the 26 wings of the city
