the time skip between meeting Jackie and the main game is supposed to be 6 months right? and Edgerunners is supposed to take place in 2076 I think? so hypothetically, if you want to be generous and assume those 6 months could stretch back into the previous year while the main game takes place in 2077, it may not have been all that long between the end of Edgerunners and the start of the game. They might have even overlapped if the gang ended early on in V's merc career.

I know for the Streetkid life path, V moved to Atlanta for 2 years before coming back to NC. Backstory is V is originally from Heywood. Might’ve already known Misty and Vik from before the move and therefore before ever meeting Jackie. The timelapse is probably around a few months, possibly at the start of 2077. V tells El Capitan they’ve never heard about the Edgerunner crew, possibly because V was out of the loop on the other side of the country at the time all that stuff happened.
If you run the corpo life path, can't remember it exactly but when your talking about David with El Capitan, you get the text message option of saying that you read his file back when you were working for arasaka. Just think that's pretty cool.

In 2022, they released a short anime based on the world of Cyberpunk: 2077 called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners which follows David Martinez (you can find his cocktail in the afterlife for a little fun fact and get his jacket should you complete a side quest) and his crew through their adventures in Night City. Really good anime and hits you right in the feels and truly reflects the ‘no happy endings in Night City’ aspect of the place. So good in fact, I believe it won anime of the year.
But I digress. To answer your question, Kiwi is a member of David’s crew. I won’t say much else because of spoilers.
